"You know how I feel about her, Gabriel."
"She's doing her job. I hired her for a reason."
I sighed, leaning against him, "She's broken you."
"I was already broken. She's just arranged the pieces."
Moira scowled, "I'm sitting right here, you two. Gabriel, you're dismissed. I've collected enough of your blood for now." I stood and heaved Gabriel up, now letting him lean against me. He always grew light-headed after giving blood. We soon collapsed on his bed, the man letting out a heavy breath. I rested one hand on his back, my other moving to rest over his clasped fingers, their chill immediately catching my attention, "Why are your hands so cold?"
"Bad circulation. Also, I'm dead."
"Oh, stop that."
I brought his hands up to my lips and kissed his knuckles, "You're letting her push you too hard."
"I'm alright."
We heard snickering, and glanced to his curtains, staring at the perfect shapes of Genji and McCree curving the fabric. I rolled my eyes and stood, ruffling Gabe's hair, "I'll leave you and your children to it, then. Reckon they're waiting for a bedtime story."
The two poked their heads out, McCree scowling, "Hey, now, we ain't children!"
"Then stop acting like children."
Genji poked his head out, "Gabriel? I don't feel good."
Gabe glanced over, "Go get some rest. I'll make you soup."
I rolled my eyes, a small smile on my lips, "Right. You boys have fun, alright? Come get me if you need anything." My eyes caught Gabe's the moment I stepped out, some heavy weight dragging my heart down. I sighed softly and shrugged the feeling off, heading to my room.
