I heard a loud knock, and put down my fork, standing up and going to the door. If you took me away from my food, thats how you knew I cared. I opened it and saw Sturges. He beamed at me and stepped inside, as he usually did when stopping by. I offered him some of the food I made, and he politely declined, saying he was just dropping something off. His face was red, and he smiled a little, taking something out of his pocket, "I got you this. I was workin' on it for a while, and I finished it up this mornin'. Thought you'd use it more than me."

"This is amazing! You got it working?"

I took the little clock into my hands, happy that it was soundless. I watched the second hand move, and Sturges blushed, "Mhmm. I'm real glad you like it..."

I set it in my kitchen, putting it by the sink. I wrapped my arms around Sturges's shoulders, hugging him. When I pulled away, he looked light-headed. "It's an amazing gift. I love it. Do... Do you need some water or something...?"

He shook his head, "No, I-I think it's just the heat. Been a real devil lately, ain't it? I best be goin'..."

"Alright... I'll see you around!"

He thanked me for having him come in, and left. I looked back to my little alarm clock happily, and sat down to finish my breakfast. Sturges had been bringing me numerous little gifts for about a month now, and I finally had something I could get him in return. Around a week and three gifts later, I finally had everything ready. I got it all set up, and smiled, holding them behind my back and going to his door. With my free hand, I knocked. He opened it, blushing when he saw me, like it was unexpected for me to stop by. It was. He smiled, "Ain't this a pleasant surprise! What are you doin' here?"

"I got you something."

"Oh, you didn't have to do that..."

I looked down, "No, I... I did. You've been getting me such amazing things and I'll feel bad if I don't give something back. You're really good with mechanics and I can't really do much, so I, uh... I thought you might like these."

From behind my back, I took out a short-cut bunch of sunflowers I had. He immediately took them, and ushered me inside. He handed them to me and scrambled around for a vase. He found a nice glass one, and set them up, smiling at me, "I... I don't know what to say... These are my favorite... Did you know that?"

I chuckled, "Yeah. You told me, remember?"

He leaned on the counter, resting his chin on his palm and gazing affectionally at the yellow flowers, "I don't remember most stuff I say around you. You just got that effect on me, I guess."

I blushed, "I, uh..."

"Daffodil's are my second favorite."

"You like yellow, huh?"

He smiled, "The color yellow makes me almost as happy as you do."

I felt my throat dry up and my heart hammered. I'd never felt this way around him, but suddenly I was breathless. I cleared my throat, "I'm, uh... I'm glad you like them."

He walked around the bend of his counter, holding his arms out. Feeling like I'd been holding my breath for two long, I wrapped myself up in his arms. He hugged me sweetly, kissing the top of my head, "Would you like to... go out some time?"

I pulled away, looking up at him, "Of course."

"Can I kiss you?"

"Of course."

He pushed his lips to mine, pulling me closer and me melting with him. After a second or two, he pulled away, blushing and beaming like an idiot, "You know, that's the first time I've ever kissed anyone."

I laughed, "Really?"

"Really."

I looked up at him, and he kept my gaze for what seemed like forever. I heard a loud crash and that distracted both of us. We immediately separated and looked over to a window, which Deacon had punched a hole in then jumped through. He clambered to his feet, and narrowed his eyes at the two of us, then looked to the sunflowers. He looked at us suspiciously, "Hmph."

We watched dumbly as he scrambled back out of the window, and a loud thud and curse outside signified how his landing went. I sighed, "He... I just... He's like that. Sorry."

"Why...?"

I shrugged, "Why he broke and jumped through your window? Dunno. Can you fix it?"

"I can fix just about anythin'."
