"I think this is the making of my greatest ballad yet." Jaskier said and was at the edge of tears. "If you're alive in the morning." Geralt said and pulled me by my upper arm to leave. "No, wait! Wait." Duny shouted. So we did. We turned around and looked at the man in front of us. "You saved my life." Duny said. "I must repay you, Witchers."
"You've proven yourself to be the kind of man who would do the same. We want nothing." He said for both of us and I nodded agreeing. "No, please." he pleaded. "Please, Geralt of Rivia, Evelyn of Lyria, do not feel like you're doing me a service." How did he know my name? "I cannot start a new life in the shadow of a life debt." Geralt nodded then and I sighed. "Fine." I said now.
"We..." he looked at me and I shrugged. "Claim the tradition as you have," I agreed on that. "The Law of Surprise. Give us that which you already have but do not know" he finished his sentence. Calanthe interrupted. "No. What have you done, Witchers?" she asked in shock. "Fear not, Your Majesty, if we were seen in your kingdom again, it'll be to kill a real monster, not lay claim to a crop or a new pup. Destiny can go fuck-"
He got interrupted by Pavetta puking on the floor. Duny and Calanthe kneeled before her, and everyone was gasping. Damn, a lot of gasping today. "Pavetta?" Calanthe asked. She put her hand under her daughter's chin. "Are you..." Calanthe looked up in shock at Geralt and me. "Fuck." we both cursed and walked off. My eyes were wide and my brain was still not able to realize what just happened.
Mousesack walked after us. "Clearly the girl has access to immense primal power." he spoke but we ignored it. I wasn't able to listen. So that's what the fortune teller meant, a child of surprise which is technically mine but not really mine. Geralt was annoyed and turned around. "Yeah, and with no idea how to control it." Mousesack rubbed his palms. "I'm gonna stay. Guide her."
"You're a good man, Mousesack." Geralt said and continued walking I clung to his arm to not fall while walking. "You should stay too." Mousesack said. "This been enough partying for me." Geralt said. "I'm never going to party for the next 30 years." I mumbled at what Geralt chuckled. "We're getting out of here. Alone."
"You're both bound to this now." I turned to face the mage. "Whether you like it or not." I shook my head. "Oh, no, no, no! We're not raising a child! We're not into that, thank you." I sassed at him. "You can't outrun destiny just because you're terrified of it. It's coming, Evelyn." He spoke to me. "Not believing won't change that.", "Bullshit." Geralt answered.
"This was just a girl using her magic to stop her mother from gutting her lover. Nothing more." Geralt shook his head and put one of his hands on my lower back to relax me. "So you say. But the bond that will come into between you and this child when it is born, will be extraordinary. If you dismiss it, leave without claiming this child surprise, you will surely unleash true calamity upon us all." he said and pointed inside the hall. "I'll take that chance. Can we now please leave?" I uttered.
Geralt put a hand on Mousesacks shoulder. "Be careful, old friend." he said goodbye and we walked out of the castle. Outside it was dark and our horses were chewing on some hay peacefully. "Fuck, Geralt, we're having a child! I never expected to say this but, we're having a fucking child!" I shouted and ruffed my hair. "Calm down." he said and wrapped his arms around my waist. "No, we're not." he whispered in my ear but we claimed the Law of Surprise so we will.
Without thinking we rode on Amber and Roach to the next inn and midway I realized we forgot Jaskier. "Dammit, Geralt. Jaskier's still there." I told him but he shrugged. "He found himself someone to spend the night with. Don't worry about that bard." I groaned at that but he's right. It's not like Jaskier stayed behind already sometimes.
We arrived at the inn we were before the banquet and went to the room from before. There I would slip out of that dress and the shoes. I now wore my corset and the rest of my underwear. "Need a hand?" Geralt asked and went towards me. I nodded and he opened the corset along with my bra. Then he tried to tease me. "We could, for fun, pretend that we're really having a child but first that child must be made." he offered in a weird way. I rolled my eyes. "I don't want children!" I put my hands on my hips. He chuckled. "I know. Me neither. Still, we can have some fun, huh?" He asked and wrapped his arms around me and gave me a gentle kiss on the lips which I returned. My hands were on his neck, playing with a few locks of his white hair.
In the meanwhile, my other hand wandered to his one arm where I would pull it out of the jacket. I did the same with the other arm and then let the jacket fall down on the floor. Much better, this thing really wasn't pretty. I opened the buttons of his shirt but we never broke the kiss. He couldn't do much since the only thing I wore now, were my panties. I played with the waistband of his pants and slowly opened its button and his trousers were now hanging loose on his hips just like his shirt was completely open and it gave me space to roam around his upper body.
He did the same; let his hands wander from my belly to my back and to my butt. I broke the kiss to get rid of his shirt and for me to look at his muscles. I bit my lower lip and gave his pants the final push so they would fall.
