George and I stayed cuddled together, talking about whatever we could think of until the bell rung. He slowly let go once it did, making me sigh with a frown.Y/N:
"I don't wanna go to my next class."GEORGE:
"Me either but, we probably should." He returned the frown then stood up and reached his hands out to me.I took his hands and stood up. Then I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my cheek against his chest.
Y/N:
"Thank you for being here..."He slowly started to hold me back.
Y/N:
"I feel like we never hangout anymore...just the two of us..."George sighed with a nod.
GEORGE:
"I feel that way too...I'm sorry I haven't been making much time for us..."Y/N:
"It's okay...I'm just glad we had our moment today...your hugs just always make me feel better and...things haven't been the same lately..." slight tears formed in my eyes again as I frowned.George rested his head on mine as he held me tighter.
GEORGE:
"I'll try to make more time for us...I promise..."I nodded.
GEORGE:
"You know what..." he took a shaky breath out, "Come to my place after school today."I tilted my head up to look at him with an excited smile and widened eyes.
Y/N:
"Really?"GEORGE:
"Yeah, really..." he giggled while looking down at me.Y/N:
"What about your parents?"GEORGE:
"I say...today they can fuck themselves."I bursted out laughing while letting go of him.
Y/N:
"Wow...where'd that come from?"GEORGE:
"Today." He smiled with a nod, "You guys are right, I wanna enjoy my last year of high school. So, my parents can bitch and scream and throw tantrums but...you make me happy along with those idiots so...I'm gonna start doing what I love."I pouted while smiling.
Y/N:
"You don't know how happy I am to hear you say that." I laughed.George returned the laugh as he swung his backpack over his shoulder.
GEORGE:
"Oh and um...about Clay and Nick..."My smile faded.
GEORGE:
"Just talk to them...they feel really guilty about what happened and...I don't want you feeling numb ever again..." he frowned.I nodded with a sigh.
Y/N:
"I don't think I'm ready to talk to them yet..." I spoke quietly.GEORGE:
"That's okay. Just...let them know you don't hate them." He shrugged with a light smile.I nodded again while looking at the trees in the distance.
Y/N:
"You know um...I think I'll just stay up here until lunch...you can bring them with you then and I'll talk to them..."George's lips curled down.
GEORGE:
"Will you be okay up here alone?"I nodded for a third time with a light smile. George sighed with a light smile back then left.
Once he did, I released the breath I was holding as I gazed at the trees once again.
I ended up laying down on my stomach, leaning my head against my arm as I doodled on my paper again.
Honestly, the silence was calming in a way. Some time later, the wind started to pick up, messing up my drawing process. I sighed then closed my notebook and put it away in my bag.
Then I grabbed my headphones, hooked them up to my phone and began playing a song on one of my playlists.
I held my hands under my head on my back as I looked up at the blue cloudy sky, getting lost in the music.
After a while, I looked at the time. On cue, the bell rung and now it was time for lunch. Clay, George and Nick would be up here any minute.
I sat up, sighing nervously. I didn't know what I was gonna say to them.
Shortly, I heard a noise and saw my 3 best friends make it up to the roof. My head shot to the 3 of them. First, my eyes landed on George, then Clay, then Nick.
Clay immediately ran to me and hugged me tightly, making me freeze.
CLAY:
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he whispered in my ear.I stopped tensing up as I sighed, hugging him back. After a few moments, he let go of me.
CLAY:
"I'm sorry for not doing anything to help you yesterday and I'm sorry for making you feel numb—" he ranted while looking worried at me, "I was just so scared I lost you...I was frozen with fear and I should've done something more. I'm sorry."My lips slowly curled up as I nodded.
NICK:
"Same here...I'm sorry too Y/N." He stepped in and took a piece of paper out of his backpack, "I painted this for you today in Art..."He handed me the artwork. It was a pink and yellow butterfly, it was beautiful. I pouted while smiling, admiring it.
Y/N:
"Thank you..." I smiled at Nick.He nodded as his shoulders dropped with a light smile.
Y/N:
"I'm sorry for giving you guys a hard time I just..." I swallowed hard, "I was scared too and...I guess I was disappointed that you guys froze because...I guess it made me think that you wouldn't...care if...you know..."I frowned as I looked down at the painting.
CLAY:
"Y/N, we would care." He held my wrist, making me look up at him, "Y/N...I'd cry for months if something happened to you..."He returned the frown as I sighed.
NICK:
"Me too..." he spoke quietly, "I don't know what I'd do without you..."GEORGE:
"Same here." He sadly smiled at me.I returned the sad smile to the 3 of them.
Y/N:
"I love you guys." I huffed out a smile. They all murmured in agreement that they love me, then we did a group hug together with smiles. Then after a few moments, we split apart.
CLAY:
"Wanna get some lunch now?"Y/N:
"Yeah, I haven't eaten all day." I chuckled. They returned the laughter then the 4 of us made our way to the cafeteria to eat lunch.
