-GEORGE's POV-
When I came home from the grocery store, I put the groceries away by myself then went upstairs to do my homework.

Right when I entered my bedroom, I saw Y/N and Clay laughing together in Clay's room, which made me shut my curtains instantly. I needed to focus on acing my homework instead of a girl. But, she still crossed my mind about 500 times each minute.

Hours passed and right when I finished all my work, I released a shaky breath out. At that moment, I heard Clay yelling, it sounded like he was outside.

My eyebrows squished together as I moved myself in my chair with my feet, over to my window. I moved my curtain a little to see what was going on outside.

Instantly, I saw Clay's father, making my heart drop.

"How is he out of prison?!" I thought to myself.

That's when I noticed Y/N was hiding behind Clay, he was shielding her. I glanced at his father.

"Don't you dare hurt them, you idiot—" I thought with a hard glare.

After a few moments, Clay's father walked away down the street.

"Yeah walk away you idiot, don't come back." I sighed in annoyance.

My eyes didn't leave him until he wasn't in my view anymore, making me take a deep breath. My eyes soon fell to Clay and Y/N. He was hugging her tightly with a frown, I couldn't help but frown either, seeing my best friend be in pain like that.

Y/N shortly went inside for a moment, I figured now was my chance to cheer Clay up, but before I could, Wilbur of all people walked up to him, making me very confused.

"What's that idiot doing here now??" I rolled my eyes.

Clay seemed to appear just as annoyed as I was. Wilbur soon sat down next to him on the concrete, making me sigh, that should be me comforting my friend, not our enemy.

I couldn't hear what they were saying since I was farther away on a higher level, but I did, however, see Wilbur Soot shed a few tears, making my eyes widen.

"What is he trying to do??" I thought to myself.

Unfortunately, whatever bullshit Wilbur said to Clay worked. My best friend hugged our enemy, making me blink several times to see if my colorblindness was making me actually blind, but it wasn't.

I shook my head in shock and annoyance, seeing them together. Soon, Wilbur drove off and Y/N came back outside for Clay. After they spoke a few words, they went inside, leaving me with about a thousand questions. But, tonight was Clay and Y/N's night to hang out so I couldn't ask them.

So, I bit my tongue, let my curtain fall back to its normal place and theorized about what Wilbur could've said that hit Clay hard enough for a hug.

-Y/N's POV-
Clay and I spoke downstairs for a little until the cookies were done. I tried giving him plenty of kisses and hugs to make him feel better.

When the oven timer went off, I got the cookies out and shut it off. Then, I served some on plates, leaving the rest of them out for Clay's aunt and mom when they come home. My crush and I shortly went upstairs to enjoy the cookies on his comfy bed.

We sat down next to each other while eating our cookies in his room.

Y/N:
"Are they good?" I bit into mine while staring at him.

CLAY:
"Yeah..." He mumbled while playing with his, "I'm sorry, I just...don't feel like eating right now..."

Y/N:
"That's okay." I grabbed our plates and stood up to set them on his desk, then I laid down on his bed.
