-Y/N's POV-
Soon after my conversation with George, the dinner was ready. Clay, George, and I ate dinner with Clay's mom and aunt. We had many laughs, it was fun.

Once it hit 7 o'clock, I knew I had to go to get ready for my first date with Nick. Clay drove me home and wished me good luck. I thanked him for the ride and waved to him, then shut the door and went inside my house.

I was ambushed by my sister at the front door right when I stepped inside. She grabbed my hand and ran upstairs, dragging me with her, making me confused.

When we made it upstairs, she turned the corner and went into my room, then shut and locked the door.

NICOLE:
"Girl where have you been?? You only have an hour to look hot for your first date with your future husband."

I instantly rolled my eyes.

NICOLE:
"Nevermind, no time to talk. Go make yourself hot—" She pushed me into the bathroom and shut the door, making me sigh.

After getting myself mentally prepared, I took my sister's advice and began getting ready. I wrapped my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my makeup bag out of my cabinet.

Once I finished my makeup, I checked the time to make sure I had enough of it, good news is I did. So, I got out my curling iron and got ready. When I was done with my hair, I fluffed out my curls while smiling at myself in the mirror, I had to admit, I did look hot.

Soon, I swung open my bathroom door and looked through my closet for the perfect dress. Shortly, I found it and slipped it on.

When I was fully ready, I took a deep breath in the mirror and smiled to myself. I already began to picture how Nick looked tonight.

On cue, the doorbell rung. Once it did, I headed downstairs to see my date. After walking down the steps, I swung open the front door to reveal my 11th grade crush.

Nick was wearing an all black suit with a red bow-tie, matching me. His hair was messy, but in a cute way. I couldn't help but notice there was nothing in his hands, no flowers or anything. I had to admit, I was a little disappointed, making my smile falter a little.

NICK:
"I..." He was speechless, his cheeks got as red as tomatoes, "You...gorgeous..."

I huffed out a smile.

Y/N:
"You look gorgeous, too." I chuckled.

NICK
"T—Thanks." His lips curled up as his eyes fell to the concrete beside him, "Oh right—"

Out of nowhere, Nick bent down next to him and picked up a gigantic bouquet of light pink roses, making my eyes widen. The bouquet was bigger than he was.

NICK:
"This is for you." He smiled in pride.

Y/N:
"Nick—" I laughed while blushing furiously.
