Chapter 43 ? Initials

Y/N:
"I have." She grinned while walking away, I followed side by side to her.

NICK:
"What else do you think about?"

Y/N:
"Well...I think about a lot of things." She looked at me while holding her hands.

NICK:
"Like?"

Her eyes narrowed at the grass.

Y/N:
"Well...I mainly think about what'll happen after high school..." she sadly smiled.

NICK:
"Oh..." my lips curled down, "What do you think is next?"

Y/N:
"Well...college obviously but um..." she thought for a moment, "What're you gonna do, when high school ends...?"

I swallowed hard while looking around at the trees.

NICK:
"Um...I don't...really know..." I frowned slightly, "Um...I haven't...really, thought about it..."

Y/N:
"Honestly...that's kind of all I think about..." her lips curled down.

The two of us kept strolling throughout the woods.

Y/N:
"Things are gonna change when we graduate..." she swallowed hard, "I don't want them to..."

I nodded slowly then turned my head to her.

NICK:
"Well...you still have time to figure things out..." I lightly smiled.

Y/N:
"Yeah...so do you." She lightly smiled back.

I nodded again then my eyes spotted a rose quartz crystal hidden under some leaves.

NICK:
"Hey check this out—" I went over to the tree and picked up the crystal from the leaves.

Y/N followed me and bent down next to me. I raised up the crystal for her to see.

Y/N:
"Wow." Her lips curled up, "There's no way Gay is gonna beat this."

The both of us laughed together then stood up.

When we did, her eyebrows squished together as she frowned. She slowly raised her hand to touch her neck. My eyes widened at her.

NICK:
"Are you okay??"

Y/N:
"Yeah um...just starting to hurt again..." she swallowed hard while staring at the grass.

NICK:
"We should get back soon so you can rest."

Y/N:
"I'm fine, really. I wanna have a good day with you guys..." she lightly smiled while lowering her hand, "I'll be fine..."

NICK:
"You sure?"

She nodded hesitantly.

NICK:
"Okay...let's get back since we found our item."

She nodded again then we began walking back to the bridge.

After some time, we made it back. George and Clay were already there. Their heads jerked up when they heard us.

CLAY:
"Hey, find something good?"

We sat down across from them.

NICK:
"Yep." I grinned then set down the rose quartz crystal on the bridge.

GEORGE:
"Woah—" his eyes widened while picking it up, examining it, "Where'd you get this?"

NICK:
"Hey, it's mine." I fake pouted while taking it back from him, "We found it in the woods. What'd you guys find?"

George smiled then laid down several different kinds of rocks. Many textures, colors and sizes.

NICK:
"That's trash compared to what we found."

GEORGE:
"No." He scoffed, "This stuff is cool."

NICK:
"Our crystal could be magic, you never know." I grinned.

Clay smiled while shaking his head then his eyes directed over to Y/N. His eyes suddenly widened as his expression dropped.

CLAY:
"Y/N—" he raised his voice.

George and I jerked out heads to see Y/N was bleeding on her neck, making all of our eyes widen.

GEORGE:
"Shit—" he quickly stood up.

The 3 of us stood up and helped Y/N up as she held her neck. Her eyes weren't focused on anything except the ground, like she was deep in thought, making us even more nervous.

Her fingers were covered in blood as some began to run down her neck.

NICK:
"She needs to go home." I spoke to Clay.

GEORGE:
"No, she needs a hospital—" he cut me off.

CLAY:
"Y/N— can you hear me??" he held her cheeks.

Y/N slowly blinked and her eyelids looked heavier than before, making my eyes widen more.

NICK:
"Clay—"

Clay let go of her cheeks and ran to the car. He unlocked the doors then climbed in the drivers seat. George and I helped Y/N into the back seat. Once I got in the passengers seat and shut the door, Clay took off for the hospital.

CLAY:
"Fuck, fuck, fuck—" he raised his voice while slightly hitting the steering wheel, "Why'd we let her leave?!"

I sighed nervously while turning my head over my shoulder to see Y/N. George was holding Y/N's head on his chest while holding onto her so she wouldn't fall. Her eyes were almost shut all the way, she had no expression.

I shut my eyes as I swallowed hard.

We shouldn't have let her leave the hospital so early, let alone let her go out so suddenly. If something happens to her, it's all our fault.
