Chapter 65

Without another word, Luther took their appearance as a cue to bring their siblings'dead bodies to the back of their black jeep. Viktor, Sloane, and Y/N watched silently as the Sparrows accompanied Luther to the back where he place the two corpses.

Once that was done, Sloane slowly took as step forward before Luther went back to his spot, eager to be back into her sister, Fei's arms. Christopher shortly welcomed her back while Ben scowled at the Umbrellas.

"Well, this is it." The silent trade was cut off when Viktor spoke up to make the tension shallow, "This puts an end to it." He stated. All of them thought they could at least end the cycle of vengeance in the feud.

"No." Or so they thought.

Y/N never knew she'd come to this, but Ben's voice was getting on her nerves. "What more do you want?" Asked her, unamused.

"We want the old man, too."

Fei snapped her head to him in disbelief. "What are you doing?" She questioned. Just like the others, she was dumbfounded by the sudden change of plans.

"You wanted a plan. Here it is." Was all Ben said.

"It's a stupid plan." Fei retorted. It was evident that she wasn't going to take this lightly. She despised the fact that he change courses to their plan again.

Viktor didn't like his idea as well. "He isn't part of the deal." He stated, matter-of-factly.

"He is now."

Y/N couldn't help but chuckle out of spite. "Of course you changed your plans the last minute." She sighed out. "It was never a fair game, was it?" She snarked at the spiky haired Sparrow. He was making a fool out of them and she hated that with all her heart.

As Sloane saw the rage sparking in Y/N's eyes, she decided it was time to get them at ease. "Ben, they aren't working with him. They had nothing to do with the attacks that killed--"

"Then, they won't mind finding him and handing him over."

From that moment on, Sloane had nothing else to talk him out of his planned revenge. "It's simple." They all knew Ben wasn't gonna budge, "Bring us the man who killed our siblings, and this will all be over." He negotiated.

"If not..."

Ben ended his demands with a threatening glare. At the same time, he was purposefully picturing the things he would do to the Umbrella Academy for Y/N's telepathy. The way her eyes glowered at him had him feeling triumphant, which summoned the immature side of the girl.

“You're a zero for one, asshole.”

Ben diverted his eyes back at Y/N amidst of them heading back inside the jeep. She acted as if she did say anything to him at all, pretending to rub her eye with her middle finger to make it look like she was flipping him off.

"I almost forgot."

It was obvious that Y/N's actions took a toll on Ben when he suddenly trudged up to her. "Let this be a message to the rest of your family." Before the girl knew it, her face collided with Ben's fist.

"Y/N!"

Sloane looked at her brother in horror after he sent Y/N falling to the ground, spitting out the blood that dripped in her mouth. Viktor helped his sister get back up on her feet while she laughed at Ben who quickly scurried off along with his family. All that for stating the facts.

Lila and Five eventually found the operations bunker after they spent hours looking for it. "Ex-squeeze me." Lila went in first when they slid the door open to yet another closed passage.
