KLAUS CAME RUNNING throughout the cemetery, screaming for help.

At first, he was just anxiously wandering around, reluctantly following his father's orders of overcoming the last ability he wanted to engage with. He could've sworn his bladder shrunk as soon as he heard the whispers and the low growls of the ghosts that lingered around the cemetery. All he had was words of encouragement and a lighter in his pocket.

Incinerating it was a big mistake.

He ended up getting chased by the shrilling and screeching ghosts that already looked like demons to Klaus'eyes.

Run. Run away. Just run away from them, was all Klaus was able to think about right when he almost felt like his face was gonna get eaten by ghosts. Because of this ironic fear, he could feel his confidence beginning to deflate back to the way it was.

"Over here!"

As he saw the old man's flash light shining through the corner of his eye, Klaus ran toward him and hid behind a tombstone. "Quickly." He heard his father's ushers. His palms covering his ear as if it would muffle out the ghosts' screeches. "What are you afraid of?" Reginald questioned.

"The face-eating ghosts?" Klaus answered him, half of it being the statement of the obvious.

Reginald Hargreeves shook his head at the Séance, "No." He said. "You're afraid of failure so you refuse to even try." He stated, "Because you'd rather quit than disappoint."

A brim of tears were starting to invade Klaus' eyes. "Disappoint who?" He asked the old man.

"Me." Reginald answered. He quickly held his flashlight back up when he realized the ghosts were making its way to them again. "In any timeline, I am simply far too brilliant a teacher to have left you so untutored. Conclusion, it was no accident. I made you children feel small, confused about your own powers so that I could control you."

"What? Why would you..." The fact that he confided to Klaus that he was doing it on purpose made got the younger man dumbfounded. "Why would you do that?" Asked Klaus.

"Nevermind that now. Focus! I witnessed you today." Reginald began urging him to bring back the confidence in him that they both worked so hard for. "Inside the overly manicured exterior, you are a warrior. It's these spirits that should fear you."

He was right. Klaus shouldn't let them step over him and taunt them with their demonic faces. "How do I fight them?"

"I don't know." Reginald shrugged, "But I believe with all of my heart that you do." He encouraged the young man. "Show them. Be everything I was afraid to let you become."

"Okay." With that, Klaus was attempting to steady his breathing again. "Okay." Pure determination washing over him after Sir Reginald's words of wisdom, who pulled him up on his feet again to face these haunting bastards. "Okay, fine. I'll do it." Even though he could still feel his knees shaking.

And so, he had Sir Reginald stand back. The old man took it as a cue to turn his flashlight off once Klaus stepped forward with hands up in the air. The ghosts hissing and bellowing, thinking that it would send him running again.

Klaus couldn't help but cough at them as they flew closer into him like smoke. He huddled with himself, preparing to hit them with his best shot.

By the time he let out an adrenaline filled scream, he shone a light from his bodice. He sent them shrieking as they faded away into the darkness. For a moment, he had come to a realization that they weren't so scary as he thought they were.
