Not Even Close || Number Five x Fem!Reader

NOW THAT NUMBER Five has finished explaining, it was time for him to answer questions. Mostly from Luther.

"So... you were a hit man?" Luther concluded as he gave his siblings something to drink which they gladly took.

"Yes." Five answered.

"Is that why they're after her, to make her an assassin?" Luther asked, referring to the H/C haired girl who has barely spoken a word since they started having a conversation about it.

"Possibly.." The girl mumbled. Though she wasn't making eye contact to anybody. She just stared into nothing as she pondered, why would they want me?

"I mean, you had a code, right? You didn't kill just anybody?" Luther interrogated as he sat back down.

"No code." The boy simply replied, "We took out anyone who messed with the time line."

Number One looked at the boy in disbelief, "What about innocent people?" He questioned.

"It was the only way I could get back here." Number Eight understood him. Even though the people he killed didn't do anything wrong, somehow, she understood his situation.

"But that's murder." Said Luther.

"For Christ's sake, Luther, grow up." Y/N snapped, "There's no such thing as good or bad people anymore."

Five agreed, "They're just people, goin' about their lives. But when the world ends, all those people die. Including our family."

Luther didn't say a word no more. The boy sighed, "Time changes everything."

Number Eight decided to leave and go back to the Academy on her own. She had the desire to drown herself with thoughts as she strolled down the sidewalk after she bought a bag of coffee beans so she could have a supply of it at home.

Until she was met by an explosion in front of her. It snapped her out of her thoughts when she heard a familiar cry.

When the fire was small enough to walk pass it, she saw Klaus huddled on the ground, sobbing. "Klaus?" She called out.

Klaus looked up, but he didn't stop sobbing. "Y/N.." He croaked out.

The girl walked up to him and sat him up. She cupped his cheek and wiped his tears away with worry filling her up. "What happened?"

Number Four continued to bawl his eyes out as he couldn't answer the girl. Y/N didn't wait for an answer as she just pulled him into a comforting hug. "It's okay, let it all out." She comforted as Klaus clutched her arm and started crying in grief.

The E/C eyed girl didn't know what happened to him, but it hurt her to see her brother like this. It made her tear up as well. She continued comforting him by rubbing his back. By then, she noticed the blood on his hands.

She was curious, but she didn't ask any more questions. With that she stood the both of them up. Luckily, Number Four didn't fight back.

"Let's go home, yeah?"

When they got home, Klaus went to take a bath. The girl was worried about him. She wanted to ask what happened. But she thought she wasn't the right person to talk to him about it. So she let him be.

Y/N waited for her coffee to be brewed by making herself a snack in the kitchen. For a moment there, she felt like it was just a normal day.

She poured her hot beverage into a cup using her mind as soon as it was finished brewing, adding a teaspoon of sugar before taking a swig.
