AS THEY SPENT their night at the Overpass Inn, Jennifer came knocking at Ben's door in the middle of the night in deep yearn for his company. It felt as though she would die if she wasn't in anywhere near him; if she wasn't going to succumb to her dire need of him. His warmth, his skin, his entirety -- something inside her wanted them.

No words were spoken by the time Ben answered the door. They merely stared into each other's eyes, as if they already knew what they both wanted from each other. Quite frankly, they did.

Jennifer immediately trapped herself in his embrace with her lips mingling with his. They kissed languidly, though their desires grew by the minute as every caress inflicted pleasure that they'd begun stripping off their clothes.

They wanted more. They wanted to feel each other's warmth without clothed barriers. Ben yearned for Jennifer; and Jennifer yearned for him -- the Squid girl and the Tentacle boy. Everything about tonight felt right; like it was bound to happen the moment they met.

Perhaps they are meant to be together.

With feelings as strong as they have for one another, it was no wonder the motel clerk's night had been disturbed as he began to violently vomit out of his eyes and mouth. And vehicles were simultaneously blaring their alarms, on the verge of destruction. Except they were preoccupied with each other's bliss to care about whatever's happening outside Ben's motel room.

Perhaps all they ever needed in this damning world was each other after all.

Y/N woke up in a jolt after Number Five woke her up. A couple of blinks was all it took for her to realize that they were still riding the trains rather than being back home with the rest of their family. The realization had her slump back at her seat, as if all her hopes deflated in one big sigh.

She wiped another bloody tear out of her eye before she took the map from Five. If the catastrophe that flashed in her mind was currently happening, they needed to get back quick -- no matter how stupid the map was making her navigating skills look.

This was the twelfth time they've hopped on a train to find their way back to their timeline. So far, they held out hope that this ride would be their last in every single one of them.

"Maybe we can ride a couple stops eastbound and then we ride three westbound to get back there." Y/N suggested.

"Well, how do we know if the other train's gonna be coming from westbound?" Five questioned. "Besides, we've just learned we can't control the way these run," he pointed, referring to Y/N's telekinesis.

The first time around, Y/N attempted to stop the train with her telekinesis before they'd fully past their stop. Apart from the stunt being so strenuous to Y/N, they merely ended up with a harsh turbulence as they flew across the aisle on both ends while it still ran.

The thought brought out another huff from Y/N. "Wouldn't hurt to rely on intuition from time to time." She grumbled, flailing the map to properly look at it.

"No more winging it." Five deadpanned, in fear of their first attempt at putting his abilities to use.

"Then figure this thing out yourself if your so keen on having a system," She retorted. It didn't take long for to Y/N tear her eyes away from the map as she jabbed it right back into the boy's hands.

She's been looking at the same map too many times; it was no wonder she was getting a thumping headache. And they've been sitting on this train for so long, her butt was beginning to sore as well.

With that, Y/N stood up from her seat and made her way toward the other end of the train car, distancing herself from Five while he begrudgingly analyze the map. She stood there in front of the doorway, watching the aisle of lights flicker as they ran through the tunnel. It was only at that moment that she began to realize that she was alone with Five.
