Y/N HIT THE brakes into a slow halt after they passed by the sign that welcomed them to New Grumpson. Everyone hopped off the van, heading for the payphone nearby to wait for Five who went inside the booth. In search for the possibility of getting Sy Grossman's residency information through the printed phone directory.

Unfortunately, despite reading each name one by one twice, it was a dead end. "No Sy Grossman listed," Five said, walking out of the phone booth, "No Jennifer Grossman either."

The others shook their heads in disapproval whilst stepping off their waiting posts. But after going through the long haul, Allison wasn't planning on turning back just yet. After all, it is a rescue mission. "Yeah, well, we'll just have a look around. If she's here, we'll find her." She replied.

"This is why you do recon, assholes." Ben remarked.

"'Recon?' What are you saying 'recon?' We're not the A-team." Viktor retorted with a scoff.

Ben couldn't help but shot back, "Oh, really?" He cocked his brow sarcastically, "Shit. You fooled me."

"Hey, at least we still have a team." Diego chimed in attempt to lighten up the mood.

Ben, however, wasn't finding it pleasant, "What the hell's that supposed to mean?" He mocked, shortly getting gripped in the collar by Diego.

"Okay, everybody! Look over here and smile!"

But before Diego could lay a punch on him, everyone was called by Luther who had his camera at the ready to snap a photo. Everyone -- except Diego, Ben, and Y/N -- refused to cooperate and pose, finding it weird that Luther was treating this rescue mission as an actual road trip.

"Smile!" Luther encouraged once more.

While Y/N stoically put up a peace sign, Diego and Ben stuck each other on a side hug with a smolder and a full smile as if they were the best of friends. Lila didn't mind taking a picture, so long as she did her best to cover her eyes to prevent them from glowing. Everyone else just waited for Luther to take the picture.

As soon as he took it, Ben's smile immediately faltered as he shrugged off Diego's arm. "You know what? Screw this." He snarked, "One or two of you are fine. But all of you together? You're just a bunch of drooling, stunted toddlers. I'm going back to my penthouse downtown." He finished.

He began storming off without an ounce of will to participate anymore. Even when Luther tried to stop him, "Uh, Ben? That penthouse belongs to the federal government now." He reminded.

"Shut the hell up, Luther." Ben merely spat back.

No one bothered to stop the sour man as he continued to trudge away alone. They merely watched him distance himself from the group when his tentacle suddenly slid out from his jacket.

As serious as he was trying to be, the rest of them couldn't take him so. Not when his tail was dangling from his behind. Y/N tried her hardest to keep her grin down by pursing her lips, although their snickers and laughs were difficult to hide. "Poor Ben-erino." Klaus awed out of pity.

On the other hand, Diego, being too preoccupied with gearing up by the back of his van, couldn't care less. "We're better off without him!" He yelled from a distance.

"He's right." Viktor nodded.

It's easier for you to say, he isn't your responsibility. Luther argued internally. Nonetheless, Jennifer remained to be the top priority. Hence, giving a quick rundown of their plan for this rescue mission. "All right, everyone." He huffed, "Let's split up and look for this girl. Let's be discreet." He continued.
