Y/N FEROCIOUSLY TAPPED her foot as she waited for the traffic light to turn red for the vehicles to halt. It was the last pedestrian lane she had to cross for the day after having to go on a brisk, long walk from Sy's Dry Cleaning to get to the café.

Y/N's frown grew and grew by the time she became aware of how her calves were aching. It made her shift on her legs while she waited with a growing impatience. Furthermore, she was beginning to feel her stomach rumble.

With her fingers fidgeting on the pendant of her necklace, she didn't like the fact that the sun was halfway to the horizon. The last time Y/N checked her watch, it was just two hours past noon. Now that she checked it again, she realized she wasted another couple of hours by walking. She could've taken a bus, but her wallet happened to be in her bag, which was strapped on her motorcycle that was parked by the café.

The thought made her huff before the crossing light turned green. With long strides, she crossed the road without a second thought. She kept her eyes narrowed forward that it enhanced her agility from bumping into anyone that was crossing from the opposite side.

Her presence of mind was automatically shut down as she was already mentally preparing herself for an earful from both the manager and Peril. Until she felt a hard clash on her shoulder that made her look back at the person in the middle of the lane.

When the one who bumped into her was nowhere to be found, she turned to look forward again. Consequently bumping into another pedestrian with their faces at close proximity, their noses could touch.

And it had to be the last person she expected to see again.

She knew who those green eyes belonged to all too well.

There's Number Five, standing right in front of her. Y/N's heart was quick to react that she didn't even notice she stopped breathing.

In the vast of six years, Y/N never expected to see him again and she didn't -- until now. And seeing as it has been that long, she wasn't sure if anything or nothing about him had changed.

But one thing's for sure -- the way he looked at her now was a reminder that she was a complete stranger to his eyes. Every memory they'd shared since they were kids were sent into an oblivion. He doesn't know her. Therefore, the love they shared was no longer requited. As far as he knew, she doesn't exist in his world.

And so, she backed off the moment they bumped into each other. "Sorry." She muttered under a single breath, unaware that she was still holding the necklace around her neck.

Before the boy could stop her, Y/N proceeded to cross the road without looking back. She blinked vigorously, trying to convince herself that she was only being delusional. That he was a mere pedestrian walking on the crossing lane that happened to have a number of features that resembled Five.

There's just no way, Y/N thought, refusing to be deceived by her own eyes. It's all because of an empty stomach, right?

Once she'd finished her thought, Y/N arrived at the café. Luckily, she wasn't hungry enough to forget to quickly clear up the clutter she left from her motorcycle before she entered through the back door.

"I'm late, I know. I'm sorry." Y/N sighed out whilst she clocked in her time card. "I promise, I'll take over the night shift." Afterwards, she took her apron and tied it around her waist before she got to work, checking the remaining orders to get started on their drinks and pastries. Even though she knew wasn't gonna get off that easily.

"They certainly hired you for your skills and not how you manage your time, Y/N." Peril bluntly stated, standing next to the busy and quick Y/N with narrowed eyes.
