November 15, 1963

Y/N PARKED THE scooter in front of a diner around South Dallas for brunch and stopped the engine with her telekinesis as she didn't have the keys to the vehicle. She took off her helmet and brushed away her annoyingly semi-long hair off her face. She somehow lost her hair tie during her escape last night.

Soon, a waitress with a pretty mocha complexion approached her with a notepad in her hand, "Mornin'! What can I get for ya', sweetheart?"

The girl looked at the menu and simply chose a meal, "Can I get a ham sandwich with a salad on the side?"

The waitress nodded as she wrote in her order on the notepad, "You want dressing for the salad?"

"Yes, please."

"Any drinks you have in mind?"

"Uhm, black coffee would be great, thanks."

The waitress paused herself from writing and got confused as to why a girl her age would want the bittersweet beverage. But she wrote it in anyway since that was what the costumer wanted. "All right, I'll be back with your order."

When the waitress left, Y/N fiddled with her fingers as she waited. People were looking at her strangely for her 13-year-old appearance. She was beginning to get annoyed from hearing their thoughts saying the same thing over and over again. All she could do now was let a plastic straw float from her hand.

Soon, the waitress came back with a tray of her order. Y/N grabbed the straw as soon as the waitress was in sight. "Okay," the waitress breathed out, "Ham sandwich with salad on the side," she announced the girl's order as she laid it down on her table, "and black coffee. Is that all?"

"Yes, thank you very much."

"That'll be $6.50." The waitress announced. Y/N nodded in understanding as she counted the money to pay for her food.

The girl handed it to her which she gladly took, "Enjoy your meal!" With that, the waitress went back to the counter and put the money in the cash register.

Y/N devoured her sandwich as she had been desiring food that tasted nothing like she had back in the detention centre. To let the food run down to her throat easily, she took a sip of her coffee. The warmth that it had gave her comfort as if she was home again.

All of a sudden, Five came into her mind. She wondered where could he be. She wondered if he was looking for her, or if he even missed her as much as she'd missed him.

The H/C haired girl shook her head, snapping herself out of it. If I keep on thinking about him, I won't be able to finish this salad. She thought to herself. She wasn't going to lie, she didn't want to waste both the food and the money she paid for it.

She was ready to eat her salad. But when her hair that she tucked behind her ear got loose and it got to her mouth, it just drew the line for her.

That's it. She thought, I'm going to a salon.

After a while, Hazel and Five appeared in a new timeline. Five took a quick look around and darted his eyes back at the aged man. "Okay.." He let out a breath, "what the hell was that?"

"The end of the world, November 25, 1963." Hazel answered glumly.

"'63..." Five was confused. He didn't recall a war during this timeline. How was it possible?

Five chuckled softly as he faced Hazel again, "You know, Hazel, I'm no history buff, but I don't recall there being a nuclear holocaust."

"No shit." Hazel replied.
