Y/N started chuckling beneath her breath, catching Viktor's attention. "I don't mean to underestimate you, but that's easier said than done." She piped up. "Do you see this?" She pointed at her bruised face, manically shaking of suppressed annoyance, "This is how stubborn they are; at least their supposed leader is." She retorted. "Turning him in was our only chance."
"Do you really believe that?" Viktor argued, "They always change their minds the moment we do our part of the deal. That's just not fair." He recalled as he shook his head in disagreement of this particular plan. "I'm not gonna let them kill Harlan." If it meant that he wasn't gonna be a part of the team, then so be it. He found his honor to protect Sissy's son from harm more important than saving all mankind.
There was no changing his mind after going against Y/N's reasoning, and all of them aware of it now. "Well, congratulations, Viktor." Luther was also tired of convincing him, "You managed to destroy everything." He deadpanned. "Again."
As Luther stormed off the bar, Number Five felt his knees go weak by the fact that they'd just lost the least hardest way of getting to the Kugelblitz. He grimaced at Viktor as he gripped the nearest stool tightly out of stress. He expected so much from him. And for what? To turn away from them. "I really thought you were smarter than that." He croaked.
Viktor only looked at them with no regrets of what he'd done. Without another word, he just walked away and left them alone.
Klaus waved off the whole drama after he took his shoes off. He didn't see the point in being upset by this anymore. "Well!" He scoffed as he got off the counter in which he was sitting on to clap his shoes together, "That went great!"
"You could say that again." Y/N exhaled. Exhausted of the repetitive discussion, she gave out shot glasses with her telekinesis and poured the two of them a shot of gin (or vodka, not really sure lol) while they sat back down in front of the bar.
Klaus grinned seeing the clear liquid flowing down his own shot glass. "There." He drawled.
"Thanks." Five said after she filled them up to the top before grabbing a bigger glass to pour what she made for herself.
Klaus was taking it straight down to his throat when he suddenly heard the boy open up. "I saw my future self die." He said, which Klaus took it as something fascinating.
"That's crazy." Not to mention, relatable. "Almost the exact same thing happened to me. But I didn't die, but I did, but..."
"He told me not to save the world."
"I don't know."
"And then he died."
Y/N listened to their rants overlapping each other as she drank her cocktail. She mostly caught on with Five's quandary of what his version meant by not saving the world. She was in disbelief, hearing the Number Five saying they have to stop trying so hard. "Did he say anything else before that?" She asked, intrigued.
The boy shrugged, "His answers were in puzzles." He replied before he circled back to his unanswered wonders. "What do you think he meant by that?"
Klaus was just as confused. "Well, shouldn't you know?" He remarked, "Shouldn't you know about your--" eventually, he just stopped trying to level with the time traveller. "Okay."
And so, they raised their glasses to toast instead. "Salud."
"Up your ass."
It was a strange way to toast a shot, Five thought. But he just chose to ignore it as his brother downed his alcoholic beverage. With that being said, he continued to get his problems out of his system. "Klaus, I've dedicated my entire life to stopping the apocalypse with Y/N." He started, "Apocalypses, plural. And he tells me... That it's... it's what? It's meaningless?"
