"Alright girly, fend for yourself." I thought while grabbing my phone from the top of Clay's dresser.
Soon, I headed downstairs and once I went down there, all the lights shut off, making me gasp.
"Well shit—" I thought while looking around, "Okay...no need to panic...just need to find the door to leave..."
I took a deep breath, then tried feeling around for the wall in the dark.
"Okay...don't step on Patches."
Shortly, I felt the wall to the right of me. So, I kept my hand on it and walked until I felt the front door. Once I did, I jerked my hand down and swung open the front door, then ran out of it to get to George's house next door.
When I made it to his front door, I rang the doorbell and knocked a thousand times while looking around at my surroundings. I noticed the lights in George's house were on, which meant there wasn't a power outage.
My immediate thought was that someone turned off the power from the inside of Clay's house. That thought made me knock louder and faster on George's door, as my breathing picked up a little.
"C'mon you British fuck—open the door—" I thought while getting even more anxiety.
Thankfully, right after my thought, George swung open the door.
GEORGE:
"Oh hey—"Before he could speak anymore, I pushed him inside then shut and locked his door behind us. Then, I hugged him tightly.
GEORGE:
"Woah—you good?"Y/N:
"No I—I kept hearing noises and then the lights went off in Clay's house, and you weren't answering the door—" I rambled nervously.GEORGE:
"Oh sorry—I was doing homework and my parents aren't home."Y/N:
"So we're both home alone??"GEORGE:
"Well yeah, not entirely alone though, since we have each other." He chuckled.Y/N:
"George, your lights didn't go out, but Clay's did. I have a bad feeling..."As if we were in a movie, George's lights went out, making me gasp and hug him tightly again.
GEORGE:
"What the hell?" He looked around while squishing his brows together. Before I could waste any more time, I got out my phone from my pocket while still holding on to George. I dialed Clay's number and held the phone up to my ear.
GEORGE:
"I'm gonna try turning the lights on, this is weird." He tried walking away, but I held on to him tighter.Y/N:
"No don't leave me—" I raised my voice, "Why the fuck isn't he answering??"GEORGE:
"Who?"I ignored his question and hung up on Clay. Instead, I called Nick, hoping he'd pick up.
Fortunately, he did.
NICK:
"Hello?"Y/N:
"Nick—something weird is going on at Clay and George's houses. Could you guys come back??"NICK:
"What? What weird things are happening?"Y/N:
"Both of the lights went out, and I kept hearing thuds—" I explained.I was about to hold on to George tighter when I realized he left my grasp. He was nowhere in sight, resulting in slight tears forming in my eyes out of fear.
Y/N:
"George...? George??" I turned around as my breathing picked up.NICK:
"What's going on?"Y/N:
"George!!" I yelled.
