"If you find her or the, uh, dry cleaner guy, don't do anything on your own." He advised, "Let's wait for the team."

But all their attention diverted to Diego, who was waddling from the tightness of his old gear. "Oh, sweet Jesus." Allison exclaimed.

Diego insisted that it still fitted him. "Like a glove." He said.

"Is the glove the size of a child's hand?" Y/N commented.

"Or is it like OJ's glove?" Klaus followed.

Ignoring the mocking comments, Diego tossed his keys to Klaus. "Here." He said, "You're in charge of Wanda. Don't go anywhere without us." He directed, still endeavoring to break in his old vendetta gear whilst the rest followed him on the way to the town.

"You do realize you're waddling, yeah?" Allison point out mockingly, sparking up another playful quarrel along the Hargreeves family.

Y/N fell behind and asked Klaus if he would be fine being the lone look-out. "I can stick around if you like." She suggested.

Though as much as Klaus would love his apparent-best friend's company; to continue discussing what scraps of memory did he have about her in his sleep, he can't help but notice his brother, Number Five, waiting for her from afar in the corner of his eye. And before he could fully catch the boy, Five turned away and pretended to go ahead with steps that were smaller than his usual long strides.

Klaus knew his brother wouldn't actually be willing to wait for anybody else if it would just slow him down from their motives. This is so unlike him, he thought. Though it would be a lie if he said he wasn't at all amused, especially when he's had memory dreams of the two of them together.

"No, you guys go ahead," he waved off with a drawl, "I got everything I need to keep myself entertained while you're all gone." He said.

Y/N no longer pressed on despite her uncertainty. "Okay then, see you later." She nodded.

"All right. Good luck. Don't get killed." Klaus cheered on from afar.

She turned back to a different direction and left for New Grumpson, walking past the boy without a word, regardless of knowing that he was waiting for her no matter how well he hid his intentions.

The town of New Grumpson was filled with the Christmas spirit. Kids were playing and riding the merry-go-rounds at the Holiday Festival. The choir was busy carolling around the Christmas tree. And they were selling eggnog and freshly mulled wine; it was as if all the problems in the world were simply replaced by fun in a poof.

And Ben was deeply allergic to that.

While the others were busy simultaneously looking for Jennifer and indulging themselves on winning deer plushies or admiring the paraphernalia sold in Dottie's Antiques, Ben begrudgingly walked around town looking for a bus stop, eager to get away from the Umbrella Academy and bail on this rescue mission. He regretted going with his so-called siblings to this trip. He'd rather let the cops catch him and get him back in his old prison cell.

Eventually, he found the bus stop sign he was looking for. It was hanging right by the local diner.

He sighed in relief, feeling the warmth of the diner's radiator as he walked in. Not only has he been cold by his feverish state along with the season's weather, but he was feeling peckish.

He sat by the counter after he took of his coat. Immediately, a headache was starting to kick in as he could still hear the carollers sing and Christmas songs play constantly. Ben tried to sooth this by rubbing his fingers around his forehead. But being the only person who seem to distinguish himself through his attitude, the man next to him can't help but notice the sulking of this younger man.
