His eyes landed on the pictures of veterans framed against the wall along with the badges. One picture stood out the most for his eyes to see. In that photo, it showed the love of his life.
He smiled sadly as he caressed the photograph, "Hey, Dave." He croaked out. He cried softly as memories from his veteran experience came flooding back. It was traumatic experience he had to encounter when he lost his love that he could even here a bomb drop.
While he was sulking over a badge, a man watched him. He thought he wasn't a part of their group. You see, the pub was for veterans only. And for Klaus' youthful look, they thought he wasn't one.
Klaus got interrupted by a hand on his shoulder. He looked behind him only to see Diego and Y/N with a concern look on their faces. "Just go away, please." Klaus sighed.
"Not until you talk to us." Diego insisted.
"Is that a threat? Are you threatening me?" Klaus asked sarcastically as he wiped out his tears.
"No, Klaus, he's not threatening you. We're just worried about you." Y/N consoled.
"Hey guys."
Their conversation was interrupted by the man who was watching Klaus a while ago. Y/N and Diego turned to him, "This bar? It's for vets only."
The man informed."I am a vet." Diego looked back at Klaus slowly in confusion. While Y/N wasn't surprised.
"Really?" The former vet chuckled at him as if he was joking, "Where'd you serve?" He questioned.
"None of your business." Klaus sneered.
"You got balls comin' in here, pretendin' you're one of us." The man commented.
"Oh, I have every right to be here, just like you." Number Four snarled as he turned to face him, "Asshole."
The man became furious and stepped in. The girl prepared herself to defend the both of them. But Diego stopped him, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey. Slow down, Marine." He said, "Alright? My brother's just had a few too many. Let's just call it a day, all go on our own way."
"Sure thing." The man replied.
"Thank you, sir." Y/N chimed.
"As long as you apologize." He added. The girl tried to stop herself from rolling her eyes. We're about to leave, ain't that enough? She questioned internally as she turned to look at the picture Klaus was looking at.
Klaus giggled as if the former vet was joking. So Diego did it for him, "Fine, I'm sorry. He's sorry. My sister's sorry. We're all sorry." He continued, "So... are we good?"
The older man was nit satisfied, "I wanna hear him say it." He pointed at Klaus. Number Eight was getting impatient.
Diego was about to reply, "Hey man, I'm just trying to-"
"No, no. He's right, Diego." Until Klaus cut him off, "He's right. He's right. I'd like to apologize.. that you.." he started walking up to the old man, "are depriving of some village of their idiot!"
And that was when the guy threw a punch which Klaus dodged in no time and smashed his head on to his. The man's fellow vet joined in, but Diego was fast enough to defend his brother.
This is what Y/N was worried about.
Soon, another man was on to her. He threw punches while she swiftly dodged them. "Come on, little girl! Fight back!" He shouted with pride.
He was about to throw another punch, until the girl stopped him with her mind. He was scared when he couldn't move his fist. "Don't you ever, call me little girl." She growled as she broke his arm.
She had enough of it. So she made them stop throwing kicks and punches.
In the process, she grabbed both of her brothers' ears and dragged them out of the bar with her. They hissed in pain until she out them back in Diego's car. She walked away like nothing happened.
"Hey, where are you going?" Diego shouted from afar.
"Making sure I'm not wasting my time."

The girl had a long walk back to the Academy once again. It didn't actually bother her. It was just one of those moments where she wanted to be alone.
Y/N went straight for the stairs after she got herself in the house. She didn't really feel like doing anything at that point. But to her, it wasn't the right time for slacking off.
She exhaled quietly as she landed on the last step. She was starting to wonder how she managed to go from one place to another without getting tired. One minute she was with Klaus and Diego and now she was back in the Academy.
Number Eight passed by Five's room. Its walls were filled with equations of a probability map written by him with a chalk. Of course, he was also talking to Delores.
"No, nothing is wrong, Delores. What are you even talking about?" He retorted.
The girl looked over to what he was solving and analyzed it. There is, in fact, one mistake. With that, she knocked on his door. "You forgot to multiply that bit." She pointed out the equation above Five. He looked up to the direction she was pointing at and noticed the mistake.
The boy hummed as he erased and corrected it. "Thanks."
Number Eight nodded, "No problem." She replied as she simply walked out of his room.
Five noticed she was out of his room before he could even say a word to her. Turns out he needed a little help from her after all.. and maybe he wanted her to be around as well..
"Hey, Y/N." He called out.
"Yeah?" Her head peered out by the doorframe.
"Grab a chalk."
