"I'm going to do the unthinkable." The boy answered harshly. His brother got even more confused, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Five let out a sigh, "I was really hoping it wouldn't come to this." He grumbled under his breath, entering the room. As he did so, he took a short glance at Y/N, who was nonchalantly playing solitaire on the small dining table placed in the kitchen before walking into another room to be alone with his thoughts.
"Come to what, Five?" Y/N heard Luther ask. All he got was the closing of the door as a reply from the boy. "Five." Luther called out as he closed the door. When he got in front of the room Five trapped himself in, he twisted the knob only to find out it was locked. "Five!" He called out again with a knock, "Come to what? Five!"
Y/N placed down the remaining deck of cards in her hand to drink a glass of water that was beside her. Once she finished, she heard Luther's thoughts of kicking the door open. "Luther, I think it's best to leave him be for a while instead of busting that door open." She suggested as she went back to her game, "You never know what might happen if you do that."
Luther would be fibbing if he thought she wasn't right. "Fine." He exhaled and walked towards the messy living room to lay himself down until he falls asleep.
As the girl was about to reshuffle the cards for another round. She heard Five's voice contacting her up in her head. “Y/N, can you come in here, please?”
She contemplated whether or not to go to Five. Y/N was simply getting addicted to the particular card game she was playing. She couldn't stop. She didn't want to stop. Besides, he said he was better off on his own, didn't he?
So she continued shuffling the deck in her hand. “Depends. Are you done with your temper tantrum?” She asked out of sarcasm while she was placing seven columns. A part of her slightly delivered it out of annoyance.
The girl let out a sigh when she didn't hear anything from Five any longer. It's almost as if her conscience was pushing her to just do it.
Grumbling, she stood up from her seat, leaving the deck of cards untouched on the table as she walked up to the room Number Five was in. She lightly knocked on the door twice with the flexor bone of her index finger.
She went face to face with Five as soon as he opened the door. The unamused frown remained on her face unlike Five, who had a tedious expression on his. "I distinctly recall you saying you're better off on your own." She stated, putting her hands in the pockets of her jeans.
"I didn't mean that." Five said. He would've apologized, but knowing he would do it again, it would seem pointless if he did.
Y/N replied with a hum. She wished the conversation ended there. She wasn't in the mood to interact with anybody. Even if it was Five. She didn't know why. She just wanted to be alone for a while.
Though it was Five she was talking to. Knowing him, he wasn't one for small talk. When she entered the room Five was in, she leaned back on a wall. "So what now?" She asked softly, rubbing her right (or left) eye.
"I have another way." Five admitted, tugging on his hair in the back.
Y/N was skeptical, "What do you mean?" She questioned as she propped herself up. She was curious about it until she remembered his backstory during his occupation in the Commission. "You're gonna look for yourself, aren't you?" She concluded.
The boy thought she was against it, "I'm afraid that's the only plan I ha--"
"Did I say I wasn't okay with it?" She chuckled, "Just tell me the consequence of it." She preceded.
