For a moment there, he forgot she could read his mind as she knew there was a side effect to his plan. But he went on, "Paradox psychosis."
The girl looked at the floor and pondered over it. Since Y/N already knew what it meant because she studied such things back then out of boredom, it wasn't much of a surprise to her. "Doesn't that get severe the longer you are with your temporal assassin self?" She was worried about the things that could happen to Five when he gets it. He could already make a morning slaughter at his current state, what happens if he gets to the final stage?
"That's why I need you and Luther to come with me." Five explained as he got closer to her, "When the psychosis gets worse, I need the both of you to snap me out of it."
The way how he explained it made Y/N feel weirded out. He was somewhat tense and eager. "What time does he arrive?" She asked.
Number Five looked at his watched before answering, "He arrives in 5 minutes."
Y/N seemed reluctant about the plan, although a part of her wanted to actually see what he looked like in his older physique. "All right." She breathed out, "Let's get you ready, yeah?"
When she was about to walk out of the room, she felt a slight tug on her wrist. When she turned to Five, it confused her as to why his manic looking face turned into a concerned one. "You're not mad at me, are you?" He asked out of the blue.
"What made you think I'm mad?" She chuckled as she furrowed her eyebrows, walking closer to him. Number Five shrugged, "You had that frown on you the whole time I was talking and--"
"Five." Y/N interrupted as she cover his mouth with her hand to shut him up. "I'm not mad, I'm just tired. Literally." She explained before she retracted her hand and held his, "I'll just give myself something with caffeine and I'll be all good. Now, let's go meet that asshole."
With that, she kissed him on the cheek and dragged him out of the room with her.
"But I am that asshole." Number Five remarked, not sure if he should take it seriously and be offended or not.
"I know." Y/N assured, turning to him. "But you're more attractive." She added with a wink before she urged him towards the kitchen.

Diego sat in front of the Handler's desk. Beside him was Lila who recruited him to be a part of the Commission without knowing about it. It looked like the Handler would decline Lila's preference. "Are you kidding me?" She rebuked.
Lila looked at her mother as if she outsmarted the Handler. "You said I could I hire my own team." She shot back.
"Yes, but I didn't mean him, for God's sake." The Handler told her with spite as she gave a deadpan glance at the man in front of her, "If you don't see the problem with hiring you-know-who's brother, then you're not ready for that badge." She insisted.
As they both argue about whether he gets to stay or not, Diego remembered about their way home. So he spoke up a polite as he could get, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I really need to get going."
"Shut up!" Only to get yelled by the two women.
Lila was persistent about her desire. She wasn't standing down, "I can't do this job if you don't trust my instincts." She said.
Handler leaned back to her seat as she placed her cigarette holder on the ashtray beside her. The disapproving look on her face remained still while she looked down on her daughter's choice. "Sweetheart," she started, "your vagina needs glasses. He is not worth it."
"Mum! Oh, my God." Lila acted as if she was an embarrassed teenager, "This may shock you, but not everyone here likes you." She remarked.
The Handler looked at her blankly, "Sounds ridiculous, but go on."
