-Y/N's POV-
Clay, Nick and I all exchanged nervous glances at each other as Wilbur came over with a grin.
WILBUR:
"Hey gorgeous."
NIKI:
"Hi." She giggled, "These are my friends. Y/N, Clay, Nick and Darryl."
Wilbur scanned his eyes over us with a smirk.
DARRYL:
"Weren't you the one who told everyone Y/N's a virgin or was that another Wilbur?" He tilted his head innocently, making Niki's smile fade.
WILBUR:
"I don't believe I said that. Must've been someone else." He raised his eyebrows while Clay sighed, shaking his head at his food.
Wilbur took a seat in the middle of Niki and I which made me clench my jaw as I played with my corn with my spoon.
NIKI:
"I had no idea things were going around about you, Y/N. I'm sorry." She frowned, "If it makes you feel better, I'm a virgin too."
Wilbur snorted as he drank his water. Nick rolled his tongue over the inside of his cheek while glaring at him.
NICK:
"Snorting drugs over there? Or bullshit—"
Clay nudged Nick in his rib while I sighed with a frown.
WILBUR:
"Nope. Not everyone's like your father, Nick."
My expression dropped as Nick clenched his jaw tightly. He was about to do something when he looked at me. He sighed while shaking his head then pushed his tray forward, got up and stormed out of the cafeteria.
NIKI:
"Wilbur, why'd you say that?" She frowned while squishing her eyebrows together.
WILBUR:
"It was a joke, darling. It's not my fault he can't take it." He shrugged.
I sighed angrily while glaring at Wilbur then got up and chased after Nick. When I left the cafeteria, I shot my head to the left and right. That's when I saw him through the window outside, leaning against the brick wall while staring at his shoes.
I frowned then walked to him. I pushed open the door lightly, his eyes immediately shot up to meet mine, making him direct his gaze back to his shoes. I let the door shut behind me.
Y/N:
"Don't let what he said get to you."
NICK:
"How can I not...he's right after all..." he said lowly as he took a seat on the concrete.
I took a seat next to him as I sat cross cross.
Y/N:
"It doesn't mean anything...Wilbur's just an arrogant jerk who only cares about himself."
NICK:
"It's still true..." he said quietly while looking at his shoes, "I didn't tell you guys but...the other night...he got really drunk and...he cried in my arms..."
My frown deepened as I immediately held his hand. He squeezed it lightly while swallowing hard.
NICK:
"He misses her..." he nodded, "I do too..."
I sighed.
Y/N:
"You should call her..."
NICK:
"No, I can't do that..." he shook his head, "She's got this whole other family to deal with...she's happy with them...I doubt she'd wanna talk to the accident..."
Slight tears formed in his eyes as he looked away from me. I leaned my head on his shoulder while wrapping my arm around his.
Y/N:
"I'm glad you were an accident...because if you never happened, then I wouldn't be happy." I sadly smiled.
NICK:
"C'mon, you'd still have Clay and George."
Y/N:
"I don't think so. After all, you were the one who saw me first right? Besides even if they did, it wouldn't be the same without you. Plus, I love having 3 idiotic best friends. The more the merrier."
He huffed out a smile while leaning his head on mine.
Y/N:
"I'm sorry about your family situation..."
Nick nodded slowly with a frown.
Y/N:
"I think you should call her...who knows? She could miss you too."
NICK:
"Or she could block me and..." he swallowed hard, "Then I'd really have no family left..."
Y/N:
"You have your dad—"
NICK:
"Not really..." he whispered, "You know him, he's always drinking and...the whole drugs thing...he's there but...he's not really, there...one of the many reasons why I love going over to your house..."
Y/N:
"Well...you're welcome there anytime." I tilted my head up to meet our eyes.
He smiled at me.
Y/N:
"Besides, we're your family. Me, Clay, George..."
Nick nodded as his smile widened a little.
NICK:
"Thanks, Y/N."
Y/N:
"Of course...here I am, going all soft again for you. It's nauseating." I joked which made him laugh.
NICK:
"Oh, but I love softie Y/N." He whined.
I scoffed then stood up, reaching my hand out to him.
Y/N:
"Whatever." I smiled.
He grabbed my hand then we looked at each other for a moment before removing our hands.
Y/N:
"Last year of high school, then we're done with these idiots for good."
Nick nodded with a light smile.
NICK:
"I know I can get through it, as long as I'm with you."
I grinned while raising my eyebrows.
Y/N:
"Soft Nick, wait—no that sounds wrong—" my eyes widened as my smile dropped which made him burst out laughing.
The rest of the day went by in a flash. Of course, everyone still stared at me like I was the most fascinating thing in the world but I shook it off.
I made it to my locker to return my English book. Once I shut it, I was met with Wilbur leaning one arm above his head against the lockers. I gasped in response.
WILBUR:
"Hello darling." He smiled, "How's your day been?"
I clenched my jaw at him as I kept silent.
WILBUR:
"Did you wanna come over tonight, darling? We could change the rumors and create a new one." He smirked.
Y/N:
"You're a senior in high school. You're 18 years old, a legal adult, do you really think I'd want a man-child to be my first?" I raised my eyebrow.
Wilbur chuckled.
WILBUR:
"You tell me." He snaked an arm around my waist which made my eyes widen.
Y/N:
"Please don't do that..." I said quietly while trying to get his arm off which made his grip tighten.
WILBUR:
"It's not my fault you look hot everyday, Y/N." he smiled, "I can't control how I feel."
I swallowed hard as my chest started to feel tingly.
MR. JAY:
"Mr. Soot."
Wilbur turned his head over his shoulder while Mr. Jay glared at him while crossing his arms.
MR. JAY:
"Keep the PDA to yourself. We're in a school, not a strip club."
Wilbur rolled his eyes then let go of my waist.
WILBUR:
"See you tomorrow, darling." His grin returned as walked out of the school.
I sighed nervously as he walked away. Mr. Jay came up to me.
MR. JAY:
"Is he your boyfriend?"
Y/N:
"God no." I cringed, "Just a nuisance."
He chuckled lightly.
Y/N:
"Thank you for the save."
MR. JAY:
"No worries, like I said, I notice everything." He smiled.
My eyes trailed over his shoulder to see Clay and Nick walking towards the exit. They began looking around, when they saw they smiled and waved.
Y/N:
"Thanks again." I smiled then jogged to Clay and Nick.
NICK:
"Everything okay?"
Y/N:
"Yeah." I nodded, "Could we go to your house Clay?"
CLAY:
"Yeah. We need to tell George what all has happened today." He raised his eyebrows.
After the 3 of us agreed, Clay drove us to his house. Once he parked his car in the driveway, I dashed out the door to George's house next door. I rung the doorbell, slightly jumping in excitement to see him.
A few moments later, George opened the door. His eyes lit up when he saw me as he smiled.
Y/N:
"Gogy!" I yelled while wrapping my arms around his neck, hugging him.
George instantly giggled and hugged me back.
Y/N:
"I missed you today." I split apart from him after a few moments.
CLAY:
"You missed a lot." Him and Nick walked up behind me.
Y/N:
"Yeah..." my smile slightly faded.
GEORGE:
"I—I would love to have you guys over but..." he sighed, "My parents are kind of upset with you for letting me drink on the first day back at school..."
He frowned.
CLAY:
"So what? You can't see us for 2 days too?"
G DAD:
"That's right." He walked up to us, making George sigh nervously while looking down.
NICK:
"Sir, with all due respect, we really need to speak with George."
G DAD:
"He needs to focus on his studies." He crossed his arms, "If he's gonna get into Harvard, he needs to focus instead of getting drunk like a vigilante."
Clay and Nick sighed while glancing at each other. Slight tears formed in my eyes as I swallowed hard.
Y/N:
"The whole school made fun of me today for being a virgin." I blurted out, making George and his father's eyes widen, "I just need 5 minutes with him please...I need him to tell me everything will be okay..."
George frowned while squishing his eyebrows together in sadness at me. His father sighed.
G DAD:
"I'm sorry that happened to you, Y/N...5 minutes. But only you two." He darted his eyes between us.
Clay and Nick nodded then ran off next door to Clay's house. His father shut the door, leaving us alone on the stairs. We sat down next to each other as he sighed.
GEORGE:
"I'm sorry I wasn't there..." he said quietly.
Y/N:
"It's okay. I understand why your parents are acting like that...but hey, Harvard? That's exciting." I lightly smiled.
GEORGE:
"Not really." He mumbled, "They want me to be a doctor or lawyer, anything big like that. But really, I wanna be a coder and possibly a streamer."
Y/N:
"Like YouTube?"
He nodded.
Y/N:
"Have you told them that?"
George shook his head, "You know how strict they are..."
Y/N:
"Well, I think you should follow your heart." I held his hand, making his eyes widen, "Be who you are, not what your parents expect you to be. Especially because what they want is boring."
The two of us laughed as he slightly squeezed my hand, smiling down at it.
GEORGE:
"Thank you, Y/N. That means a lot."
Y/N:
"Anytime Gogy." I smiled.
GEORGE:
"So..." his smile faded, "Was it Wilbur and Zak?"
I nodded while sighing.
GEORGE:
"Did Clay and Nick beat them up?"
Y/N:
"No, I don't want any fist fights." I shrugged, "Besides, this is our last year of high school together so I wanna enjoy it, drama free. Plus, I doubt Wilbur and Zak are gonna be getting into any colleges. They've been cheating on everything since elementary school."
GEORGE:
"Including girlfriends."
The two of us bursted out laughing then shortly, George's father swung open the door.
G DAD:
"Back to studying, George."
He nodded as his smile faltered. His father closed the door, leaving us alone again.
GEORGE:
"I'm sorry I can't come back tomorrow." He frowned.
Y/N:
"It's okay. I just missed my Gogy hugs." I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned my head against his.
George giggled as he patted my arms.
GEORGE:
"You're the only one I did miss today."
Y/N:
"In 2 days, you're mine." I joked.
His eyes widened as he laughed.
GEORGE:
"O—okay."
I grinned as I waved to him, then I ran to Clay's house next door.
-GEORGE's POV-
Thankfully, I don't think she noticed my blush. After taking a deep breath, I saw her enter Clay's house, making me stand up to walk back into mine.
When I entered, my father looked at me.
G DAD:
"Everything sort itself out?"
GEORGE:
"Yeah. I'll go hit the books now." I nodded.
He smiled in pride, walking away to the kitchen. Once I made my way upstairs, my eyes widened as I realized I forgot something. I quickly went to my room and grabbed my phone off of my desk to text Y/N.
I saw her, Clay and Nick laughing together through my bedroom window, leading directly across from Clay's bedroom window.
GEORGE:
Everything will be okay
I sent the text, biting my lip while staring at her nervously. Once she felt her phone vibrate, she grabbed it from her pocket to see the text from me. Y/N immediately smiled widely with a blush as she replied back to me.
Wait...a blush?!
My eyes widened as I blinked several times to see if my color blindness was fooling me. No, it wasn't.
Y/N was blushing. And I was the one who made her blush.
Shortly, the notification popped up on my phone.
Y/N:
Thank u Gogy :)
I couldn't help but blush with a giggle. Then, my eyes trailed to my computer on my desk. That's when an idea hit.
I quickly took a seat in my black computer chair and began typing away, using my coding skills for good.
After making my way to the school website, I hacked my way into the data frame.
I scrolled down until I found Wilbur's name. I imputed my codes then moved onto Zak's name. Once I was done coding, I submitted it with a smirk.
Y/N didn't want any physical fights...she never said anything about mental fights.
Those two idiots were always meant to work at gas stations for the rest of their lives, now I've made sure they will.
