As planned last year, I remade my own way of picturing Y/N! I did try to put as many versions as I can. Let this be an encouragement for the ones who want to send me these drawings to draw the way how you picture Y/N in this ff!💗

Enjoy reading!

«(✿)—»

THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY stumbled upon a park after successfully leaving the manor alive. Although Y/N felt bad that she chose not help, she was still relieved she wasn't experiencing any injuries right now, apart from the headbutt she gave Jayme.

When they spotted benches and bench tables by the pond, they all slumped on them in an instant.  "I'm just gonna sit... I'm just gonna sit here for a minute." Said Luther. But boy, was it a pain for them to do so.

Diego chose to stand by the pond while looking from afar. "That didn't go well." He remarked.

"No, not our best work." Number Five sighed out. Not only was he referring to their fight woth the Sparrow Academy, he was also referring to what Jayme had done to him that got him and Y/N to where they are now: the boy who screwed the pooch and the girl that he led to brood.

Y/N distanced herself from Five, sitting by the very end of the second bench table, which is where Klaus was lying down on. She was well aware that Five will want to talk about that... thing. But talking about it right now, where she still feels these irrational emotions and her mindset about it hasn't fully formed into something that's collected and levelled, it won't be a pretty painting.

Her train of thought made her forehead throb in pain. And so, Y/N closed her eyes for a moment and took in a deep breath, rubbing her face in exhaustion.

Klaus' back cracking in the background dug in to the relief Y/N was feeling just from hearing it. "Oh, I'm cracking." He strained, still lying on the table.

Allison couldn't help but notice Luther helplessly zoning out. "You all right?" She wondered.

"I don't know yet." He found it unbelievable when they got half-cocked by this shiny new team that their former father have created. "I've just never had my ass handed to me like that before. It's like..." He rambled on. Only this time he held his hands up as if he was trying give Allison something, ".. here you go. It's your ass."

The Rumor looked at him strangely. Unable to get to the same level of comprehension as he is. "Okay, I think Luther's concussed." He sounded stupid, but at least Y/N found it amusing.

Klaus himself held up his fingers in front of the bigger man. "Luther, how many fingers?"

It was then Y/N noticed there were only six of them in the park. Her eyes widened when she realized that Vanya wasn't there with them. "Guys, where's Vanya?" She asked with pure worry.

As if an cue, the brunette walked in. "Oh, thank God, you're alive." She exhaled. When she showed up, Vanya was dragging her feet because her body in an excruciating pain.

"You okay?"

"Apparently, so is Ben." The Séance commented, now sitting beside Y/N. Ben's sudden appearance was confounding for all of them. Not to mention, things took a sharper turn when he'd changed immensely.

Allison said what had to be said, "Yeah. And he's a complete dickhead."

"They're all dickheads." Diego followed.

Luther had to agree with Diego on this one. "Yeah, dickheads who can fight." It's been becoming more frequent for them to be on the same page nowadays.

Hearing the same word three times was like hearing someone say Beetlejuice three times for Five. "Okay, the next person to say dickhead is getting a punch to the throat." He announced in annoyance. This only made them want to say it more.

"Dickhead."

"Dickhead."

"Dickhead."

"Dickhead."

All came from Luther, Allison, Klaus and Diego. But thinking about the term is a whole other thing for Y/N. “If I were to say dickhead, it wouldn't be for them, dickhead.” The girl sent the message to Five's mind.

Number Five didn't really know what to say to her. All he could do for now was look over to her, who was sitting there with an emotionless expression. She didn't even bother to turn to him. He really was screwed.

"Hey," going back to the rest of the problem, the Kraken called for Klaus and Y/N, who were with Sir Reginald while the others were fighting against the Sparrows, "did Dad tell you guys why he was calling them his kids?"

"He sure did." Klaus sputtered, "You ready? Dad was so repulsed by us back in Texas, that he adopted an entirely different group of children just so so he didn't have to raise us."

"Well, that's just peak Dad." Diego remarked, also taking a seat. Others also had a lot to say about Reginald's chosen motive in avoiding to adopt them.

"Isn't it?"

"So he just didn't want us anymore?"

"Did he ever?"

Space boy seemed so eager to tell them that he was right. "See? I told you we shouldn't have asked for his help in '63." It was almost as if his concussion just disappeared.

Though, compared to his siblings' thoughts about Reginald replacing them and naming these people the Sparrow Academy, Number Five focused beyond their family. Rather than having that as his main concern, he thought about the effects of it in terms of the whole universe. "I think you're all missing the big picture here." He began, "If Dad didn't adopt us as kids, he changed the timeline."

It was indeed a bigger problem in Y/N's opinion. With those 20 days she had spent time trying to save everybody from two apocalypses with Five, she had already been aware that even the slightest tweaks in the timeline can affect the world. Now that the timeline's been tampered again...

"So, who knows what else is different now?" Number Five finished.

"Shouldn't you know?" The way Allison ignorantly assumed the boy to know everything about time made Y/N turn away from the circle with a sigh. It's not that easy, the girl thought. From that moment on, she just figured out that there was no point in listening to the conversation. Not when people respond like that.

Five winced at her words in the subtlest way. "Sorry, Allison, but it might take me more than 20 minutes and a traumatic brain injury to figure this all out." He explained in a literal sense. All he ever wanted right now was to lie down and take a nap before he connects dots. "Is that okay with you?" He asked Allison, hoping that she wouldn't be too stubborn about it.

"No, actually," unfortunately, she was too stubborn about it. "It's not."

Y/N once again turned to them by a twist of her waist. A scowl was formed on her face as she hears the attitude in Allison's voice. Reading her thoughts, she found out that she was frustrated that she's yet to hold her daughter in her arms. "Look, I understand what's with you right now, but the guy's been restless for 3 weeks. Must he really think things through already?" She wasn't able to hold her tongue as she told her off. Even when Five did something to her, she still felt bad having him carry the rest of them on his back as he never had any time for himself.

"Guys," Before Allison could say something back to her, Vanya beat her to it, "look, it's fine. We still have the Commission's briefcase, so worst case, we can just go back in time to fix it." She proposed this solution as if it was something that can be done so easily.

Others, but Five and Y/N, agreed that it seemed easy enough. "Great!" Klaus exclaimed. But hearing the word briefcase made Number Five grimace.  "Okay." He began, "There are two problems with that statement: first off--"

"Here we go." Klaus immediately slumped back in the chair as the boy started to announce said problems.

"-- time travel is a complicated thing, people." Five knew he'd already told them about the difficulties of traveling through time, he just made sure everyone had gotten it as they groaned at the repetitive reminder.

Diego overlapped his statement as soon as he got the point of his first problem already. "Yeah, we get it. Your job is so hard." He drawled. "Just...what?"

Five sighed out before he can move on. "And secondly..." it was no lie that he feared the reaction of his sibling when he says, "I no longer have the briefcase."

"Five, where the hell is the briefcase?"

Meanwhile, back in the Academy, Grace hummed as she gripped on the briefcase handle and brought it down to the basement where most of the unnecessary things are. Once she set it down, she heard a continuous sound of spinning and sputtering. She thought it was nothing at first. That is, until it felt like she was being summoned to it.

What was it? No one really has an idea. But when the robot walked to the same direction as the sound, she saw a glowing ball of light.

Its energy pulsed and pulsed as she neared and watched it spin and develop. It appealed to her and made her smile. Grace could've sworn the balled up energy was talking to her. Though she's not sure she could comprehend.

What she was sure of, was it was something worth worshipping for.

****

The Umbrella Academy barely had something to do other than take a stroll in the park. Other people were looking at them, judging them as they kept walking at a slow pace with injuries and debris on their physique. Others only kept staring when Diego and Klaus fought over the hat Klaus got from Dallas.

The fact that they were going at it right next to Five might as well be a death wish. "Can you guys cut it out?"

Their slow-paced strides would've been better for Number Five if he intertwined his hand with Y/N's. The problem is, his unsolicited dreams had to appear right before his eyes, leading them to this situation. And he knew damn well she has a lot to say to him.

Allison, on the other had, grew impatient with it, seeing as walking wasn't going to change the fact that she wasn't feeling at peace and at home with her daughter. "Okay, you know what? I need to go find Claire. I'll catch up with you guys later."
With that being said, she was about to storm off.

"Wait, no, okay," but Vanya stopped her before she was a mile away from them. "First, let's go somewhere safe, clean up those cuts, and then we'll go find her." She compromised.

For some odd reason, Vanya sounded like a parent trying to get their kid to stay still for a while in Y/N's ears. Though, Vanya's first and second idea did sound good. I could use a nap. She said to herself.

In the midst of their conversation, Luther came across the Sparrows' billboards from afar. He analyzed two of them with our aversion. "Man, I hate those guys." He grumbled, still looking at their fierce-posed faces.

"Look at 'em with their... stupid smug..." It was evident that Luther was too soft of a guy to even think of an insult straight up. "You can do it. You can do it." Klaus even attempted to encourage the big guy to let it out. Though it only took him under pressure.

"S...s..smug..." Klaus looked at Y/N with a wince, knowing well enough that Luther's not gonna get to his point. "Smugness." As expected.

An underwhelming sigh was let out from the both of them. Y/N's growing sympathy for Luther had gotten her to walk to his side and pat his back. "Keep working on it, big guy." Klaus said. "You'll land one, eventually."

"Their ads literally just look like they're gonna kill you rather than bring you justice." Y/N commented, her hand falling back to her side.

"Just like that!" Klaus pointed out an example for Luther. She wasn't trying to show off, but she was flattered. "Thank, bae."

Allison tried to get back on the first topic. "But honestly, what are we doing?" She questioned, "'cause we can't just stand here bleeding out in the middle of this park."

"I don't know, but we better gear up fast before they come for round two." Diego answered. He wasn't going to take it if he was gonna lose against them for the second time.

Vanya out all her weight to her one leg, "What makes you think their gonna come after us?" She touted.

"Because I would."

Y/N's eyes squinted at that response. She found it hard to comprehend his answers sometimes. But knowing that he won't be listening about other's opinion once his heart is set on something, Y/N prevented herself from interfering whilst letting Klaus rest his arms on her shoulders and wrapping them into a friendly back hug.

As Klaus swayed the two of them from side to side like a penguin, he found Diego's point making more sense. "Yeah, we did break into their house..." He trailed off.

"Our house." Allison corrected.

".. busted up some of their nice antiques and shit." One of his hands flailed as he elaborated the point. Afterwards, he went to rest just his one arm around Y/N's shoulders.

Luther had also came to agree. "Yeah, I don't think those... super nerds are gonna let that go." To Y/N, the problem just sounded like a problem that she's too tired to fix. Not for now, at least. She really is just that deprived of sleep. So she just swayed with Klaus as she closed her eyes and let the wind come to her.

"Let's just think of some place off the radar where we can lie low and not draw attention." Five suggested after seeing Y/N breathing in and out slowly. He knows she was getting exhausted at this point. Not only that, but watching her this way also made him feel tired.

Diego found it difficult to believe that there would be such a thing. "What kind of a weird-ass place are we not gonna draw attention?" He questioned.

Y/N's sudden chuckle as Klaus led them to dance and swing as  spin as if they were drunk got all of their attention dart onto the two best friends. And their silence got both of them to stop as their family hoped they know a certain place to shelter for a while.

Luckily, a particular place popped into Y/N's mind. The thing is, she couldn't remember the name. "Do you remember where I used to let you stay in for the night when you'd get wasted?" She asked Klaus, lightly hitting his chest with the back of her hand as she was hit into realization.

Klaus scrunched his eyebrows to think about it as hard as he can. When he remembered, he gasped in excitement.

****

Y/N stopped herself from entering Hotel Obsidian as the other forced themselves walking into one of the two entrances. Seeing as they aren't planning realizing that, she set foot in the hotel lobby at the other entrance while they were still pushing each other in the other.

All of the people's attention immediately went to them, as they try to fit through the rotary door altogether. Not draw attention, huh? She internally rebuked, waiting for them to finally stop. "Oh. Okay. Honestly?" Allison sputtered out as she struggled to come through. "Okay. We don't all need to be squeezed..."

"There are two entrances, by the way." Five addressed.

"Why didn't you go through that other entrance, then?" Asked Y/N rhetorically.

Klaus' grin started to form as he waltzed in the giant building. "Oh, Hotel Obsidian. I missed you, you slutty old dame." He preached to the Hotel while they looked at him strangely. "Absorb her." He started mustering the hotel's scent up his nose. "Absorb her into your bossom."

That's when all of a sudden, he became a tour guide for the place. "You know, 'cause back in her heyday, she played host to world leaders." He elaborated, "Roosevelt, Gandhi, Stalin, Gorbachev, Castro, King Olaf of Norway,"

Everyone gave him a look as he kept going. Even Y/N didn't know about all this. "One of the King Jongs, Tiro, Dalai Lama, Elvis, and not one, but two Kardashians." He finished. "Allegedly."

"Wouldn't that-- hey, where are you going?"

Klaus wasn't finished, but to Allison, it is. Her reaction about it is that she only rolled her eyes and walked away when she spotted a payphone right across the lobby. "I gotta make a call." She answered with monotone.

Allison's thoughts make it seem like she didn't want to be with them anymore. Y/N knew this as she heard her grumble in her thoughts. Hearing them made her roll her eyes, too.

Klaus shrugged it off and continued explaining what's with Hotel Obsidian. "Nowadays, she's just a flophouse, a party house for those of us not looking to be judged by society's rules and norms." By then, other people, including the staff, started listening to what he was telling his family.

"You mean a place to hide?" Luther asked, trying to put logic into the conversation.

"I think sanctuary would cover up what you've summarized better, Luther." Y/N chimed.

Klaus pointed out his two fingers at the both of them as they understood what he just told them. "Exactly! It's perfect!" He exclaimed. "And the best part is, she's gonna look after us,"

Y/N could've sworn she saw the man with the newspaper snuck a peek at them as Klaus went on with, "no questions asked. Never ever. Right?" In a hushed tone.

Y/N spotted once again another person staring at them. His time, it was a covered up lady and a man whispering at each other. "The way people look at us says otherwise."

"Come on." Klaus urged them to come with him at the reception as they were too estranged by the place.

As they followed him, the rest of them started murmuring about the place. "I may have some questions." Diego muttered.

"Yeah, me too." Followed by Luther.

Vanya just said it straight up. "This place is... weird."

****

Ding!

The bell Klaus rung sounded loud and full of reverb as he pressed it. It caught the receptionist's attention. That's where Klaus recognized a very familiar face.

"Chet!" He gasped. "Mon frère! It's so great to see you." Klaus thought of it as a reunion for the two of them to bump into each other again. "I'd like my usual suite, por favor."

He talked while the bell still chimed. When it was Chet's turn to speak, he tapped his finger on the bell for it to stop. "I've never seen you before." He stated while Luther and Diego distracted themselves with his dog, which made him start whimpering in fear.

"See? Told you. Discreet." Klaus pointed out as if he was playing along.

Chet scowled at the two men who was trying to play with his now frightened pet. "Please stop scaring my dog." He requested, making them stand back intimidated.

As they did, the dog looked at Y/N and put his paws on the counter with a grin. The receptionist furrowed his eyebrows in surprise. "But it seems as though he took a liking for you." Chet said.

Y/N gasped in awe. She really did try to hold herself back into petting his dog since she felt she might come off as disrespectful. Though finding out that this dog was standing up to meet her didn't help. "So can I pet him?" Her eyes sparkled in excitement, it made Five grin even though he knows she wasn't talking to him right now.

"I don't see why not." Chet shrugged. "Just try not to take him from me too often."

The girl squealed as she pitter-pattered up to the front the small dog. "Hi, baby..." Her voice became small as she brought her hand to his nose, asking for his consent to pet him. The dog's lick on her finger was a go sign for Y/N. "You're such a good boy." She exclaimed, scratching the back of his ears. It was then, they knew Y/N wasn't gonna care about what's surrounding them right now.

The way she talked to the animal made Number Five swallow up air. Seeing as he was trapped in a pubescent body, her display of conversational affection made an... effect on him.

Luther and Diego frowned upon her, feeling envious of getting to play with the little dog. But before they hear nothing but Y/N's cooing over him, Vanya spoke up. "We need some rooms, please." She said.

"Super." Chet hummed as he put up a signage at front, that says:

CASH UP FRONT

"And, how will we be paying today?" He asked as he placed it on top of the counter.

"Oh." Klaus uttered. Cash? They don't even have a penny. "Fine. Empty your pockets." Luther started fumbling over his pockets, seeing if he there's at least a misplaced 10 dollar bill. "Come on. Something."

Others obliged and followed Luther's lead. When they picked up what was in their pockets, they all showed it in a circle. Y/N only had a used handkerchief that still had Five's blood when he got scratched by Pogo. Other than that, all they had were:

A handful of condoms from Klaus. "Condom?" Luther repeated.

"Can't exchange those for cash."

A knife from Diego. Though Luther found in unacceptable. "Put the knife away!" He scolded.

A couple of peppermints from Vanya. "Ooh, can I have one?" Y/N asked after seeing them.

A crumpled and dried up tissue paper from Five, and a hairnet from Luther. "Why do I have a hairnet?" He questioned himself.

While they were problematic of the transaction, Y/N remembered Luther's watch. So she took it from him with her telekinesis. "What'll we get with this watch?" She asked Chet, handing it over to him as she let the dog go and mind his business.

The lanky receptionist took it without a word, contemplating that maybe it was an authentic, branded wrist watch. He brought a loupe to his eye and examined the peace of accessory. And it seemed good enough to give them what they need.

And so, he went over to his key storage and grabbed two keys, walking back to them as he presented the two unlocking tools. "Two rooms." He said, putting them down in front of them. "Mazel tov." He added. Seems like a fair enough deal. Y/N thought to herself.

"Awesome." Klaus grinned as he took one of the room keys.

"All right." Allison spoke up, taking the other room key. "Well, let's Brady bunch this bitch."

Soon enough, they dragged their feet to get to the elevator. While they did, Number Five looked around for a place for them to have a family meeting. "Uh, meet back at the bar in two hours so we can make a plan." He ordered.

All of a sudden, Diego ran up in front of them with eagerness. "I have a plan." He announced. This made Y/N sigh with an eye roll. "Don't you think we need to get some re--"

"We attack the Sparrows and we get back our house--"

"Or not, see how that goes for you." Y/N mumbled as they took the stairs and went past Diego one by one, who was still going on about his so-called plan.

"-- and then we punch Dad a bit until he admits that we're better and he loves as more. Boom! Done!" He felt so proud of himself with that idea. But no one else was there to listen to it in a serious manner. "We're wasting time!

The last two people to walk past him were Y/N and Klaus. "Relax!" Klaus drawled, wrapping his arm around Y/N as he urged Diego to move on for now. "Don't sweat it, man."

"Believe us, we would go with that, but it's easier said than done." Y/N remarked with her sleep deprivation taking over her brain. She just made a lie without thinking. She wasn't gonna go with that reckless strategy.

"Besides, those shit birds are staying out for a while." Klaus confided, getting into the elevator when Diego still stood there. "I bet they're as wiped as we are."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I mean, kicking our asses looked exhausting."

****

Klaus'point was just proven wrong when the Sparrows ran on their treadmills together. Upbeat music played in the background as they practiced their breathing while they quickly put one foot in front of the other.

"Big one is strong," Marcus spoke up, "but slow. Possibly stupid." He commented about Luther. "Some sort of... Simian hybrid." His last judgement made his siblings laugh.

Things took a turn when the rest started giving their own opinions. "Who took the little jumpy guy? And didn't he have a girlfriend?" Sloane asked. "Barely saw her in the middle of the fight." She added.

"Me." Jayme responded to her first question. "Just gave a spanking and sent him back to school." She explained.

"Ayo!" Alphonso hollered her and bumped fists with her.

Though Jayme remembered Y/N's sudden attack. "But his girlfriend? Feisty one." She chuckled.

"Well, you did piss her off and started befriending her at wrong timing." Fei chimed after she witnessed what happened to their fight from her birds. "Her headbutt seemed strong."

Jayme hummed in agreement, "Got me knocked out for sec, actually." She said. "No wonder Dad considered adopting her."

Christopher also had something to say, but none of them minded that. As Fei followed, "The skinny one is their weak link."

"Unless hiding behind the couches shouting, “where's my daddy?” is his superpower." Ben ridiculed. Their horseplay came to slow down when Ben went to the more serious note. "Enough, post-gaming. The disrespected us, Marcus." He complained to the leader, "We need to be out there finding these freaks and taking them out."

Marcus then snapped his head towards Ben, "Oh, you mean like this?" He then grabbed the flat screen's remote, switching from music to the surveillance from a while ago where they were being scattered out by the seventh Umbrella's ability.

He then slowed down his treadmill to a halt and hopped out of the equipment. Others following up on slowing their treadmills. "Can someone explain how you got your asses handed to you in 30 seconds?" Marcus demandingly questioned his teammates, "Do you have any idea what would happen to our reputation if anyone had seen that?" His voice by the end rose up, giving a fright to a couple of the Sparrows.

Grace simply served their green juices for their snack break with a glowing smile, unlike the first time around. Wherein she was too stressed and uptight.

"I mean, haven't faced decent enemies for years." Marcus said. "This could be good for us. Good for business.

"But only, if we're smart on our next move."

Random thought:

I have come to a realization that flatulence is practically just invisible shit made out of air.

Lmao, I hope it's not too disturbing. I tried to use formal terms to make it less gross HAHA

Anyway, have a good one!
