Finding Myself

We heard the stairs squeak alittle as she makes her way upstairs

" Nana this is Isabella" Samuel says as soon as she comes in sight

" Oh Isabella! It's so nice to meet you , you are a pretty little thing aren't ya" she said

" Thank you " I say

" Nana , she needs a place to stay for awhile so she's gonna crash here , is that ok with you ?" He asks

" Oh my dear sweet thing, of course you can stay here and for however long you need to "

" Thank you kindly " I say

" Oh why are you all wet dear ?"

I didn't realize I didn't dry that much over night , but I didn't want to go in full explanation

" Nana those men hit Isabella and was real cruel to her , we spent the night in the ally and she has no place to call home , her parents are no longer here"Samuel said sadly

My eyes grow wide , wait did he really just tell her that ? Samuel looks at me

" We tell each other everything,no secrets in this family , that way we are all on the same page " he said

" It's ok dear , we are open to have you live here for however long you need ,ok? We are very glad to have you " Nana said

" Thank you guys kindly , but I don't wanna be a burden , don't feel obligated to help me " I say

" We don't , we really want you here , ok ? Don't say your a burden , because you aren't ok " Samuel spoke

" Come on let's get you showered and fed " Nana said

" I have a few clothes you can have. Ones that don't fit me anymore , they might fit you ,although you are quite skinny" Samuel said

" Thanks " I say as I follow him to his room , I don't like to be called skinny ,but he doesn't know that ,so I let it go

As he goes through his closet , I think about Luke , does he miss me ? Did I worry him ? Will he punish me if he finds me , I might have to find my way back , because I miss him , but I also love these people too , maybe I can have two homes?

" Isabella?"

" Oh yes ,sorry " I say getting out of my thoughts

" Here these should fit you , hope you don't mind boy clothes " he said

" Oh I don't might , I would wear anything as long as it's not wet" I say and we both laugh

" Ok I'm going to go shower , I'll see you later " I said and make my way to the bathroom

As I shower I thought about telling them that Luke was taking care of me but I ran away , would they be mad ,and Luke was probably looking for me now and what if he finds me here ,would he take me away ?

" Samuel!" I call after I was done

" Yes ? Coming !" He yells

A minute later he could be heard running up the stairs

" Yes ,did something happen are you ok?" He asks while panting

" No I'm ok , I just thought to tell you something,you said no secrets and I wanted to tell you " I say

" Oh ok , well let's hear it "

I tell him everything, from the day I lost my mom ,to the moment when he found me , his eyes were wide and almost with tears while I told the whole story , he hated the part were I was starved because I had no food

" Isabella , I'm so very sorry you had to go through that much pain and suffering, I want to make your life perfect,I wish I could take back everything that happened to you , but I know I can't , but I can help you now" he says

" Thanks Samuel" I say

" And if Luke comes to find you ,it's ok ,we can always ,always be friends and we are here for you ,you can come whenever you want to" he says with a big smile

" Thanks again ,your to kind!" I say and hug him ,he hugs me back

I felt like he hugged me with a different kind of meaning tho ,like he ,I don't know ...likes me ?
