After I finished helping Luke wash the dishes I went to the tv and put on a show , no one was around so I just sat there by myself
After a bit I wanted some juice so I went to the fridge and got some out , I got a glass from the cabinet and poured some in after putting it back and closing the fridge I grab my glass and start walking to the living room but Sammy comes out of no where and scares me
"Ahhhh" I yell and drop my glass , having it break on the kitchen tile
" Sammy !" I yell
" Sorry ,I was trying to scare you ,I didn't know you had a glass in your hand , here "
He lifts me up and sets me in a glass-free area and starts to clean it up
" Dad!" I yell , knowing that Sammy will need help
No answer
" Dad!" I try again
" Yes , what ... Oh my god are you okay !" It was Luke again not dad
" I'm okay , Sammy needs help " I say
He turns immediately and helps Sammy clean the glass off the floor
" Thank god no one got hurt " he said
" Can I have a glass of juice please ?" I ask
" Sure sweetie" after it's all clean he goes and finds me another glass and fills it with juice
" What's going on in here , all I want is a little quiet and I never get it !" Ethan yells as he eyes up what happened
" No she doesn't get juice after dropping it !" He yells
Luke looks at me and I have tears in my eyes
" Stop crying , go find something quiet to do , stay out of trouble " he says and waits til I leave the kitchen and Sammy follows me
" She's just a kid Ethan , don't treat her that way " I hear Luke say
" I've had a stressful week all I do is have to get her to stop causing trouble it's annoying" Ethan said
" Get yourself together" Luke walks out of the kitchen
Ethan goes back to his office
I just find a spot on the couch and I curl up with the blanket and cry , Sammy sits next to me and hugs me
" Izzy , Izzy don't cry it's okay ,here ..Look " Luke says as he sits on the opposite side next to me and puts a comforting hand on my leg
I look up and see that he has my glass of juice
" Thanks " I say through my tears
" Hey please don't cry ,your making me sad " Luke says
" I don't like seeing you sad Izzy " Sammy says
" Ethan had a stressful week , just ignore him baby " Luke says
" How ...he's my dad !!" I start crying again , I crave his attention
" Sweetie it happens ,I'm sure it will blow over okay " Luke says
" Okay " I say and Sammy wipes my tears away
" How about I take you all to the park and we can fly kites !?" Luke says
" Really " I smile and jump up
" Yes really !!" Luke says and grabs me and puts me over his shoulder tickling my sides
" Hey!!" I say laughing
He carries me to the garage and sets me down so we can get our kites
" Got mine! " Samuel says
" Same!" I say
" Okay load up " Luke says and we run to the car
" I got shot gun !" Sammy yells
" Awww !" I say and get in the back
Once we get there we run out and find a spot in the field
" Here " Luke comes behind me and lifts me up and puts me on his shoulders ,I'm very light still ,so he can lift me with no effort
I put my kite out and it flys in the wind , making it more fun now that I'm high
" Hey look I'm better " Sammy says
" No mines better !" I say
" Race ya " he says and takes off
" Hold on !" Luke says and runs after him as I hold on to him
Luke passed Sammy and wins
" Ahhh I thought I'll win !" He says smiling
" Told ya , mines better " I say and smile
" You win " he says and we all start laughing
................
Once we get home and walk inside Ethan comes up to us
" Where do you think you have been young lady !" He says
" Umm I was with Luke " I say
" obviously" he says
" Did you ask my permission?"
" Ethan !" Luke says
" I didn't know where you guys were and you didn't answer your phone when I called you ! " He yells
I look to Luke
" No , go to your room , get ready for bed and go to bed !" Ethan says
" This is not her fault , I took the kids so we can get out of your hair and you can have some space " Luke says
Sammy grabs my hand and I look at him ,he mouths sorry
I frown
" She is 12 years old and old enough to ask me to go with you all , I'm her father , you guys can leave now " he says
" Ethan come on !" Luke says
" Sammy let go of her so she can go to bed " Ethan says and Sammy sighs and let's go
I run up the stairs without saying goodbye to them
" Ethan you are being unreasonable!" Luke says
" I'm her father ,I know what's best for her ! " He yells
" Fine ,but I'm still coming to check on her tomorrow" Luke says
" No , she is grounded for the time being and that includes seeing you all, now leave "
Luke grabs Sammys arm and leaves the house, slamming the door
I hear Ethan coming up the stairs . Thinking I'm about to be spanked I run and hide under the bed
He opens the door
" Get out "
I slowly crawl out and sit on my bed
" Your grounded for the time being until you learn that I'm your father you do what I say! you can't just run off the people like that "
" I'm sor....."
" I don't want to hear it , apologize when you are truly sorry !" With that he slams my door shut
I lay on my bed and cry .....
