Luke pov

I am on my way to pick Isabella up from her friends house when I get a call from Ethan , I answer it

" Hey what's up Ethan?"

" Hey man , so you know how I told you I was gonna watch Patrick's kids while their out of town?"

" Yeah , I knew you were gonna be there so I figured I could leave Isabella over there for the sleepover? Did something happen?" I was alittle concerned

" Well man , Sarah locked her in the basement ..." Ethan was saying but I interpreted him

" What the!  Why ! She's the one who invited her!!" I was through the roof angry now

"I don't know man ,but when I came there straight from work I found her there , she was on the stairs sleeping ,and she looked like she cried for hours , she didn't want me to tell you ,because she thinks you will think she's weak and then you will reject her "

" No I would never ,she's a daughter to me !" I am disappointed she would ever think that

" And umm that's what I also wanted to talk to you about?" Ethan said

" What do you mean ?" .......

Isabella pov

I wake up and felt so comfortable, that's when I remember what happened , I slowly get out of the warm cozy bed and go to the door and peek out

" Why would you ever do that ! She is a person with feeling , she's not a dog you can just lock in a room !"

I heard Ethan's voice yelling from a distance , they must be rooms down

" I didn't ! She must of walked in there by herself!" I heard Sarah say

" And locked the door from the outside ? I don't think so !"

" I'm calling your dad and telling him about what you did!! And you will apologize when Isabella wakes up !!!"he said

" Please Mr Smith , I'll never do it again ! Please don't tell my dad!!" She begged

When he introduced himself, he introduced himself as Ethan not Mr Smith I wonder why?

I heard footsteps coming my way , I quickly jump back in bed

" Isabella , come on you don't have to be afraid" Ethan had saw the opened door and he walked in

I look at him

" Come on ,you can make yourself at home , I'm sorry if the yelling scared you "

I get out of bed and go to him , he gets down to my level ,(yes I'm real small)

" You have grown up to be such a beautiful girl , your 12 right?" He asks

" Yes , but I look like I'm 8 or 9 "

" You are very mature tho , and being small makes you cute" I can tell he's just trying to make me feel better about it

I just shyly smile

" Come on I'll make you breakfast, Luke's on his way now "

I follow him downstairs

Sarah was sitting on the couch and didn't look at all happy

" I'll be in the kitchen , but I do know that Sarah has something to say to you " Ethan looks at Sarah sternly Then heads into the kitchen

" I'm sorry for locking you in the basement ,when I should of pushed you down the stairs" she says

Wow this girl is mean ,where do people learn this kind of behavior?

" I don't think that's an apology Sarah" I said

" Do I look like I would ever apologize to a person like you " she scuffs

" Well , I don't know what you would look like if you did , maybe then you wouldn't have should a big hole in your heart " I want to put this girl in her place

Ethan comes back in

" Did you apologize ?" He asked Sarah

" Of course I did " she said

Ethan looks at me

" Did she ?" He asks me

" She said she was sorry for locking me in the basement but that she should of pushed me down the stairs instead " I answer

" Damn it Sarah ,when do you learn?"

She just stuck her head high in the air

" Come here Sarah " he says

" No your not my dad !" She yells

" Fine ,I'll just have Luke take you to Jail , how do you feel about that ? Huh ?" Ethan grabs his phone out of his pocket and dials a number

" No wait stopp!!" She goes to him like he asks and he looks down at her

" I'm very disappointed in you Sarah, I thought better of you , you are grounded until farther notice "

" But that's not fair !!" She whines

" I don't think you would want me to punish you the old fashioned way now would you?" He asks

" I'll go to my room "

"That's what I thought" he says

She leaves and heads up  to her room

" Come on let's get breakfast, I have made eggs and bacon " he says

Once we were almost done eating , Luke shows up and I run to him and he lifts me up and hugs me tight

" Did you miss me angel " he asks

" I always do " I say

" Also Ethan has been real kind to me" I say

" Ethan " Luke questions and looks at him

" I just thought she could call me Ethan ,no harm in that " he answered with a big smile

" Oh umm that's right , Isabella?" Luke starts

" Yes ?"

" We need to have a talk "

" Ok ,did I do something wrong ?" I was worried

" No no ,of course not sweetie , it's something else " Ethan answered instead of Luke

" Come let's go sit on the couch " Luke says and we all go in the living room

" So , we wanted to put this in a way where it doesn't shock you. But I don't think there's a way not to , so we are gonna say in straight out ," Luke says

" What , what is it?" I ask

" Ethan ,. Well Ethan is your... umm... biological dad ......
