Finding Myself

Luke pov

After I called the kids inside for dinner I got a phone call ,I could hear the kids laughing outside so I went into the study and answered

" Hello ?"

" Hello , am I speaking with Luke?"

" This is he" I say

" Hello Luke , I'm sorry that I ever had to make this call with you but around 3:24 pm Ethan Morrison passed in his sleep , he couldn't have been saved as we found out he was allergic to something that was used to put him to sleep. but I am very sorry for your loss and he's daughters loss , we did everything we could I'm sorry ."

" Wait what !!" I yell , this cannot be happening!

" I'm sorry sir ,but I gotta go , there are other patients waiting for me , maybe I can save them, my job is to inform you and move on  " with that they hung up

That person didn't even care !!!!

I fell into my knees and cried for the first time in years
I cried all my tears for hours and hours not even ever realizing the kids had entered and asked me what had happened,as they just stayed with me and ended up crying , I knew they were scared but at that moment I couldn't and didn't have any strength to comfort them , let alone no one to comfort me , I'm all alone having to care for two kids that I feel I could never give them what they need in life ......

Isabella pov

We walked inside after having cleaned up the mess and we both heard crying from the study

"Izzy is that dad?"

" Yeah " I say

We both run to the door and see Luke on the floor crying loudly

" Dad !!! Dad!" Sammy yelled and rushed to his side

I ran to him as well , concerned because I've never seen a grown man cry this hard before

"Luke ! What happened?" I ask

"Dad just tell us so we can help you !!" Sammy cries out

We both just hug him on either side and cry with him ,not sure what else to do , I just hope nothing too bad happened ?.......

"Nooo! Your lying ! Please tell me your lying !!!!! " I yell

" Izzy ,just hear me out , there is no good way to break this to you , my heart aches as much as yours , because he was my brother" Luke says

It had been two days since seeing  Luke cry in the study , him breaking the news about my dad dying is probably one of the scariest things in my weird life , my family always leaves me through death

" Baby ,I'm so sorry " Luke starts crying and holds me , I didn't even realize I was crying, I felt numb to the pain , the last memory of my dad was everything, everything he did for me and when we laughed together everything! I felt like dying so I could be with him

" I wanna die " I say sadly through my tears
" Please take me to my dad so I can die and be with him , I'm not loving anything or anyone ever again , cus all I do is lose them " I roll in a ball

" Baby , don't say that , your okay , breath with me baby , baby ! " Luke is scared I could tell , but this pain , it's even scarier.
