The Regular Show X Reader

Mordecai awes as he wakes up and stretches. "Alright, dude, time to get up." Rigby whines in reply. "Come on, Rigby." Rigby whines more. "Dude, get up. We gotta get ready for work." Mordecai said. Rigby sits up. "Okay, okay." He grunts. Mordecai stands up. "Dude, this is so cool. I never got a job that got you a place to live." He said. "I never even had a job." Rigby said. Rigby gets the dirty clothes off of him while Mordecai is watching him struggle getting it off. "Yeah, about that." Rigby gets up and puts the dirty clothing in one corner. "I kinda told them you'd be a good idea to hire, so can you try not to do the whole "Rigby thing". Mordecai said. ""Rigby thing"? What do you mean?"

Rigby asked. "I mean you're lazy." Mordecai said. "What? I'm not lazy." Rigby said. "Dude, you were too lazy to fill up the application for this job. That's why I had to vouch for you in the first place." Mordecai said. "Just because I was too lazy to do something boring like filling in a job application doesn't mean I'm lazy." Rigby said angrily. "Okay. Okay. Look. Let's just both promise that starting right now we're not gonna do anything to screw this up. Okay?" Mordecai asked. "Okay. You think there's breakfast stuff in the kitchen?" Rigby asked. Mordecai thinks... "Only one way to find out." He said. The duo go into the kitchen and Mordecai opens the fridge.

"...Milk." He grabs the milk. "...Cereal." Rigby grabs the cereal. "...Combine." the duo said. Mordecai pours the milk & Rigby pours the cereal. They sit down at the kitchen table where Rigby was about to eat his cereal until Mordecai puts his hand in his chest. "This is the only clean spoon left, dude. Let's play "Punchies" for it." He said. " Okay. Me first." Rigby punches Mordecai but gets surprised when he thought it was weak. Mordecai laughs then punches Rigby hard in his arm. "Owww. Take it." Mordecai laughs then talks with his mouth full. "Man, so far this job is awesome! I still can't believe we get our own rooms!" He said.

"Dude, those rooms aren't cool. There's nothing in 'em. I had to sleep on the floor last night." Rigby hums and whistles. Rigby eats the cereal from the box. "Well, yeah, I mean, we could get some stuff for it after we make some money. You know?" Mordecai asked. "I guess." Rigby said. "You want some milk?" Mordecai asked. "Yeah." Mordecai pours the milk into Rigby's mouth when all of a sudden Benson comes in. "Hey! Please don't eat up in the table like that." He scolded.

"Like what?" (Y/n) asked. The duo see (Y/n), a young female chipmunk, helping Pops & Benson taking out a chair. But their eyes were only focused on the girl helping. Mordecai & Rigby are in shock staring at her and are not even paying attention to what they're doing. "Oh my. I've never seen anyone eating cereal like that. How quaint!" Pops said, and the chipmunk giggles. She had such a pretty laugh...

"Yeah, well they shouldn't be doing that. That's what the bowls are for." Benson said. "Oh, they're fine!" Pops said. The trio leave the room. "Who was that girl with them? She wasn't here when we arrived yesterday." Mordecai said, and Rigby shrugs. "I don't know." He said. They stare at each other and suddenly go outside where (Y/n), Pops & Benson took the chair out. The duo approach the chipmunk as she turns around and notices them. She smiles shyly at the duo. "Hi there. I'm Mordecai. And this my best friend, Rigby." He said, introducing the two. "Sup?" Rigby asked, waving slightly. "We're new here. What's your name?" Mordecai said.

"Um... I'm (Y/n)." She said quietly, and the duo didn't really hear her. "Huh?" Rigby asked. "I'm sorry, what was that?" Mordecai asked. "Um... My name is (Y/n)." She said. "Didn't quite catch that." Mordecai said. "I'm (Y/n)." She said quietly again, but this time a bit louder. Rigby eyes his best friend. "I still didn't hear what she said." He replied. "Her name is (Y/n)." Mordecai said. "Oh..." Rigby said, and Benson sighs a little. "Sorry guys, (Y/n) here is just a little bit on the shy side, but she's different once she opens up." Benson said, and Pops nods in agreement. "Oh I agree! She's like a whole different person!" Pops said.
