"And now the nerves begin," Elle grinned to me as we pushed the luggage trolley through arrivals, looking exhausted.

"Now?" I asked. "My nerves began as soon as we set the date."

"You can't deny that you're excited though," Chloe said, looking at me as I got my phone out of my pocket to text George.

Before I had the chance to even get a new message open, Elle grabbed the phone from my hands. "Nope," she winked. "No contact until the wedding."

I groaned as I watched Elle slip my phone into the pocket of her jeans. "It's like being fifteen again."

"You behave or you won't be getting married on Saturday," Chloe joked.

As the taxi pulled up to the front of the hotel where the wedding would take place, I looked out the window and grinned as I admired the impressive building. "It's actually happening," I beamed.

Getting out of the car, I kept looking at the beautiful building - still trying to take it all in. As the taxi driver helped to unload all our bags from the back of the taxi, another taxi pulled up behind us.

"Sammy!" a voice said from behind me as I stood watching mum and the taxi driver carrying all the bags to the lobby of the hotel.

Turning around, I was shocked as to who I saw. "Kate!" I beamed, rushing up to her and hugging her, wrapping both my arms around her as tight as I could. "I thought  you couldn't come."

"We wouldn't miss it for the world!" Kate grinned. "George got everything sorted for us to fly over but told us to tell you we couldn't make it so it would be a surprise."

"It's definitely a surprise," I giggled.

"Kate," mum beamed as she realised who I was stood talking to and rushed over to us, nearly dropping the bridesmaids dresses in the process. "I thought.."

"George," I grinned.

"Would I really miss your wedding?" Kate asked, looking at me.

I shook my head with a huge smile across my face. "There's also somebody you need to meet."

Kate stood beside her taxi as she watched me walk back to my taxi and reach inside. Carefully unclipping Katy from her car seat as she slowly woke up, I propped her against my body and walked back towards where Kate was stood talking to mum. "Katy, meet your great-aunt," I laughed as Katy looked at Kate through her sleepy eyes.

"Kate and Katy?" Jonathan asked as he got out of the car. "This will get confusing."

"Hiya," I grinned, giving him a one armed hug.

"She's beautiful though, Sammy," Jonathan laughed, hugging me back before saying hello to an unusually shy Katy.

Katy burrowed her head into my chest as Kate went to say hello to her. "Hey," I whispered to Katy as she hid. "Don't get all shy now when I want you to be not shy."

Slowly, Katy looked around at Kate.

"She's absolutely stunning, Sammy," Kate beamed. "She's the spitting image of you. How old is she now?"

"Sixteen months," I smiled.

"Has she said her first word yet?" Jonathan asked, teaching Katy how to high five.

I nodded proudly "Mama."

"Bet George wasn't too pleased about that," Kate joked.

"They weren't exactly together at that point," mum blurted out, interrupting me before I had the chance to say anything.

"What happened?" Kate asked, looking shocked at mum's revelation.

"Long story," I said before mum had the chance to update Kate on mine and George's love life.

"You can tell me all about it over a coffee while I admire this little lady," Kate smiled to me, gesturing for me to pass Katy to her.

“What on Earth happened to you?” Kate asked Chloe as Chloe hobbled into the hotel on her crutches with Josh walking in behind her carrying both of his and her bags.

“Car accident,” Chloe laughed, struggling to give Kate a hug as she balanced on one crutch.

“No,” Kate said. “I meant with the bump!”

“Oh,” Chloe grinned. “Yeah.”

“Congratulations you two by the way,” Kate smiled to Josh and then Chloe as they stood next to each other. “But I never, not even in a million years, would have put you two together as a couple - let alone married.”

“Thanks,” Josh beamed, placing his hand on Chloe’s bump.

“Where’s George?” I asked Josh.

“He’s on his way so you’d better go away until he’s in his room,” Josh smiled.

“How’s he feeling? Is he okay? Does he still wanna do this?” I asked.

I could have asked a million more questions about him but Josh interrupted me before I had the chance. “He’s good. He misses you two like crazy though,” Josh smiled. “But seriously, you need to go unless you wanna break the ‘not seeing each other before the wedding’ rule.”

I groaned. I knew I’d regret agreeing to the rule soon enough but I didn’t realise it’d be this soon.

“Just 24 hours to go,” Chloe whispered to me as mum ushered us into the hotel’s restaurant.
