This part is from George’s point of view
Stood in the bathroom, I looked in the mirror at my reflection as I tied the tie around my collar. As I tried to concentrate on what I was doing, I heard some voices coming from the bedroom area. After quickly straightening my tie, I went to open the bathroom door but instead got barged back into the bathroom by JJ and Jaymi.
“What’s going on?” I asked, confused as to why they had barricaded me in the bathroom when the wedding was half an hour away. “Is this your idea of a last minute stag do idea?”
“Sammy’s here,” JJ said as he poked his head around the door.
“What?” I asked. “Why? Is everything okay?”
JJ slid around the door and shut it behind him. “Yeah, she’s just talking to Michael,” he smiled. “You look smart.”
“Does my hair look okay?” I asked as I turned back around to look at it in the reflection.
“Looks great,” he smiled. “Look at you though. Getting married.”
“Finally..”
“You two are gonna be so happy together, you know that, right?”
“I do,” I nodded, laughing at the irony of ‘I do’ when in less than an hour I would be saying ‘I do’ to my wife.

Sitting on a bar stool in the hotel’s bar, I looked around at all the guests that were arriving to witness my marriage to Sammy. All the people that mattered in the world to us were here, with a few inevitable exceptions. My heart was pounding with nerves and my stomach was tied into a huge knot. I’d never been so nervous in my entire life - not even for my audition on the X Factor all those years ago.
“Drink this,” dad smiled to me as he handed me a glass of vodka.
“Oh, no,” I hesitated. “I don’t want to get drunk. I want to remember every single second of this day.”
“It’ll help with the nerves,” dad continued. “Trust me.”
Reluctantly, I placed the glass to my lips and downed it. I didn’t feel any less nervous though. Taking a deep breath, I looked at my watch - half an hour to go.
“Couldn’t be more prouder than you,” dad smiled to me. “You’ve met a lovely girl and had a beautiful daughter together - they’re your family now.”
“They’re both my entire world.”
“Good luck, George.”

As the wedding march began and the doors at the back of the room opened, everyone stood up. Facing the front where the registrar was stood, I took a deep breath to prepare myself and get rid of the nerves before I turned around to see Chloe walking down the aisle, holding a bouquet in her hand as she smiled at everyone in the passing. Once Chloe reached the front, she flashed a huge grin to me before standing in front of a seat in the row at the front reserved for the bridesmaids. Looking back down the aisle, I saw Elle walking towards where I was stood with a gracious smile on her face. Once she went to stand beside Chloe, she put both her thumbs up at me. Taking another deep breath, I looked back up the aisle to see Kayla walking down it, beaming as she greeted people looking at her. Three bridesmaids down - now the moment had come..
Everyone gasped as Sammy entered the room, linking arms with Michael and Katy plodding along in front of her. I had never seen anybody looking as beautiful as she did. A smile was carved onto her face but I could tell she was as nervous, if not a bit more nervous, than I was. As she got half way down the aisle, she looked straight at me. As soon as she smiled back at me, all my nerves seemed to disappear. It felt as if we were the only ones in the whole world, let alone the room. Katy picked up her pace and began to scamper towards me. Scooping her up in my arms and giving her a huge hug, I couldn’t stop smiling. As everyone in the room began to ‘aww’ at me and Katy, I looked up at the aisle to see Sammy giggling behind a blush.
“Look after her,” Michael smiled to me as him and Sammy reached the front.
“I will,” I beamed, looking Sammy in the eyes with a huge grin across my face. “I really will.”
As Michael went to stand beside Jenny, taking Sammy’s bouquet of flowers with him, I took hold of Sammy’s hand, still holding onto Katy in my other arm.
“Dear friends and family,” the registrar began as everyone sat down, leaving us both at the front. “We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union..”
“J!” Katy giggled, making everyone laugh.
“..of George Shelley and Sammy Jones in marriage.”
Looking into her eyes, I couldn’t stop myself from grinning. I had never seen anything so beautiful as my girlfriend - my bride.
