Months passed by after the attack and the entrance exam was steadily approaching. My self-defense training was starting to pay off as I recently started using my quirk during spars. My mom was excited to see it all come together. The days began to blur together until it was the morning of the exam.

I woke up extra early to make sure I wouldn't be late. When I went to the kitchen, I was shocked to see my mom cooking breakfast. "Mom, you're still here?" I asked in surprise.

She turned at the sound of my voice, smiling brightly. "Of course! I have to send my little [N/n] off on exam day!"

Turning back to the stove, she continued. "I'm so proud of you, darling. You're going to do amazing and soon enough you'll be a real pro hero!"

Rushing up to her, I hugged her tight. "Thank you, mom!"

We ate breakfast together and then I got ready to leave. At the door, she hugged me and promised a celebratory dinner of [f/f]. With her words of encouragement fresh in my mind, I was off to UA for the exam.

As I made my way down the sidewalk, I felt a coil of anxiety in my chest. I knew I had worked hard for today but I couldn't help but wonder if I ready.

Shaking any second thoughts from my focus, I straightened my posture and continued forward with a forced determination. If I wanted to help people with my quirk, I needed to pass this exam.

As the large building came into view, all my worries rushed to the forefront of my mind. I took a deep breath and forced myself to relax. It was time to give it my all. I was beginning to feel excited despite my fears.

Releasing a breath, I made my way into the building and got signed in. I took my seat in the auditorium and looked around. I noticed the guy to my left giving me a strange look. His tired eyes watched me for a moment before looking away.

Suddenly, the lights dimmed and a man appeared on stage. Grinning, I recognized him as the pro hero Present Mic. "Welcome to today's live performance! Everybody say hey!"

The silence was deafening. I felt kind of bad for him, he was trying to make this exciting but nobody was going along with it. Despite the lack of enthusiasm, he continued with the instructions until a student interrupted with an accusatory question.

Turning my attention to the paper in front of me, I frowned. My quirk wouldn't be very helpful for fighting the robots so I'd need to find a creative solution.

As soon as Present Mic finished, the lights came back on and everyone began heading to their assigned testing locations. Reading my card, I saw I was assigned to location F.

After arriving, I stretched and tried to come up with a strategy to take down the villain bots.

Suddenly, a buzzer rang out. "GO!"

Despite everyone stalling around me, I popped down the street and started running.

While Present Mic explained there was no countdown in real situations, I came across my first bot. A two pointer. Adrenaline flooded my system as I quickly scanned my foe for weak spots. "Target Acquired," droned a robotic voice.

In an instant, I popped onto the back of the bot, pulling off a panel before ripping out wires. The hunk of metal collapsed to the ground with a loud clang and I was off to find another.

Dashing around a corner, I heard a cry and turned to see a tiny purple kid surrounded by 3 pointers. I quickly popped over to him and popped us both down the street. Not waiting around for a sign of gratitude, I ran back down the street.

After a few minutes, I was dismayed to find I only had 7 points in all. I paused for a moment to try and catch my breath when suddenly the ground began shaking.

My stomach dropped as an enormous shadow loomed over the street. I turned to see the largest bot so far ambling in my direction. Buildings crumbled as it paved a steady path.

I snapped into action at the sound of a panicked shriek. I noticed some of the other examinees were frozen in fear. I popped to the first, a short blonde girl, and got her away quickly.

Two more examinees later, I saw a boy with black hair trying to out run the 0 pointer. Just as I was about to pop to him, a large section of a building collapsed on him. My mind blanked and I felt my heart stop.

Completely forgetting my quirk, I dashed to the pile of rubble and began trying to dig him out. Heaving a large piece out of the way, the boy jumped out completely fine.

My breath caught in my throat at the surprise. As the boy grinned and I suddenly remembered the 0 pointer. I grabbed his arm and popped us as far away from the bot as I could.

The boy laughed as we landed. "Woah! Man your quirk is so awesome!"

He smiled brightly before introducing himself. "My name's Eijiro Kirishima! Thanks for getting me out of that thing's way!"

I looked down quickly, "It was n-no problem... my name's [Y/n] [L/n]. Are you okay?"

Kirishima grinned, "Yeah, I'm fine! My quirk hardens my body so the building didn't even hurt," he hardened his arm to demonstrate.

"I saw you teleporting some other kids too! So manly!" He raised a fist and beamed.

Suddenly, a buzzer echoed through the arena signaling the end of the mock battle.

As the adrenaline wore off, the use of my quirk began to show itself. I stumbled but righted myself as Kirishima caught my shoulder.

"Hey man, are you okay?"

He seemed genuinely concerned but I nodded and smiled. "Y-yeah just tired from using my quirk so much," I stammered.

The black haired boy nodded, "Alright, then let's get to the bus!"
