? Benevolence ?

With Aizawa-sensei busy for the day, Hitoshi and I decided to train on our own. We set up towards the tree line near the dorms, sparring for a couple hours. At some point we take a break, sitting together in a tree's shade.

Somehow I end up laying halfway across the other boy's lap but neither of us comment on it. The exhaustion from a day of training creeps up on me and I start to doze. A hand cards through my hair hesitantly. I'm right on the brink of sleep when I catch a faint whisper, not meant to be heard.

"...you're so cute..."

Before I can think too much on it, I drift off completely.

I must not sleep for very long because the sun is still in the sky when I start to stir. I wonder what woke me until I recognize the sound of harsh whispers.

"-sorry! I didn't know he was sleeping!"

"I swear to god if you wake him up, I'll kill you right now. You'll be dead in seconds. Don't even test me."

I peek my eyes open to see a very stressed out Kirishima standing a few feet away. Turning my gaze to Hitoshi, a dangerous glare is focused on the redhead.

"...'toshi?"

He glances down at the sound of my voice, glare melting away in mere seconds.

"Hey... good nap?"

"Mhm." Deciding not to comment on the previous conversation I turn my gaze to Kirishima, offering a soft smile. "Hey, Kiri. You need something?"

"Um... The guys and I were gonna go get ice cream and we wanted to see if you wanted come but it's okay if you're busy."

I sit up, stretching lightly. "I actually finished up a little while ago. Can Hitoshi come too?"

"Of course, the more the merrier! Come on! Kaminari knows an awesome place!"

I jump to my feet, pulling Hitoshi up with me. He seems to fall back into his usual reserved disposition as we follow Kirishima to the campus exit. I greet Kaminari, Sero, and Bakugou as we catch up to them.

"H-hey guys."

The electric quirk user spins to face me with a grin. "[L/n]! Glad you can come with! This place is literally the best, they make everything homemade- it's amazing!"

Most of the walk is filled with the other boys' chatter while Hitoshi and I follow quietly behind them.

When we reach the ice cream shop, I'm almost surprised at the number of flavors available. I decide to go with my favorite, [f/f], Hitoshi ends up picking strawberry, Kaminari- chocolate, Sero- vanilla, Kirishima- cookies and cream, and finally Bakugou with rocky road.

As we leave the shop, ice cream in hand, I glance over to my lilac haired friend. The light pink of the strawberry ice cream almost makes his hair look a softer purple. He catches me looking and flashes a small smile, bumping my shoulder.

I notice Bakugou never strays too far from Kirishima's side but he seems to eye Hitoshi almost distrustfully on the way back. This prompts a weird staring match between the two that only ends when I push 'toshi's arm lightly, accidentally knocking his ice cream into his face.

He drops his gaze to me, eyes narrowed, and I realize my mistake a second too late as he shoves my own ice cream into my face. I let out a shocked yelp at the temperature.

"-'toshi!"

"You started it."

"It was an accident!"

"Too bad."

I glare playfully, moving to shove his arm again but he pivots, dodging my halfhearted swipe. The rest of the walk back to campus is filled with me attempting to get further revenge and Hitoshi evading me effortlessly.

We've finished our ice cream by the time we reach campus and the sun is setting. The others head back to the dorms while lag behind. Just before we go our separate ways, I turn to the lilac haired teen, stuttering quietly.

"Yo-you're c-cute, t-too..."

If it wasn't for the sun's rays offsetting the color of everything, I would almost think Hitoshi was blushing slightly. Before he can respond, I pop back to my dorm room and collapse on my bed, burying my face in my pillow.
