At the end of class, those of us who were scouted were given a list of the heroes interested in us. Everyone else received a list of agencies willing to take on interns.

Skimming over my list, I quickly made my decision. No way I could pass up this opportunity. At the sound of someone approaching my desk, I looked up.

"Hey, [L/n]! You decided yet? I'm planning on going major crimes in the big city!" Kirishima grinned at me excitedly.

I nodded, dropping my eyes to my paper. "Yeah, actually. I'm planning on rescue efforts but somewhere more rural cus my quirk is better suited for the city. I want to be sure I can help in all situations, you know?"

The redhead nodded, his hair swaying wildly at the movement. "That's a good idea! You're really into the whole rescue hero thing, huh?"

I smiled, before beginning to pack up my stuff. "Definitely. I'd much rather save people than fight, not that I won't fight if I have to. I just- I want to make sure I save everyone I can."

A serious look bled onto Kirishima's face and he nodded again, slowly. "I get what you mean."

Almost as if it never happened, a smile was back on his face, bright as ever. "Well! I'll see ya later, [L/n]!" He bounded off and I finished gathering my things and headed to the door.

When I got home, I was surprised to see my mom was actually home making dinner. I rushed into the kitchen for a quick hug. "[N/n]! I know I'm back early! Its been awhile since we've been able to talk! Catch me up!"

I smiled brightly and told her all about the latest hero classes, my new friends, and finally the internships. "So we'll be spending the week with actual heroes!" I exclaimed, ecstatic at the idea.

My mom gave me a soft smile, though it seemed forced. "That's wonderful, darling... but won't it be dangerous? Especially after USJ?"

I frowned at her comment. "I'm sure it'll be fine. They wouldn't let us do anything they didn't think would be okay. Besides, I already picked out my internship and they focus on rescues!"

My mom hummed for me to continue.

"Turns out, a ton of heroes were personally interested in me! But the real awesome bit is The Wild, Wild Pussycats were interested!"

I was buzzing with excitement at the news. "They focus on mountain rescue so I thought it'd be good to learn from them cus my quirk is better suited for the city. I wanna help people regardless of the terrain."

My mother smiled nervously, but the pride was visible. "That's wonderful! I'm excited for you! Promise you'll stay safe?"

I smiled lightly, "Promise."

Days passed and I soon found myself with the rest of 1-A at the train station. I held my costume case close. My heart was beating out of my chest. I was really about to work with pros! I moved to stand near Kirishima, listening to Aizawa.

"Wearing your costumes in public is strictly prohibited, but don't drop them." he glared tiredly. "All of you, be on your best behavior. Now go!"

At his dismissal, I headed for my train. The agency where I was heading was located in a more rural area so I'd be getting picked up by someone to take me to their headquarters once I got off the train.

Boarding the train, I tucked my bags under my seat and got comfortable. I had a feeling there wouldn't be a lot of relaxing this next week.

I'm really sorry these have been taking awhile. This chapter is a little shorter. I'm gonna need to do a little research on the characterization of the pros I picked out and come up with a plan for the internship. Any suggestions are appreciated. You're all super sweet with the comments!
