One Sunday in December, I'm startled awake at the sound of my door being thrown open. Peeking out from under my several blankets, I see Kirishima run over to my bed and tugs on my arm with a blinding grin.

"[N/n]! Get up! It's snowing!"

Suddenly wide awake, I roll out of bed. The redhead bounces around the room before telling me to meet him downstairs and taking off. I change into  my warmest clothes before deeming myself ready.

Popping downstairs, I find everyone already awake. Kirishima spots me before bounding out the door excitedly. I race outside after him, grinning brightly. Behind us, Yaoyorozu sighs.

"You're gonna get your clothes wet."

"Mind over matter!" Kirishima bellows.

Once I make it outside, I slow to a stop and watch the sky in awe. Fluffy, white clumps of snow fall gently to the ground. It's breathtaking. I'm pulled from my thoughts when a snowball smacks me in the chest. Kirishima grins playfully from a few feet away.

"You're on, Kiri."

Before long, I'm ducking and dodging snowballs in an all out battle with the boisterous teen. I manage to get in a well placed shot to the top of his head and he narrows his eyes. Scooping up an armful of snow, he chases after me in an act of revenge.

I take off, smiling brightly as I try to out run him. Though its all in vain when he quickly catches up to me and tackles me to the ground, smothering me in the snow.

I'm shaking almost violently at this point but I can't tell if it's from my laughter or the cold. He pins my arms down, grinning victoriously.

"Give up!"

"Ne-nev-ver!"

My words are choppy with giggles and I struggle to free myself without the use of my quirk. It's not until my teeth start chattering that Kirishima lets up. He pulls me to my feet but I'm shaking too hard to continue the fight.

We decide to head back inside with a draw and go to dry off. I put my clothes into the dryer but find that I don't have any dry jackets. I head back downstairs wrapped up in a blanket, fully dry but not entirely warm.

In the common area, I settle onto the couch next to Kaminari who's watching the weather report. He glances over to me when I sneeze suddenly.

"Are you feeling sick? You and Kirishima were out there for awhile."

I shake my head with a soft smile. "I'm s-sure it's nothing. I'm fine."

Sero wanders over with his hands in his pockets, a smile on his face. "Careful. Wouldn't want to jinx yourself, [L/n]."

I cross my arms and meet his eyes with a burst of defiance. "I'm not g-getting sick. I feel fine."

"Famous last words."

Later that day, I find myself dozing off on the couch when Kirishima drops next to me and wakes me up.

"Hey, [N/n]! Wanna go back outside? We've got a score to settle!"

I blink up at him for a moment, comprehending his words. I must take too long because he speaks again before I can respond.

"Are you feeling okay?"

Pushing myself up straighter, I nod despite my fatigue. "Yeah, I'm g-good."

"Are you sure? We don't have to go back out if you don't want to..."

"No, I w-want to. I'm fine."

He eyes me critically before nodding with a bright smile. "Alrighty! Meet me out there once you're ready!"

I pop up to my room to change back into my snow gear. Instead of teleporting down, I decide to take the stairs to wake me up. When I get back downstairs, Kaminari moves to stand in my way with an unreadable look.

"Your face is all flushed. Should you really be going outside again?"

I let out an exasperated sigh. "Kami, I feel f-fine. I promise."

He watches me for another moment before relenting. "Okay but if you get sick, Shinso will definitely be pissed at us for letting you."

"First, I'm not g-gonna get sick. Second, 'toshi won't be mad at you guys. Going outside is m-my decision."

"If you say so..."

He moves aside and I continue outside. Kirishima is finishing up a snow angel when I appear next to him. He leaps up and puts some distance between us, forming a snowball. I mimic his actions with a light grin, ready to win.

Ten minutes into the fight, I'm struck in the back by someone else's snowball. I spin around to spot Bakugou back from the provisional license training. He tosses another one, smacking me in the face this time.

I try to throw one back in retaliation but am quickly overwhelmed as he teams up with Kirishima to take me down. At some point, I'm knocked onto my back from the constant barrage and decide that laying the ground is far more comfortable than standing.

When the other two teens approach me, I put up my hands by my head in surrender. The cold is finally catching up to me and I can hardly get out my next sentence.

"F-f-fi-fine. I g-gi-gi-ive up."

Kirishima gives Bakugou a high five before pulling me to my feet. I stumble a little at the strength of his pull. Looking over to the ashy blond, I struggle to get out a coherent sentence.

"D-di-di-id y-yo-ou p-pass?"

He answers my question by holding up his new provisional license, a hint of a smile on his features only visible if you know where to look. Before he can object, I give him a quick hug.

"I k-kn-new yo-ou c-co-cou-uld do it."

He scoffs lightly, tugging off his scarf and putting it on me before leading the way towards the dorms to get out of the frigid weather.

"Whatever. Just shut up. You're too damn cold to even talk."

I really love snow. It's really pretty. I just saw it for the first time this past December because we moved farther north.
