"What the hell're you sayin'?! Let's work together!!" Kirishima steps forward, yelling at the older teen.

One of the villains cocks their head at his words, gesturing with a blade. "Yeah, you heard him. Work together, I'll make quick work of you all."

One of the officers speak up suddenly. "It's Setsuno! We won't be able to shoot with this guy around! Heroes, it's up to you!"

The villain- Setsuno- leaps forward aggressively. "The secret's out, eh? Well, no matter. It just makes it easier for me to run wild."

I find myself moving into a defensive stance almost subconsciously.

At my side, Eraserhead grips his scarf. "Not if I have anything to say about it. Drop the sword."

"It's not working?!" The villain stares at his hand incredulously.

Another villain chimes in. "Quirk erasure... Similar to Eri's deterioration quirk. I had heard there was a hero like that out there."

My stomach drops as he pulls out a gun, aiming for Eraserhead. Taking a deep breath, I prepare myself to move us in a moments notice.

Behind me, Fatgum growls. "Your blades and guns won't work on me! They'll sink right into my body! So give it up, for your own sake!"

"Empty threats like that only work on people who hold their own lives dear!"

Suddenly, the three villains are struck and captured by Amajiki's quirk. He snatches away the weapons, breaking them, and I catch a glimpse of his face. Raw determination.

"I'll be your opponent. It's pointless to waste our time taking on these guys. We've got plenty of pro heroes on the premises. This situation..."

Kirishima takes a step forward. "But Amajiki..."

"This is a contest of speed! We cannot afford to waste even a single second! You should keep the pro's quirks in reserve for what's to come! Especially Eraser's! You'll also need the power to break through these twisting passages! And the police with their guns!

Fatgum!

I can shut these three out myself!"

The large pro nods. "Let's get a move on! Through that door!"

I move forward, heading after the others, fully trusting Amajiki's abilities.

One of the villains suddenly become frantic. "Hey-Hey-Hey! Wait up, wait up!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I watch Eraserhead punch one of the villains. "I just looked at all three of them! Seal their movements while my quirk is still in effect!"

"Everyone!"

I skid to a stop at Amakiji's voice.

"Take care of Mirio for me! He'll... definitely do something rash so be sure to help him out!"

We continue through the door at a rushed pace. Kirishima turns to Fatgum as we run. "Fat! You're seriously leaving Amakiji behind like that?! Are you crazy?!"

The hero from the meeting (the one with a personal vendetta against students being involved) scoffs. "He's one of yours, isn't he? Honestly, I'm not sure if it was the best idea to leave it to your judgment."

I tune out the others. While I understand the concern and lack of confidence, it's far too late to question Fatgum's decision now. Amajiki isn't number two for nothing...

Nighteye's voice pulls me from my thoughts as we approach some stairs. "Let's head back up."

I suddenly feel confused at the lack of trouble we're having. At the same time, Eraserhead voices similar thoughts.

"Weird... This guy who can manipulate the underground... he hasn't made a single move yet."

"That's not right! It's not twisting at all!"

"We've been running through the labyrinth without encountering a single obstacle. If he hasn't gotten in our way by now..."

I glance up to the hero, finishing his sentence. "...then m-maybe he can't precisely manipulate the entire underground."

He nods at my words, continuing. "The police force is up above with Suneater. It's possible that maybe his attention is focused over there."

"You're saying his range of control is limited."

"It's just conjecture. Let's say that by 'entering' the underground and 'controlling' it, instead of assimilating the underground, he's moving the surface of its walls, looking and listening. It may be that when he wants to influence a particular area, his actual body is nearby as well. Acting as eyes and ears to observe what is going on..."

At his words, I watch the walls. If he's watching us- The wall suddenly juts out, pushing Eraser and I towards a hole. Panic floods my mind and I frantically reach for the pro to teleport us down the hall.

We're shoved out of the way by Fatgum. My vision whirls and I can't see enough to teleport. On my left, I hear Eraserhead.

"I'm sorry!!"

"Don't worry about it!"

I try to regain my bearings so I can pop to the large hero but he's gone in seconds. Looking around, I'm filled with worry. "Wh-where's Kir- uh Red Riot?!"

"He must have followed Fatgum... It'll be fine, we need to keep moving!"

We continue down the hall only for it to be manipulated again. It's far more aggressive than before. The floor rocks viciously and I lose my footing, knocking against Eraser.

"He's at it again!! Quit this shit already!"

"The walls! The ceiling! The floor! Everything's closing in! We'll be crushed to death!!"

"Lock-Rock!" Nighteye commands.

"Oh, don't act the leader! Cus the cause of this whole debacle is your mismanagement!" The hero, Rock-Lock, smacks his hand to a wall. So that's his name...

"Deadbolt! This side won't shift anymore. Don't complain about how cramped it is- my maximum security deadbolt can't lockdown that many points! This is the limit of my range. Look! He's attacking from another point I didn't lock down! Watch out!!"

Midoriya leaps into the air, kicking the extension of ground to rubble.

Rock-Lock scoffs. "If Fatgum's team had survived, we coulda made our way more smoothly! Eraser!"

"I know!"

He appears to be looking around. Probably for the guy in the walls. He must be showing himself at least a little to see us....

"At this rate, it'll only gradually get worse! We're gonna get cornered eventually!"

I glance over as Midoriya growls. "Like we'd let you stop us here!!"

The room expands abruptly, the ceiling towering above us. My heart drops as something comes crashing down towards the green haired boy.

"Deku!"
