After classes, I ended up sitting near a window in the common area by myself. I felt drained after a whole day of lectures. It's a lot different than the physical training I've gotten used to.
I glance up as Bakugou sits next to me, staring out the window. He's quiet for a moment before speaking. "Sensei said someone heard us fighting last night and thought it was another attack. That was you, right?"
At my lack of response, he scoffs. "I know you have trouble sleeping. Ever since... Ever since Kamino, you've looked tired as shit- not that anyone else has noticed."
I fidget nervously. "S-sorry, you're right... it was me."
"Stop apologizin' for stupid shit all the damn time!" He looks conflicted for a moment before continuing. "I just- I'm... sorry... you worried about that or whatever."
Before I can think of a response, he stands and starts to leave before adding quietly. "Try limeflower tea. It helps."
Then I'm alone again.
The next three days pass quickly and Midoriya joins us for class.
"Now that Midoriya has returned, let's formally talk about the internships. Come inside." The teacher sighs.
"Let's hear first hand from those with personal experience how these internships are different from field training. They have made time in their busy schedules to come and talk to you all, so please listen to what they have to say. These third years rank among the top of all U.A. students.
They're known as The Big Three."
The door opens to reveal three students entering the room. My eyes are drawn to the boy with dark hair and pointy ears. He keeps his eyes to the floor.
"Alright, could you all give us a brief self introduction? Starting with you, Amajiki."
At sensei's words, the boy glances up suddenly. He whispers to the others nervously before spinning around to face the wall. I faintly hear his voice.
"I wanna go home..."
The class is silent for a moment before Kaminari speaks up. "Kinda reminds you of [L/n], doesn't he?"
A few people murmur in agreement until the girl turns to the anxious boy cheerfully. "Hey, Amajiki! Listen to this! Apparently, that's called being 'chicken-hearted'! Even though you're a human! Weird, huh?!"
She turns back to us, gesturing to the teen. "This guy's Tamaki Amajiki, the chicken! And I'm Nejire Hadou! We've come here today because we were asked to talk about the internship!"
Her eyes turn to Shoji. "But, but... Hey, hey, by the way! Why're you wearing a mask? Catch a cold? Or is that the latest fashion?"
Before he can respond she turns to someone else. "Oh, and you! You're Todoroki, right?! Right?! Why do you have a burn on your face like that?"
She asks questions left and right when suddenly her eyes are on me and I drop my gaze. "Ooh! You were one of the kids that got taken, right?! Hey! He's just like you, Amajiki! Look! Look!!"
I hide my face nervously and sensei must finally get tired of watching her harass everyone. "I see you're lacking any sort of rationality."
