[Y/n] has wanted to be a hero for as long as he could remember. The act of helping people filled him with a bright feeling he couldn't explain. Armed with his determination to become a hero and save others, [Y/n] will have to overcome both personal...
Popping back, I find myself without people to walk with. Though... I technically wasn't alone. Wandering the festival, I find a haunted house courtesy of Class C.
Vaguely remembering Hitoshi help build it, I decide to head in without a group.
I make my way down one of the hallways, suddenly regretting that choice. Despite the tension in the building, I can faintly hear Ryu purring from the hoodie.
Abruptly, a bloodied corpse drops from the ceiling and I yelp pitifully, shielding my face.
Glancing back up, I take a hesitant step closer as I recognize the lilac hair.
"Hitoshi?"
We're both silent, our eyes meeting. I almost feel breathless for a moment and subconsciously take another step forward. Then- he smirks teasingly, breaking the spell.
"Ever seen Spiderman...?"
I stutter, trying to ignore my blush.
"Sh-shut up!"
As I move passed him, he laughs and reaches out a hand to pull me closer but I dodge. I find myself desperately trying to brush off the breathlessness as just having been scared moments before.
His quiet snickering follows down the hall, echoing around me.
Escaping the haunted house- and 'toshi-, I decide to look for something both a kitten and I can eat safely. I find a booth selling yakitori. As it's chicken, I assume Ryu can eat it too and I look for a nice place to sit.
Finding a semi secluded spot, I pull the ginger kitten from my pocket and offer him some food. We eat for a while and I somehow figure out that Ryu will sit obediently on my shoulders. With the new development, I go to walk around the festival with him.
Surprisingly, not many people notice him. He stays quiet, aside from purring. I find a blue ribbon at a booth and get it, tying a neat bow around his neck. I decide to skip the beauty contest since I'm not particularly interested.
I'm checking out a booth when someone takes my hand. I turn to see Hitoshi no longer dressed as a dead body. His eyes widen at the sight of Ryu on my shoulders.
"You brought our son to the festival?"
I nod, grinning. "He deserves to have adventures, too."
He looks down with a soft grin, suddenly noticing my clothes. "And you're wearing the hoodie."
Smiling nervously, I drop my gaze. "I like it...reminds me of you..."
"...Good. It's why I gave it to you." He smiles a little brighter before turning his attention to the kitten, cooing quietly. It's only then I realize he never let go of my hand and I struggle to suppress a blush at the contact.
We're interrupted as Eri crashes into my legs. She bounces excited, grinning up at me. "Meraki! Found you!"
I smile softly. "Hey kiddo... wanna meet someone cool?"
She nods as Midoriya and Mirio catch up to her.
I drop Hitoshi's hand to take the kitten from his perch and crouch to Eri's height. Holding him up, I watch her eyes widen.
"This is our kitten, Ryu. Do you wanna hold him? You'll have to be careful."
She nods slowly and I place him gently in her arms. The way she holds him as if he's the most precious thing makes my chest light up.
Midoriya glances between me and Hitoshi, confused. "Our kitten?"
I hum lightly, keeping my eyes on Eri and Ryu. "I mean Kirishima and Bakugou also help with him. He's mine but also theirs. Sensei too kinda."
"It's been staying at the dorms?"
"Mhm."
"And nobody else knows?"
"I mean... now you do."
"I... okay."
At the end of the festival, Midoriya and I head to the gate to see Eri off. The excitement of it all seems to have worn off and she looks more reserved again.
"Thank you for coming to see our show. It was a lot of fun!"
She nods timidly. "...yeah."
I share a look with Midoriya and he nods, addressing the small girl.
"Eri, look at me."
When she looks up, he holds out a candy apple. "Surprise!"
Mirio jumps. "A candy apple! Were they selling those?! I looked everywhere!!"
"After I looked through the program, I thought they might not have any so when I was out shopping I bought the ingredients. Meraki helped me make them since he's done it before!"
Aizawa nods. "Well, don't worry. You'll meet again soon enough."
Eri takes a bite and smiles brightly, giggling. "It's even sweeter."
Smiling softly, I chime in. "We'll make more for you, so you can look forward to that!"
