Santa Baby
"It's cold!" Loz complained, crossing his arms like a child. He stood almost knee deep in the snow while (Y/n) continued to walk.
"It's not that bad." (Y/n) giggled, Loz huffed while he adjusted (Y/n)'s scarf around his neck.
"Yazoo's getting chilly." Loz said, pointing at Yazoo who had (Y/n)'s thick winter coat on with the hood almost covering his eyes. He wasn't even moving and his body was tense while he shivered.
"N-No, I-I'm n-not." Yazoo shivered, glaring at Loz.
"Then why are you wearing (Y/n)'s jacket?" Loz asked with a taunting smirk on his face.
"Shut it." Yazoo hissed.
"Anyway, you two." (Y/n) giggled, "Loz, do you have the axe?"
"Right here." Loz said, holding up the axe.
"Good, now.." (Y/n) trailed off, sweeping her arm out to show the array of pine trees that surrounded them. "Pick a tree!"
Loz and Yazoo looked around at the snow covered trees. Loz looked excited while he held the axe in his hand, Yazoo still shivered while he lazily looked around.
"W-What's t-the p-point o-of t-this a-again?" Yazoo asked, his tone leaked with annoyance.
"It's Christmas!" (Y/n) happily declared, which Loz and Yazoo looked at each other in confusion.
"What's Christmas?" Loz asked, making (Y/n) pause.
"You don't know what Christmas is?" She asked, to which Yazoo and Loz shook their heads.
"Well, I'll explain more once we get back. But first, let's get a christmas tree." (Y/n) said, "So, we have something to put our Christmas presents under."
"Presents?" Loz asked, sounding very interested.
"Yep." (Y/n) smiled, Loz then readied the axe.
"Then let's get chopping!" Loz exclaimed.
So, Loz picked a tree and started to chop away. (Y/n) watched as Yazoo just stood beside her, trying to get his warmth back. (Y/n) had an idea to get a Christmas tree, just so it would make the small house that the three lived in more festive. Of course, the remnants had NO idea on what Christmas really was, so she was going to teach them. But first, she had to get a tree.
"Here," Yazoo said, holding out her coat for her to take. "I think I'm warm enough."
"Are you sure?" (Y/n) asked, with a teasing smile.
"Just shut up, and take the ja-"
"Yazoo, I wouldn't stand there." (Y/n) said, still not taking the jacket.
"Why-" Yazoo was interrupted by Loz yelling,
"Watch out!"
With that, the tree fell but not without sending snow falling towards Yazoo. The snow fell on Yazoo's head and shoulders, instantly falling into his leather trench coat. (Y/n) places her hands in her mouth, trying to hide the growing smile. Yazoo's expression didn't change, he just looked very unimpressed.
"Keep the jacket." (Y/n) said, casually brushing off the small snow pile that was on his shoulder. Yazoo didn't answer, he just shook himself off and placed (Y/n)'s jacket back on.
"I got the tree," Loz said, triumphantly holding the large tree on his shoulder like it was just a twig. "Let's go!"

After the three got back, (Y/n) and Loz started to decorate the tree with the ornaments that (Y/n) had bought earlier that day. Kadaj was out trying to get an errand done, so she wanted to surprise him. Yazoo on the other hand, had a thick blanket around himself that (Y/n) had brought him, she also started to play loud christmas songs.
"I'm ba- why is there a tree in my living room?" Kadaj asked, half way through the door.
“Hi, Kadaj!” Loz waved, “We got a christmas tree!”
“A what?” Kadaj asked, confused,
“Close the damn door, you’re letting the cold air in.” Yazoo snapped, looking back at Kadaj with the blanket over his head like a hood.
“Oh, yeah.” Kadaj mumbled, walking into the house and closing the door.
“(Y/n) was about to tell us a story called..” Loz paused, he then looked over at (Y/n). “What’s the story called again?”
“It’s called the nativity story. Along with a few other christmas stories.” (Y/n) said, continuing to put up the ornaments.
“Yeah!” Loz said, excitedly. “We’re decorating the tree and then she’s going to make us hot drinks!”
Kadaj nodded, he looked down at Yazoo who was in his blanket burrito.
“Why aren’t you festive?” Kadaj asked,
“Because, ‘Baby, it’s cold outside.” Yazoo said, in a very unimpressed, and apathetic tone.
“Aren’t you a ray of sunshine today.” Kadaj sarcastically said, getting a glare from Yazoo in return.
“Leave him alone, Kadaj.” (Y/n) smiled, “I think he looks cute.”
“Thanks, (Y/n).” Yazoo said, in his lazy, aloof tone.
Kadaj then walked up behind (Y/n), he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the side of her head. She giggled as she turned to face him, kissing him on the lips.
“Hello, you.” She said, smiling while he rested his forehead against hers.
“So, you call my brother cute before you even welcome me home?” Kadaj asked with a smirk, “This christmas thing better be good.”
“It is good, because I am on the nice list.” (Y/n) said, Kadaj raised an eyebrow. “You’ll get it once I explain.”
“Then explain away, Love.” Kadaj said, leaning his face against her temple. His lips gently grazed the side of her cheek, while his hair was still slightly cold from the winter weather.
So, explain she did. (Y/n) explained what christmas was, the many cultures and fun little things that happened that the season brought. Loz especially loved hearing the nativity story, it brought a very comforting feeling. She then showed the three how to make hot chocolate with a candy cane in it, which Yazoo very much appreciated. Of course, then came the talk about the presents, Loz was very ecstatic about it. Luckily, she had gotten the three their fair share of gifts. And of course, she had to explain who Santa Claus was.
"How is that realistic?" Yazoo asked, taking the "hood" of his blanket off his head.
"You're asking me what is realistic?" (Y/n) asked, crossing her arms.
"A reindeer that has a glowing red nose, and they can fly?" Yazoo asked, "How is that realistic?"
"Says the one who can summon creatures from shadows." (Y/n) remarked, Yazoo looked away in defeat.
So, the whole day she told them stories about what Christmas was. Of course, they didn't exactly get it. They didn't understand why a holiday could be so significant. Loz loved the idea of gifts and having his brothers together, but the idea of Santa breaking into the house slightly scared him. So, when the evening came, she had to make sure everyone went to bed so she could wrap the presents.
"You know, you really don't have to do this for us." Kadaj said, placing his hands on her shoulders and gently massaging.
"I know, but it's our first holiday together." (Y/n) said, looking up at him. "I just want to make it special."
"I still don't get why it's so special." Kadaj said, leaning down to rest his chin on the top of her head.
"Well, it's just a way to spend time with family and close off the year." (Y/n) said.
"I guess I should've learned about holidays before I got with you," Kadaj said, "If I knew I was going to have you, then I would've put more effort in."
"I think you're doing pretty good." (Y/n) smiled, "But, I think you should go to bed. I need to finish wrapping your present."
"I get a gift?" Kadaj asked, a childlike smile spread across his face.
"How could I not get a gift for my boyfriend?" She asked, looking back at him.
"Now, you're making me look bad." Kadaj teased, kissing the top of her head. "But, I will listen because I know Loz will be up very early to see what you got him."

So, (Y/n) spent all night wrapping the gifts and placing them under the tree. When she finally went to bed, she snuggled close to Kadaj and instantly passed out. They slept all the way till six in the morning, that's when..
"Kadaj." A low whisper broke the silence of the room. But neither (Y/n) or Kadaj woke up. So, the mysterious voice tried again. "Wake up."
(Y/n) started to stir, she opened her eyes and saw a black figure leaning very close to her face. She screamed, making Kadaj jump up and making the figure jump back in surprise.
"What!" Kadaj yelled, feeling (Y/n) look for protection in his side.
"It's just me!" Loz's voice yelled, "I didn't mean to scare you!"
"What are you doing here?" Kadaj asked, angrily. (Y/n) sighed in relief, she detached herself from her boyfriend's side.
"It's Christmas morning." Loz stated, Kadaj sighed in annoyance laying back down in bed.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." (Y/n) said, getting up from the sanctity of the warm bed.
"You're getting up this early?" Kadaj asked, annoyed.
"Merry Christmas, Kadaj." She giggled, giving her boyfriend a peck on the lips. "Come on, Loz. It's time to open presents."
