You Look Happier
"That's the last time I let you do the guest list!" Yuffie yelled, angrily hitting Cloud's arm.
"Why?" Cloud asked, unphased by Yuffie's slap. Yuffie gave him a look of 'are you kidding me'.
"Because you invited Kadaj and his brothers." Yuffie yelled, Cloud still shrugged his shoulders. Yuffie groaned and rolled her eyes. She then stated, "Kadaj and (Y/n) dated."
"So.." Cloud said, obviously not getting what Yuffie was saying.
"(Y/n) and Kadaj broke up!" Yuffie finally said, Cloud's eyes then widened.
"What!" He yelled, "No one told me!"
"Well, now it's too late!" Yuffie groaned, she then walked off to talk to Tifa.
"The goal is to keep Kadaj away from (Y/n)." Yuffie said, in a low and suspicious voice. Making sure that (Y/n) wouldn't hear, Tifa nodded.
"Okay, but what If Kadaj tries to speak to her?" Tifa asked, Yuffie thought for a second.
"We'll play party games!" She declared, Tifa gave her a confused stare.
"What." Tifa asked.
"We'll be so focused on the games, that Kadaj and (Y/n) won't have a chance to talk to eachother." Yuffie said, but Tifa shook her head. Yuffie then got up, congratulating herself on her idea. "It's a genius idea!"
Yuffie then ran off, going to organize the games, leaving a confused Tifa.
"Everyone's here." Vincent said, in a monotone voice. Yuffie smiled, she then pounded into the middle of the room and yelled.
"Can I gave everyone's attention?" She yelled, making the room go silent. She then spoke again. "I have some party games to play, so everyone go sit down!"
Everyone did as they were told, Tifa made sure that (Y/n) didn't see Kadaj, but he and his brothers were there. So, the plan was set. But there was a small flaw in Yuffie's plan...they would have to see eachother.
"Okay everyone," Yuffie then sat a trey of shot glasses filled with hot sauce on a table. "The game is called finish the lyric. There are going to have two people against eachother, and I'm going to play music over the speaker and the song is going to start at a random spot. If you don't answer or if you don't know it, you have to take a shot of hot sauce."
The crowd nodded, Yuffie then called Cloud and (Y/n) up to the front. Both if them walked up, behind the table, Yuffie then ran to the speaker.
"Are you two ready?" She asked, both nodded.
"The first song is called, Jolene!" Yuffie announced, "Guess the lyric, Cloud."
The music then started to play.
🎶 Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, -🎶
The music stopped, Cloud thought for a second.
"Uh..Please don't take him just because you can?" Cloud guessed,
"Correct!" Yuffie yelled, Cloud sighed in relief. "Your turn (Y/n)!"
"Oh god." (Y/n) said, nervously.
"The song is called 'more-!" The music then started.

"I'm that monster in the mirror!" (Y/n) said,
"Correct!" Yuffie yelled, she then turned to Cloud. "If you don't answer fast, you have to drink."

Cloud didn't answer, he looked deep in thought. But he couldn't get it.
"Damn it!" Cloud groaned, he then took the glass of hot sauce and chugged it. The crowd cheered and laughed, but Cloud took his glass and walked off. (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh at Cloud, but now it was her turn.
"Vincent you're up." Yuffie said, Vincent got up and stood beside (Y/n). "Now, it's going to be different, who ever answers the fastest is safe. Now, let's start!"

Vincent went to answer but (Y/n) tried to cover his mouth, but Vincent moved his head. The crowd laughed at this, (Y/n) went to say what the lyric was but Vincent pulled her close and placed his hand over her mouth. She squirmed, trying to get free from his grasp, but it was no use. (Y/n)'s muffled screams and answer was inaudible.
"Some of them want to be abused." Vincent answered,
"Correct!" Yuffie said, trying to not laugh at how (Y/n) looked. Vincent finally let go (Y/n), who playfully screamed because she knew what she had to do. She reached for the glass of hot sauce,
"Ahhh!" She screamed, before downing the hot sauce, making the crowd laugh at her.
(Y/n) sat and watched the other rounds, Loz and Yazoo went against eachother. Yazoo won and Loz had to drink the hot sauce, which he completely underestimated how hot it was. Leading him to take it without any hesitation, but then regretting it and running to get water. Making everyone laugh.
(Y/n) got up, the spice taste still on her tongue. She walked into the back room to grab a drink from the fridge, she couldn't help but feel happy. Dispite seeing Kadaj, she couldn't help but smile at the efforts and the lengths that her friends went to for her. It was very flattering, she only hoped she could do that for them in return.
(Y/n)'s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of someone running into the room and instantly turning the water tap on. She turned around, her bottle of water still in her hand. Her heart dropped, she saw Kadaj. Dispite his desperate attempt to get the spice off his tongue, (Y/n) couldn't help but giggle, getting his attention.
"You lost?" She asked, he looked at her and back at the water and nodded.
"I lost to Cid." He stated, he stood straight up and wiped his mouth.
"At least he didn't cheat. I wish I could say the same for Vincent, what a cheat." (Y/n) remarked, Kadaj smirked.
"Didn't you go to cover his mouth first?" He asked, (Y/n) stopped.
"What are you? A detective?" She asked, sarcastically. Kadaj chuckled, he then leaned against the sink.
"It's been a while." Kadaj remarked, (Y/n) looked up at him. "It's been a while since I've seen you like this."
"Like what?" (Y/n) asked, cocking her heard to the side.
"Happier." Kadaj said, (Y/n) shook her head.
"Learning to laugh again was probably the hardest I've ever had to do."
Kadaj thought for a moment, trying to understand what she meant. (Y/n) took a step back, she then placed her water on the counter.
"Only one thing changed since you left, Kadaj. That's the reason why I'm happier." With that, (Y/n) walked out.
