I Wish I Had Kadaj's Girl
It wouldn't be a problem if it was just (Y/n), it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But, of course, life just loves to mess with him. Yazoo had it all, he was strong, he was a very impressive fighter, his smooth voice was enough to make any girl weak in the knees. He had the looks, and he had the charisma. But one thing he didn't have, was (Y/n).
Yazoo wasn't the one to care about getting into relationships, he never had his eyes on any girl because he was just not into the idea of love. Well, up until Kadaj brought home a girl named (Y/n). Since the very first time he saw her, his heart felt like it was going to burst from his chest. Hell, he couldn't even choke out the words to say 'hi' to her. It just sounded like drunken mumbling and stuttering.
"This is Loz," Kadaj motioned to Loz who excitedly waved to the shy girl.
"Hi, (Y/n)!" Loz greeted, (Y/n) giggled and waved back. That's what Yazoo walked into the room, at first he was focused on his phone."Hey, Loz. Did you-" He then looked up and met eyes with (Y/n), he stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes were wide, while his cheeks flushed pink. He then tried to save himself the embarrassment by finishing asking Loz his question but that didn't go well. "I..do..um..I.."
"Huh?" Loz tilted his head to the side in confusion, Yazoo stopped himself."Uh..anyway," Kadaj continued, his hand wrapped around (Y/n)'s waist. "This is my other brother, Yazoo."
"Hello, Yazoo. It's nice to meet you." (Y/n) smiled, outstretching her hand for Yazoo to shake. But he couldn't move, his limbs felt frozen in place. He forced himself to extend his hand, he grasped her small hand in his."N-N….ice to meet...you." Yazoo stuttered in a low voice. (Y/n) gave him a kind but unsure smile, she then pulled her hand away but Yazoo still held her. She nervously smiled, gently tugging her hand. Yazoo's eyes widened once he realized what he was doing. "I'm s-sorry.
Letting go of her hand.
"It's fine, don't worry about it." She said, reassuringly. Kadaj placed his hands on the girls shoulders, he gave Yazoo a confused look but continued to act normal."Well, you met my brothers. Now, shall I drive you home?" Kadaj asked, the girl nodded.
"Okay." She said, Kadaj then walked her to the front door. (Y/n) turned back to wave at the other two, "It was nice meeting you."
"Bye, (Y/n)!" Loz waved.
"B-bye." Yazoo stuttered. From that day on, Yazoo couldn't get his mind off of her. It was bad enough that he couldn't even get a single word out to talk to her, what made it worse was the fact that she was Kadaj's girl. What also made It worse, was that even Yazoo would admit that they were a good match. She helped Kadaj with a lot of things, and she took care of him. Even taking on the liberty of helping Loz and him, despite the fact that Yazoo couldn't even talk to her. But somehow, she made it work.
(Y/n) was amazing, it was like she could read Yazoo's mind. If he needed anything, he just had the croak out the first syllable and then she would instantly know what he needed. It was easy this way, he kept his distance and didn't say anything to her. But, it was when Kadaj started to ask questions. That's when things got harder for Yazoo.
"I want to talk to you about something." Said Kadaj, walking into the room. Yazoo stopped what he was doing and faced his brother.
"What is it?" He asked, Kadaj sat down beside him.
"I've noticed something about you. You're very talkative when we have company over, but when (Y/n) comes over..you start stuttering like the way Loz does when he's trying to read." Kadaj said, earning a 'Hey!' From Loz, who was in the kitchen. But, Kadaj continued. "Do you have a problem with her?"Yazoo didn't know what to say, of course he had a problem. But it wasn't (Y/n), hell, maybe it was. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, she captured his heart since the first time he saw her. Now, she was all he ever thought of. He even imagined being with (Y/n), and doing romantic things with her. He wanted to feel her soft lips on his, her arms wrapped around him. He was so jealous of Kadaj, it just made his stomach turn every time he caught them kissing. It made him- Oh yeah, he was talking to Kadaj.
"Uh.." Yazoo stopped, forgetting what this whole conversation was about. "What did you say again?"
Kadaj sighed, shaking his head.
"Do you have a problem with (Y/n)?"
"N-No, she's p-perfect." Yazoo stuttered truthfully, Kadaj gave Yazoo a stare of "are you sure?"
"That doesn't explain the way you're acting around her." Kadaj said, Yazoo shrugged.
"It's this charisma, I need to keep it fresh when meeting new people." Yazoo said, "fresh"? Did he really just say that?
"Well, alright then." Kadaj said, still not convinced.Well, he was lucky that he got out of that. But now that Kadaj was catching on, he had to act differently now. Which meant actually talking to her, which gave him butterflies in his stomach. If only Kadaj was just as gullible as Loz, then Yazoo wouldn't have any problem. But, Kadaj was smart, and knew exactly when something was up. So, here goes nothing.
(Y/n) was in the kitchen, talking with Loz. Yazoo thought it would be a good time to try and say at least more than one word to her. Getting over his feelings of bashfulness was hard, but he could do it. But one thing he couldn't do, was get over the pure, agonizing jealousy. He knew he had no place to be jealous, because she wasn't his. But, it sure would've been easier if Yazoo got to her first. To put it plain and simple, he wanted Kadaj's girl.
"Oh, Yazoo!" (Y/n) said, excitedly. "It's good to see you."
Yazoo's cheeks started to heat up, his cool, aloof stature started to crumble. His knees started to buckle and his tongue became tied.
"Abandon mission!" He mentally yelled, alarm bells going off in his head. "For fucks sa-""Loz and I were just talking about you." (Y/n) said, placing her hand on Yazoo's arm.
"Yeah, Yazoo!" Loz exclaimed, "I was telling her the time you flew straight through a helicopter!"
"Yeah, I was on the edge of my seat while he was talking. You're amazing, Yazoo!" (Y/n) said, a genuine smile of pure wonder and joy on her face. Was she really saying this? Loz told her about that? She was impressed? She thought he was amazing? His heart felt like it beating so fast that it would explode with pure joy. Yes, it was a small compliment, but it felt like a billion compliments coming from her. The most exciting thing about this, that was about to send Yazoo to the floor, was the fact that she was still clinging to his arm.
"Oh," (Y/n) said, suddenly. "I made soup. Loz chose the meal."
"Yeah, you have to try her noodles, Yazoo! It's amazing." Loz praised, making (Y/n) blush.
"Well, sit down. I'll get you a bowl." (Y/n) said, her hand leaving his arm. Yazoo had to stop his reflexes from grabbing her small hand, so he could have just a couple more seconds of her warmth on him."Anyway, I should head out soon." (Y/n) said, placing a bowl in front of Yazoo. "Kadaj wanted to meet me in town."
"Do you want us to drive you?" Loz asked, but (Y/n) shook her head.
"No, thank you. I really love the scenery here, I wouldn't mind walking." (Y/n) said, she turned to Yazoo whose jaw was clenched. She placed her hand on his hand, giving a look of concern. "Are you okay?"Yazoo's eyes widened slightly, he stared into her eyes.
"Y-Y...es." He choked out, (Y/n) smiled. She turned her attention back to Loz, who started to tell more stories of their adventures.Yazoo wanted to slap himself, so much for saying more than two words. He could barely even choke out one, how pathetic. Just one look, reduced him to a stuttering fool. Yazoo watched as she got up, putting on her coat and adjusting her bag. Then, there was a sudden impact of sudden loneliness. Yes, she wasn't his. But, he loved her presence.
"Anyway, I should go." (Y/n) said, about to walk away.
"Bye, (Y/n)!" Loz said, waving. Now was just chance, Yazoo took a deep breath and swallowed his pride.
"B-Be safe, (Y/n)." He said, (Y/n) stopped and looked at him. Her shocked expression then turned Into one of joy and appreciation. She excitedly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his close. She then leaned over and kissed his cheek, giving one final hug before pulling away. Leaving behind a stunned Yazoo.
"Bye, guys!" She waved, skipping out of the kitchen and out the front door, making sure to close it behind her.The loud bang then filled the room, with the sound of a spoon and dish being hit together.
"Yazoo?!" Loz yelled, his eyes wide as he looked at his brother who must've fainted. Yazoo had his face in the bowl of noodles, his mind was fuzzy while his head felt like it was spinning. His heart felt like the wings of a hummingbird, his stomach felt as if millions of butterflies were going off.
Yazoo's head slowly rose from the bowl of noodles, with a very confused and concerned Loz staring at him wide eyed. The only thought that entered his mind was,
"I wish I had Kadaj's girl."
