He Want's A Fight, Now He's Got one

Two miles out of Midgar, not enough time for the cops to show up. Two miles until he reached her, and she knew that they were on a one way trip to hell. The only thing that was going to separate the two before he reached her, was an old wooden door. Yazoo wasn't going to hold back, but neither was she.

She cocked back her shotgun, while she sat by the door. (Y/n) placed one of the kitchen chairs almost just in front of the door, she had her shotgun on her lap and a cigarette laced between her two fingers. Her heart raced with excitement and anticipation, it was like she could already feel the kickback of the gun. Who knew that a love story could turn into a nightmare, then turn into a showdown?

He still hadn't shown up yet, but it didn't matter. She knew he would be there soon, the sun was going down now. But still, she stayed with her finger glued to that trigger. The front door was unlocked, just for convenience sake. Yazoo was probably getting a talk from Loz, hoping he would change his mind. But, she knew he wouldn't.

Their relationship was picture perfect, Yazoo was everything she ever dreamed of. It was just a normal run of the mill relationship, date nights every so often. Days where they stayed in and just relaxed on the couch, which would usually end up in sex at the end of the night. It was perfect, well, until he changed.

He became a different man, as if a switch just got flipped. He was violent, he didn't yell because he didn't need to. He knew just how to scare her, it just took a glance and she was terrified. It became frequent when he would lay a hand on her, which made her afraid of his touch. But then, the switch would get flipped again and he was gentle and loving again. It would be back to normal, but then it became a pattern.

"I love you." He would whisper, while tending to the bruise on her face. "You know that I love you, right?"
"Of course, I do." She would whisper back, only able to see out of one eye.
"That's my girl." He would praise, making her heart flutter.

That was his trick, he knew exactly how to get her back and how to play every single right note to make her fall back in love with him again. It wasn't until recently, where the fighting went from zero to one hundred within seconds. But this time, she hit him back, hard. He was shocked, but then his expression twisted into a smirk.

"You finally learned to hit back, little girl." He teased, placing a hand on the spot where she had hit him. "I'm genuinely surprised. You have quite a punch, it hurts."
"F-Fuck you!" She yelled, getting up from the ground.
"Oh?" He asked, "That can be arranged."

That's how the fight started, it became so out of the hand that the cops were called. They showed up, and separated the two. Yazoo left, but not without sending her a sly smirk. Which chilled her to her very core.

So, now she waited for him to come back. She knew that he would, and she knew that Loz wasn't going to be able to stop him. He slapped her and shook her around like a ragdoll, now she wanted revenge. He wants a fight, now he's got one.

It was late, around midnight when she heard the sound of his bike pulling up to the house. She raised the gun to her shoulder, but not before putting out her last cigarette. (Y/n) heard the sounds of his footsteps coming up the stairs and effortlessly gliding across the front porch. Then, the door knob slowly turned.

Yazoo stepped in, he looked up and was instantly met with (Y/n), gun raised to her shoulder. Momentarily, his eyes widened in shock but then went back to a playful glance. He noticed the smell of cigarettes, he walked further into the house.

"My sweet, you know I hate it when you smoke those." He gently said, "They'll hurt your pretty lungs."
"I think I'll survive." She stated, "I survived you, so I think I can survive a few cancer sticks."
Yazoo lightly chuckled,
"My, little girl is finally able to stand up for herself?" He playfully asked, (Y/n) nodded.
"I'll give you ten seconds to get out of here, or I'll see how well my aim is." She warned, her finger lacing the trigger.

Yazoo then reached behind him, and pulled out his gun. He pointed right back at her, but her hardened gaze didn't waver.

"I believe we've reached an impasse." Yazoo said, "Are you sure you want to go through with this?"
"You'll find out when I pull the trigger." She said, she then pulled the trigger. She aimed at the door beside his head, Yazoo quickly moved out of the way, nearly avoiding the bullet. Pieces of wood flew past him, while the door made a loud cracking sound. Yazoo took a second to collect himself, he straightened up and gave her an impressed smile.

"Where was this fire before?" He asked, "You surprise me, my sweet (Y/n)."
"You ain't seen me crazy yet." She said, cocking her shotgun, and once again raising it to her shoulder.

Yazoo smirked, he raised his gun again and sighed.
"We would've been one hell of a pair." He said, his finger falling over the trigger.
"I'm going to show you what this little girl is made of." She said, Yazoo nodded.
"You better, babygirl." He said, the words effortlessly rolled off his tongue.

Under the starry sky, under the full moon. Two lonely shots rang through the night air.
