It gets worse every night
"I have to work, Kadaj!" (Y/n) yelled, putting her purse strap on her shoulder.
"I don't see why you have to wear that." Kadaj said, motioning to the skin tight, black dress, with an open back and a very open chest.
"It's my work uniform." (Y/n) stated while rolling her eyea, she turned around and started to walk towards the door. Kadaj, not happy about the progress of this conversation, followed her.
"I wish you would take the night off, It would save me the effort of tearing off every man's head who looks your way." Kadaj said, be casually put his arm around her waist while they walked, keeping his eyes on the men who passed by the two. (Y/n) giggled, leaning into his side.
"You don't have to accompany me at work, I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself."
"I know you can, but waiting on drunken men does not sit well with me." Kadaj said, looking down at (Y/n).
"Well, just promise you won't kill anyone tonight." She replyed.
"Fine."(Y/n) started her usual routine, clean the cups, wipe down the bar, then start bringing men their drinks. She would casually put her tray on her hip and wait for someone to call her over. She had a fair share of eyes on her, but obviously non that would watch her as much as her own boyfriend. Kadaj, staying in his usual spot, would watch (Y/n) and make sure no men would look for too long or grab at her. The times it did happen, lead to a hospital trips and men running out in fear of Kadaj. So, Kadaj did have a reputation for being overprotective. But, let's be real..he didn't care.
"Hey, sexy." A large man cooed, squeezing (Y/n)'s ass. (Y/n) yipped, she instantly swatted his hand away, which lead to the man trying to grab her ass again. (Y/n) then felt another arm firmly grip her arm and pull her away from the man, she then heard a thud and people gasp In shock. (Y/n) turned around and saw Kadaj, he was looking down at the man, his face in an angry expression. The man, who had a bloody nose, still layed on the ground.
"Just be grateful that you still have your hand." Kadaj stated, pointing down threateningly at the man. He then straightened back up and put his arm around (Y/n), he then lead her back to the bar.
"Are you okay?" He asked, putting his hands on her shoulders, (Y/n) smiled gratefully.
"I'm fine, thank you." She leaned in and kissed his cheek. "But did you have to be so rough?"
"He touched what was mine." Kadaj said flatly, (Y/n) giggled.Anyway, (Y/n) would do her usual rounds, which lead to refilling drinks and bringing drinks.
"Waitress! Refill!" A man yelled, putting up his big beer mug. (Y/n) rolled her eyes, grabbing her tray and a pitcher of beer, she then made her way over to the man.
"Hey, beautiful!" The man spewed, in his drunken state, he then held up his glass for her to pour the beer into. (Y/n) poured the beer and went to turn away, but the man grabbed her wrist with his other hand. (Y/n) let out a small sound of shock, she then tried to pull away. But the man didn't loosed his grip, he continued to hold her and snake his arm up her side.
"L-Let me go!" She said, trying not to make a scene. "P-please."
(Y/n), now feeling the man's hand tracing the bottom of her breast, took the pitcher of beer and hit it across the mans head. The man, still having a grip on her wrist, looked at her with an angry expression. His hair was drenched with beer, while the side of his head was slightly bleeding.
"You little sl-"
"Is that your hand on my girlfriend?" A voice said, getting the attention of the two. The man instantly let go of (Y/n)'s wrist, looked at Kadaj in fear.
"N-no." The man stuttered, backing up. Kadaj continued to walk towards the two, his expression was clear, he was pissed and very unimpressed.
"Really? Because I saw you holding her and about to yell some profanity as her." Kadaj said, stopping in front of (Y/n).
"N-no, it was a misunderstanding. It won't happen again." The man said, he then turned to (Y/n). "I'm sorry ma'am."
"I forgive you." (Y/n) said, a tiny smile on her face. Kadaj, still not happy about the whole ordeal, still pushed.
"A misunderstanding? So, you think I didn't know what I was looking at?" Kadaj asked, taking a step closer to the already terrified man.
"N-no! You just didn't get-" the man was then cut off by Kadaj.
"So, you think I'm stupid?" Kadaj pressed, making the man become even more nervous.
"No!" The man yelled. (Y/n) then stepped In, putting her hand on Kadaj's shoulder.
"Kadaj, it's fine."
"It is not okay, what makes this guy think it's okay to grab you?!" Kadaj asked, his expression still angry. (Y/n) didn't answer, she gave Kadaj a look of 'it's okay.', which made Kadaj's expression soften. Kadaj turned back to the man,
"Get out of here."
The man instantly grabbed his coat and ran out of the bar."Thank you." (Y/n) leaned into her boyfriend, who put his arm around her.
"It's getting worse every night." Kadaj stated, (Y/n) nodded. "I wish you would quit this job."
"Don't start this again, Kadaj." (Y/n) complained, she pulled out of her boyfriend's grasp, she started to walk back to the bar.
"Is it bad that I want you to be safe?" Kadaj asked, following her.
"It's my job, Kadaj. Don't make this harder for me." (Y/n) said, going behind the bar and facing him again, picking up a cup and cleaning it.
"I can take care of you, it saves you from being touched by filthy, drunk men." Kadaj said, sitting on the bar stool.
"You know I love working, and it puts too much pressure on you." (Y/n) said, she put the cup down and picked up another.
"That dosen't matter, I want to provide for you." Kadaj insisted, "If you want to work, at least find a job that's safer."
(Y/n) paused, he did have a point.
"You have a point," (Y/n) said, she then put down her wash cloth. "I'm going to clock out early."
"That's my girl." Kadaj smiled, (Y/n) playfully rolled her eyes and kissed his cheek.
