Found you
Why did she have to live so far out of town? If she lived closer to the city, she would be so much safer. The cops would've been called, and she would've been safe. But nope, she lived on the outskirts of Midgar, far away from any real help. It was at least a two hour walk to the city, it was too far for her to run. She estimated that the cops probably wouldn't even get here in time, well they would, if he didn't kill the power.
"Oh, my (Y/n)." His sadistic voice sang, from the other side of the door. (Y/n) still kept her body weight on the door, locking It in an attempt to keep him on that side of the door. Then, a polite knock was heard. "Let me in, Love."
"P-Please, go away." She squeaked, backing away from the door.
"How rude, you are. It's not polite to let guests wait in the cold." Kadaj said, (Y/n) couldn't see his face but she could feel his lips turning into a twisted grin."K-Kadaj, please." She pleaded, "I don't want to go with you."
"But Love, we could live happily ever after." Kadaj sang, his tone not at all bothered by her refusal.
"Go away, Kadaj. P-Please." She tried again, she could hear him sigh.
"I guess," He paused, "I'm going to have to take you by force."With that, Kadaj instantly slashed at the door. The blade of the sword peaking out on (Y/n)'s end, she screamed. Running to the upstairs for any sort of cover or hiding place. While she ran, she could hear the sword continue to make its dent through her front door. She ran into the spare bedroom, locking behind her. (Y/n) turned on her heels and rummaged through the side drawers that were by the bed, she managed to find a screwdriver.
Clutching her only weapon she had, she instantly tried to find any other way to escape. She made her way to the window, she opened it and looked down. It was quite a ways down, but she could make that jump. She was about to swing her legs over, but then she heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Her heart raced, her limbs started to shake.
"(Y/n), my Love. Where are you?" Kadaj's voice echoed through the walls of her house, his tone sounded like he was enjoying this game of cat and mouse. He was so unphased by her fear, her fear of him. Hell, be basked in the glory of making her genuinely fear him. This was all just a game to him, a game that he was surely going to win.
(Y/n) could hear the blades of his sword start to graze against the locked door, then the doorknob started to move. (Y/n) rushed to the door, placing her hand on the knob so he wouldn't get in.
"There you are, Love. Thought I lost you there, for a moment." Kadaj said in a crookedly relieved tone.
"Please, leave me alone. I didn't do anything!" (Y/n) pleaded, she could hear Kadaj let out a small chuckle.
"Of course, you didn't do anything." Kadaj said she could hear his blade glide against the door again. "I just want you."
"But, why do you want me, Kadaj? You can have any pretty girl you want." (Y/n) said, looking back at her exit. She could hear Kadak chuckle again."I only have eyes for you, Love." Kadaj said, (Y/n) turned back to the door. "No other one can compare to you."
"R-Really?" She stuttered, placing her hand on the doorknob.
"Yes, Love. You're everything I ever wanted." Kadaj said, taking his sword away from the door. (Y/n) sighed, she turned to the window and looked back at the door. Her shaking fingers gripped the doorknob, slowly unlocking it and turning it.She opened the door, revealing a slightly stunned Kadaj. Stepping forward, she couldn't help but keep her head down and her eyes glued to the ground. Her palms were sweating, her legs felt like jelly.
"D-Did you really mean that?" She asked, looking up at Kadaj. Kadaj's expression changed into a soft smile, he raised his hand to cup her cheek.
"Of course, I did." He said. He brought her closer to him. Their bodies coming together, she still looked terrified but didn't move. (Y/n) smiled, she locked eyes with Kadaj. They were so close, inches away from touching their lips together. His fingers traced her cheeks, gently rubbing her jawline. She leaned Into his touch, her legs still shaking. (Y/n) could see Kadaj's guard coming down, he was just so focused on her face. In a flash, she drove the screwdriver into his stomach, his expression turned into one of shock instead of one in pain. She moved away from his grip, the screwdriver now stuck In his abdomen.
(Y/n) then kicked him, sending him to the ground. Not wanting to stick around, she turned and bounded down the stairs. The agony filled cries echoed the whole house, in a sickening way she could tell it wasn't because of the wound she gave him.
"(Y/n)!" Kadaj screamed, but (Y/n) had already ran out of what remained of the front door. She turned towards the forest, pushing her way past branches and bushes. She could still hear Kadaj yelling her name, but she didn't care. She continued to run, wanting to get as far away from him as possible. His desperate cries sounded like a ghost, it followed her through the wind.
Her chest was burning, her legs already felt like they were on fire. (Y/n) turned around, not seeing anything other than trees. She slowed her pace, no longer able to hear his screams. She looked down at her hands, she saw nothing. Which was odd, because she could've sworn that she felt Kadaj's blood leak onto her. But, her hands were as clean as if she just washed them.
(Y/n) stopped, knowing she was a safe distance away from him. She sat down near a tree, using it as support for her back. Her mind was filled with what had just unfolded, would Kadaj try looking for her again? Even if he does, would he be trying to kill her now? Whatever the outcome was, she felt safe because she was now away from him. Away from that monster.
She rested her head on the tree, she was so riled up by Kadaj that she forgot how tired she was. (Y/n) had been worried sick about Kadaj, that she kept herself awake for days. She still never understood why he wanted her, or why he would even focus on her? She didn't know, whatever sick, twisted thing Kadaj was thinking about. She didn't want any part of it.
Whatever Kadaj wanted, she didn't want to even think about being a part of it. But, her mind wanted to know what he wanted her. Out of all the girls In Midgar, why did he want her? How could she possibly benefit him? Well, whatever the reason was, she was too afraid to even think of what he would do.
(Y/n) closed her eyes, feeling the light breeze that made its way through the trees. Her breathing was finally under control, and her heart stopped racing. The lump in her throat was now gone, but that looming feeling of fear still lingered. It was like he was watching her, despite her being so far away. He was her ghost, he scared her so much that being alone made her feel like he was watching her.
She opened her eyes slowly, but then she could see something in her peripherals. She turned and saw black smoke, it lingered along the ground like liquid shadows. (Y/n) got up, her heart racing. The smoke flowed like water, it was searching for something. She started to back away, fear coming over her. She went to turn and run, but when she turned she felt hands in her shoulders.
"Found you, Love." His crooked voice said, (Y/n) came face to face with his snake like eyes.
