While the movie continued to play, there were small sounds of footsteps that were constantly approaching the kitchen and then the living room. At first, no one noticed it until the T.V was quiet enough to hear the footsteps. Tifa was the first, she then paused the movie waiting to hear the sound again. No one knew what was going on until the footsteps sounded like someone was running into the living room where they were. (Y/n) clung tightly to Kadaj, Tifa then got up.
"Someone come with me to check." She said, no one moved. (Y/n) then let go of Kadaj's jacket.
"I'll go." She said, getting up and following Tifa to the kitchen.
There was nothing out of the ordinary, just the normal kitchen. Nothing was out of place, there wasn't even the sound of the house settling.
"I don't see anything out of place, do you?" Tifa asked, (Y/n) shook her head.
"No, maybe it was just our nerves from the movie." (Y/n) said, Tifa nodded in agreement.
The girls were about the walk out, but then a loud knocking sound came from the door leading to the basement. Tifa gave (Y/n) a look of confusion, she then walked over to the door. The knock continued, but this time louder, making both girls jump. Tifa then swiftly opened the door, at first they didn't see anything except for rickety old stairs. Tifa was about to close the door, but then there was the sound of nails on wood floor.
Tifa and (Y/n) looked back, Tifa opened the door wider. This revealed something low to the ground while it made its way up the stairs, a low growl sounded to be on the back of its throat. It then looked up at the girls, it's face was misshapen, like a goat, it's eyes were a bloody red, it's body looked to be low and ready to pounce. It inched its way up the stairs, the low growl now turned into a loud roar that sounded like it came straight from the pits of hell.
(Y/n) and Tifa screamed, both girls turned around and ran to the front door. Scaring the hell out of everyone in the living room, not bothering to explain. Tifa and (Y/n) ran straight for the front door and ran out into the night. Everyone stood up, confused. That's when Yuffie looked into the kitchen to see a large black hand appear from the corner, she screamed and pointed to it, and then instantly ran to join the girls outside. Everyone turned and saw the hand, this led to everyone booking it outside.
Cloud slammed the door shut, then joining everyone else. The three girls were huddled together, holding each other.
"W-What was that?" Cloud asked, trying to not show how scared he was.
"T-There was something coming up the stairs, it screamed at us." Tifa managed to stutter out.
"I never heard anything like that before." (Y/n) added.
"Stuff like that isn't real." Vincent said, "It just doesn't exist."
"Then explain why you ran out with the rest of us?" Yuffie countered.
"If you don't believe us, then you five men go back inside and prove that no one is inside." Tifa said, (Y/n) nodded.
"Fine." Vincent said, Cloud turned to the three girls who looked absolutely terrified. But he still followed Vincent, both Cloud and Vincent stopped and looked at the three remnants. Kadaj and Yazoo joined the two, while Loz refused to move.
"I-I don't want to go." Loz said, visible fear on his face.
"Come on, Loz." Yazoo said, but Loz shook his head.
"What if there is something in there?" Loz asked, Yazoo rolled his eyes.
"Then I'll trip you while the rest of us run out, now come on." Yazoo said, Loz gave his brother a look of betrayal and hurt.
"Yazoo!" Loz protested.
"That's not helping him join us." Kadaj said, nudging Yazoo, who just rolled his eyes again.
"Fine," Yazoo said, "Loz if you don't come with us, I'll make you sleep downstairs."
Loz's eyes widened in fear and shock, he then hastily walked to join the rest of the men.
"Fine." Loz's voice said weakly, like he was about to cry. Vincent then opened the door, and all the men went back into the house.
