How Wonderful Life Is, While You're In The World
"You're suffocating me!" Kadaj yelled, (Y/n) had tears in her eyes.
"I just trying to care for you!" (Y/n) defended herself.
"Then stop!" Kadaj yelled, (Y/n) shook her head.
"I love you, Kadaj. I'm sorry, but I'm always going to worry about you." (Y/n) said, Kadaj shook his head.
Kadaj had started to become suffocated, well..in his own mind he felt that way. Ever since (Y/n) had entered his life, she showed him that she cared for him and loved him. He appreciated it, but something in him wasn't satisfied. He missed how it used to be, how him and his brothers used to be free and how people feared him. When he married (Y/n), the people of Midgar treated him like he was a hero. But, he wasn't a hero, he was going to destroy the world. But little by little, he wasn't the man he used to be. He had now hit his breaking point.
"I just want you to go away!" Kadaj yelled, "I wish you would just go away and leave me alone!"
"Kadaj.." (Y/n) said, hurt.
"I wish I never married you!" Kadaj yelled, (Y/n) had tears running down her face.
"Fine." She said, she then turned away.
But then she stopped moving, Kadaj rolled his eyes.
"I thought you were going." He said, but she didn't move. He rolled his eyes again and walked towards her, he put a hand on her shoulder but she was as stiff as and cold as stone.
"(Y/n)?" He asked, he turned to her and saw that her eyes were closed and tears were frozen in place. "(Y/n)?" He tried again, but nothing. He tried to shake her, but he couldn't even move her. His heart started to pound,
"What the hell is going on?" He asked himself. He stepped away from her, he turned around and walked into their livingroom, where their cat was in the middle of jumping from one couch to another. But, he saw a women there, who was staring at the cat.
"Uh, who are you?" Kadaj asked, moving towards the women. The women whipped around.
"Oh! Sorry, I just love cats." She joked, she then took of her hood. Kadaj gave her a weird look. "I'm Cassidy, and I am here to grant you your wish!"
"My wish?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy nodded, she then walked passed him, her black cape flowing behind her. She then approached (Y/n).
"You wished for her to go away and you wished you never married her. So, here I am." (Y/n) said, smiling. Kadaj didn't know what to say, so Cassidy walked up to him and put her arm around him. "I know you men like your freedom, so I'm going to take you on a journey."
"A journey?" Kadaj questioned, looking down at her.
"Yep, I am going to show you three outcomes. If you refused to begin dating her, another one is if you continue down this road, the last one is if you change your heart and apologize to her." Cassidy said, Kadaj nodded.
"I should be more weirded by this, but I'm just in shock." Kadaj said, (Y/n) laughed.
"I love getting people like that." She then let go of Kadaj and snapped her fingers. A portal popped up, she then turned back to him. "Let's go, let's go see what happens if you don't let her into your life."
Kadaj nodded, he felt his heart pound. Cassidy then grabbed his hand and pulled him Into the portal.
"We're here!" Cassidy said, happily. So, there they were. In the middle of Midgar, Kadaj looked at the busy streets. "The cool part too, is that no one can see, hear, or feel us."
(Y/n) proved her point by putting her arm out, only to have a man walk right through it.
"Unreal." Kadaj said, shocked. Cassidy then motioned for him to turn around, he did as he was told and saw him and his brothers. She then pulled Kadaj to the scene, Kadaj couldn't believe his eyes. It was him, he was on his motorcycle while Yazoo and Loz were talking.
"You know, the one with the long hair is kinda cute." Cassidy said, she walked around Yazoo.
"Yazoo?" Kadaj questioned, Cassidy nodded, Kadaj rolled his eyes.
"Don't look now, but here comes your girl." Cassidy said, pointing behind him.
There she was, (Y/n). She walk walked passed Loz, which caught both of the Kadaj's eyes.
"Wow." Both of them said at the same time. (Y/n) teasingly nudged Kadaj's side.
"Remember, he-you, are not going to go after her. She's just a pretty face in a crowd, you're going to see what your future has in store if she never entered your life."
"Y-yeah, I remember." Kadaj stuttered, "I just forgot this feeling, she was just so beautiful that she took my breath away."
"But looks wasn't enough for you to stay, was it?" Cassidy asked, Kadaj looked at her.
"What do you mean?"
"She loved you enough to marry you, and to worry about you." Cassidy said, she then shook her head. "Some men are lucky enough to just get a smile from their wives."
"But you don't understand, she was just so suffocating." Kadaj tried fo defend himself. (Y/n) crossed ger arms and made a "mmhm" face. "Don't give me that look."
"Men do a lot, but you guys are dumber then a box of rocks!" Cassidy said, "Listen, sweetie. Suffocating is going through your phone and checking your texts. She asked when you would be back and if she should cook for you."
"Ugh!" Kadaj groaned, Cassidy rolled her eyes.
"Men!" She said, she then snapped her fingers again and another portal popped up. "Let's see what this future has for you."
"Fine." Kadaj sighed, walking behind Cassidy into the portal.
Once Kadaj exited the portal, he saw Cloud Strife, he was holding Kadaj's body.
"What's happening?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy nodded.
"You're dying Kadaj." She said, Kadaj's heart sank.
"What?" He said, frantically.
"You tried to fulfill your plan, you brought back Sephiroth, but he was defeated. So, here you are. Dying." Cassidy said.
"So, Cloud kills me?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy nodded, but then shook her head.
"What do you mean?" Kadaj asked, turning towards Cassidy.
"Cloud fought Sephiroth, but (Y/n) was the one that delivered the final blow." Cassidy said, Kadaj looked back at the scene, his eyes wide with shock. He saw someone standing behind Cloud, it was (Y/n). Once Kadaj had disappeared into the life stream, Cloud got up and turned towards her.
"I don't think you want to see this next part." Cassidy said, Kadaj instinctually looked back at the scene. He saw (Y/n) smile up at Cloud, Cloud put his hand on (Y/n)'s cheek and leaned down and kissed her. Kadaj's heart was pounding, his hands started to sweat.
"I think we should go." Kadaj said, Cassidy nodded.
"On to choice number two." Cassidy said, snapping her fingers and making another portal appear. "Let's go."
They were back in Kadaj's house, (Y/n) was walking away from him.
"We couldn't have started off here?" Kadaj asked, annoyed.
"It's called THE PAST for a reason!" Cassidy said, glaring at Kadaj.
"You never told me what happened to my brothers." Kadaj said, Cassidy sighed.
"They killed themselves after you died." Cassidy said, she put an arm on Kadaj. "That was the freedom you wanted. People feared you, but the law of nature dictates that someone always stops the bad."
Kadaj didn't answer, he nodded but her words echoed in his mind.
"But now, let's you got the two possible outcomes that come out of this one." Cassidy said, Kadaj stopped her before she snapped her fingers.
"Two out comes?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy smiled and nodded. She then snapped her fingers.
The scene started to play through again, (Y/n) and Kadaj arguing. (Y/n) pulled out popcorn, which Kadaj glared at her.
"Really?" He asked, sarcastically. (Y/n) shrugged,
"You try doing this, this is the first time I've ate today!" Cassidy defended herself. "But anyway! You're going to let her walk away in this outcome, and you're going to see the outcome."
Kadaj looked at (Y/n)'s face, it was so full or sorrow, he wanted to reach out and hold her.
"She really does love you." Cassidy said, "I've seen messed up love stories, but I've never seen love as strong as hers."
"I don't doubt that." Kadaj chuckled, "Since day one, she made sure I was fed, she showed me what real love was. I didn't even know what the concept of marriage was, but when she told me, I knew I wanted to marry her." Kadaj said, he smiled at that. He then turned to Cassidy, who had her hands on her hips and making the "mmhm" face.
"Yet, you're going to leave her because you want something that can be achieved by going on a weekend trip?" Cassidy said, "I'm calling you out on your bullshit, Kadaj. She loves you, and you wanna fuck that up for something that can easily be solved with communication? Because Boy, you trouble!"
Kadaj blinked, trying to comprehend what Cassidy had just said. Kadaj tried to defend himself, but Cassidy put her finger to his lip, shushing him.
"You wished that you never married her." Cassidy said, she put her hands on her hips once more. "Props to her for putting up with you, because I would leave you so FAST!"
Kadaj rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I get it. I'm an awful husband. I completely regret what I said." Kadaj looked back at himself, his own words started to haunt him.
"Let's go see what your future has in store." Cassidy said, "But..be prepared."
"What. Why?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy just snapped her fingers and stepped through the portal.
Kadaj saw the ruins of the outer slums, he saw Cloud, who was standing by his motorcycle. He then saw himself standing on a a pile of broken concrete. He then saw (Y/n) who was yelling at him, Kadaj couldn't make out what she was saying.
"What's going on here?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy just motioned for him to see. Kadaj saw himself attack Cloud, (Y/n) jumped out of the way. But she followed Cloud, who was now fighting Kadaj.
"She still loved you, so she wanted to try and bring you back home, but you didn't listen. You thought her and Cloud had and affair, so she told you news. You sadly took it the wrong way, and um.." Cassidy stopped talking. Kadaj looked back at the fighting, only to see (Y/n) throw herself between him and Cloud. She was then stabbed through the torso, Kadaj screamed. Cassidy covered her eyes.
"Take me back! Please!" Kadaj pleaded, "I don't want to see this anymore, Cassidy please!"
Cassidy nodded, she then snapped her fingers.
Kadaj and Cassidy were back in Kadaj's kitchen, Kadaj had tears running down his face. He saw (Y/n) still frozen, he ran to her and hugged her frozen frame.
"Kadaj." Cassidy tried to comfort him.
"Is that really my future?" Kadaj asked, turning to Cassidy.
"If you choose that path." Cassidy said, she then gave him a caring smile. "I think you should see this next one."
"Is she alive in this one?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy nodded.
"Come on." Cassidy offered Kadaj her hand, he hesitated but took her hand. She then snapped, and they were off.
The sun was so bright, Kadaj had to shield his eyes.
"Where are we?" Kadaj asked, Cassidy smiled and pointed to a small house. Kadaj didn't know whose house that was, but he followed Cassidy. She led him to the porch, she then motioned for him to look at a very, alive (Y/n). Kadaj went up to her, Kadaj sighed in relief, she was fine.
"Are we still husband and wife?" Kadja asked, Cassidy smiled.
"More then that."
"Huh?" Kadaj asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Come here, baby." (Y/n) said, Kadaj then heard small footsteps running up behind him. He turned and saw a young child, but his face was blurred out.
"I took the liberty to blur his face out, just so you can some surprises." Cassidy said, smiling.
"Y-you mean-"
"Yep!" Cassidy said, happily. Kadaj looked down at the small child, he couldn't see his face but Kadaj felt so much love for him already. "Well, this is only two out of three options. Shall we go to your last one?"
Kadaj looked at (Y/n), who was holding the boy, he smiled to himself.
"No." Kadaj said, Cassidy stopped.
"Really?" She asked, Kadaj nodded. "I want this."
Cassidy smiled and clapped.
"Thank GOD!" Cassidy cheered, "I was worried for a second. But, let me take you home."
Cassidy snapped, and they were back in the house.
"This is where I leave you." Cassidy said, putting her hood back on. Kadaj nodded, but stopped her before she turned away.
"Thank you, Cassidy." He said, Cassidy smiled.
"It was my pleasure, sweetheart." Cassidy said, she then turned away, but stopped. "You're going to have s pretty big headache, just warning you."
Kadaj chuckled,
"Thanks."
"Oh!" Cassidy turned around, "One more thing."
"What?" Kadaj asked.
"Can you ask if your brother is single?" Cassidy asked, Kadaj rolled his eyes. Cassidy laughed, she then snapped his fingers.
"Fine." (Y/n) said, turning away from Kadaj, she started to walk away. Kadaj, feeling his head pounding, instantly ran to (Y/n). He grabbed her and brought her close to his chest.
"K-kadaj?" (Y/n) asked, shocked.
"I'm sorry!" Kaday said, "I love you, so much. I never meant what I said, please, just stay with me."
"O-oh..okay." (Y/n) said, confused. "But I would like to hug you back."
"Oh, right." Kadaj said, he then let go and turned her around and brought her in for another hug. He sighed, breathing in her scent.
"Kadaj?" (Y/n) said, confused.
"Yes, my love?" Kadaj asked,
"What's with the sudden change?" She asked, Kadaj smiled.
"Just waking up." He said, he kissed the side of her head. He then looked Cassidy, who was like a ghost. She had her thumbs up, Kadaj smiled back at her. Cassidy then waved and disappeared. Kadaj then let go of (Y/n), he then walked passed her.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"I need to ask if Yazoo's single."
