CONTINUE BRINGING LOVE FOR SOKEEFE!!

The sky over Havenfield was a dull gray, mirroring the mood inside the house. Sophie sat at the kitchen table, her head resting in her hands. Keefe stood across from her, his arms crossed, his expression unreadable.

"You can't keep doing this, Keefe," Sophie said, her voice quiet but firm.

"Doing what?" Keefe shot back, his tone sharper than he intended.

"Running away from things," Sophie replied, looking up at him with a mix of frustration and sadness. "Every time things get hard, you shut people out. You shut me out."

Keefe scoffed, running a hand through his hair. "That's not fair, Sophie. You don't know what it's like—what it feels like to be me. To deal with all this..." He gestured vaguely, his voice trailing off.

"Then tell me!" Sophie stood, her chair scraping against the floor. "I've been here, waiting, trying to help you, but you won't let me in. I can't keep guessing what's going on in your head, Keefe. I need you to talk to me."

"You don't get it, okay?" Keefe's voice rose, and he took a step back. "You're always so perfect, Sophie. Always doing the right thing, always saving the day. But me? I'm just the guy who screws everything up. That's all I'll ever be."

Sophie's heart clenched at his words, but anger flared alongside the hurt. "Stop it," she said, her voice trembling. "Stop acting like you're the only one who's been through something hard. I know what it's like to feel broken, Keefe. I've been there. But at least I try to move forward. At least I don't give up on the people who care about me!"

Keefe flinched, but his defensiveness won out. "You think I've given up? You think I don't care? Maybe I just don't want to drag you down with me, Sophie! Did you ever think of that?"

Tears welled in Sophie's eyes, and she shook her head. "You're not dragging me down. But you are pushing me away. And it hurts, Keefe. It really hurts."

The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of her words hanging heavy in the air. Keefe opened his mouth to respond, but Sophie held up a hand to stop him.

"I can't do this right now," she whispered, her voice breaking. "I can't keep fighting with you."

Before Keefe could say anything else, Sophie turned and walked up the stairs, her footsteps echoing in the quiet house.

Keefe stood alone in the kitchen, staring at the spot where Sophie had been. He let out a shaky breath and sank into a chair, burying his face in his hands.

Upstairs, Sophie curled up on her bed, tears streaming down her face. As much as she wanted to help him, she couldn't force him to let her in. And right now, it felt like her heart was breaking in two.
