jealous biana alert!! also I loved this, it really was one of my best works. ALSO I FORGOT TO BOLD THE LAST ONE SO THIS ONE I BOLDED ALOT
Biana tried to keep her focus on the conversation, but her eyes kept drifting toward Sophie and Keefe. The two of them were just... so perfect together.
She'd noticed it first when they'd been walking through the park, Sophie's hair blowing in the breeze, some loose strands falling into her face. Without a word, Keefe reached over, brushed the hair away, and tucked it behind her ear. It was such a simple gesture, but there was something about it that made Biana's stomach twist.
And then, not even an hour later, when Sophie started to shiver a little, Keefe didn't say anything—he just took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. He didn't even hesitate, just did it like it was the most natural thing in the world, and continued talking like nothing had happened.
Biana felt her heart drop. Why couldn't Dex do that? Why couldn't he be that... thoughtful? It wasn't like Dex was a bad boyfriend—he was great, really. But he wasn't like Keefe.
Biana caught herself staring at the couple, trying to hide the jealousy simmering beneath her chest. The way Keefe could do all these little things for Sophie, the way he loved her so openly—it made Biana wish Dex would show even a fraction of that affection toward her.
They all headed to a nearby restaurant, and Biana tried to put her jealousy aside. It was late—around 10 PM—and they had all finished their meals. The conversation was still going, but Keefe seemed to be growing more tired by the minute.
Out of nowhere, he shifted, leaning his head on Sophie's lap without saying a word. Sophie, completely unbothered, started absently stroking his hair, her fingers gently threading through it as she continued talking to the others.
Biana's gaze flicked from Sophie's hand running through Keefe's hair to Dex, who was sitting next to her. He hadn't even noticed how Keefe had practically melted into Sophie's lap.
Biana's heart tightened.
Why didn't Dex do that for me? Why didn't he show me he cared like that?
She felt the jealousy rise in her chest, hot and uncontrollable. She tried to push it down, but it was hard when the couple across from her looked so... perfect. She couldn't help it. It was so unfair. She wanted a relationship like theirs. She wanted to feel the way Sophie looked when Keefe was with her, the way Sophie looked like she had the entire world in her lap.
Biana let out a deep sigh, trying to focus back on the conversation, but she couldn't shake the feeling of longing and frustration. Maybe I'll never get that.
She glanced at Dex, who was chatting with Fitz, totally oblivious to the frustration brewing inside her. Biana clenched her fist under the table, her jealousy growing stronger by the second.
As she looked back to Keefe and Sophie, she felt a pang in her chest. Why couldn't Dex be like Keefe?
It was a quiet, burning question that Biana couldn't answer.
AWWWW OKAY I LOVED THIS LIKE THE WAY HE LEANED ON HER LAP LIKE AUAUAUUEFHEAFAEFAEUFEKAF
