a/n: i was debating calling this, wherever you go thats where ill follow, after Die with a SMile by Bruno mars and Lady aagaga buttt...sandors quote fit more. I GO WHERE U GO~!!
The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the park as Sophie and Keefe walked side by side, their fingers brushing occasionally as they strolled through the quiet path lined with trees. The air was cool, but the warmth of their shared moments made it feel like everything around them was just a little bit more perfect.
Sophie broke the silence, her voice soft yet playful. "I've been meaning to ask you something, Keefe."
Keefe glanced at her, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Oh? What is it? Don't tell me you're finally going to ask for my autograph."
She rolled her eyes, her lips curling into a smile. "You wish. No, I've been wondering... If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?"
Keefe paused for a moment, his gaze turning thoughtful as he considered her question. "Anywhere, huh?" He looked at her with a sly smile. "I go where you go. That's my answer."
Sophie's heart skipped a beat at his words, the sincerity in his tone making her feel like the world had just stopped for a second. She laughed softly, but there was a warmth in her eyes as she replied, "You're such a sap, Keefe."
He shrugged, his grin widening. "Guilty as charged. But it's true. If I had to choose, I'd always want to be where you are."
Sophie's face softened, her heart fluttering in her chest. She glanced at him for a moment, not sure how to respond to such a simple yet perfect sentiment. Instead, she reached out, taking his hand in hers, and they continued walking in comfortable silence.
Keefe's thumb brushed gently against her knuckles, the simple touch making her feel more grounded than she'd ever felt before. It wasn't about the grand gestures or fancy words—it was moments like this that meant the most. Just them, together, in a world that seemed to slow down when they were with each other.
As they reached a small bench by the lake, they sat down, the peaceful sounds of nature surrounding them. Sophie leaned her head against Keefe's shoulder, feeling the tension in her body release as she settled into the quiet comfort of being with him.
Keefe, ever the playful one, nudged her gently. "You still didn't answer my question, you know."
Sophie looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, did I? Well, if I had to pick, I think I'd go anywhere with you too."
Keefe smiled, his heart swelling at her words. "Guess we've got a deal then. Wherever you go, I'm following."
Sophie snorted, playfully shoving him. "You're such a sap. But I wouldn't have it any other way."
They both laughed, the sound filling the space between them, and in that moment, they both knew—no matter where they went, as long as they were together, it would always feel like home.
