ANYONE ELSE LOVE SPARKS FLY BY TAYLOR SWIFT??
Sophie Foster’s eyes met Keefe Sencen’s across the crowded room.
The energy between them had been building for weeks—through whispered plans, reckless escapes, and the kind of teamwork that made the impossible feel effortless. Their latest mission had been intense, adrenaline still thrumming through Sophie’s veins, but there was something else beneath it. Something unspoken.
As their eyes locked, the room around them faded, the noise and movement becoming distant, like a scene in a play that no longer mattered.
Keefe smirked, his usual teasing glint softening into something more sincere. He tilted his head slightly, as if reading her mind, then took a slow step forward. "Want to get out of here?" he murmured, his voice low and inviting.
Sophie’s heart pounded. She shouldn’t feel this breathless over just a few words. And yet—she did.
She nodded, not trusting her voice.
Without another word, Keefe grabbed her hand and led her through the crowded space, weaving through people as if they were nothing but shadows in their way. The second they stepped outside, the cool night air wrapped around them, crisp and refreshing. Stars stretched endlessly above them, and the distant hum of the party faded into the background.
Keefe turned to face her, still holding her hand, his thumb brushing against her skin in a way that sent shivers up her spine. "You know, Foster," he said, his voice softer now, "I think we both knew this was coming."
Sophie swallowed hard. "Knew what?" she asked, even though she already knew the answer.
Keefe stepped closer, the space between them vanishing. "This," he whispered.
And then, before she could overthink it, his lips met hers.
The kiss was fierce, electric, filled with all the emotions neither of them had dared to say out loud. It was the thrill of adventure, the heat of unspoken confessions, the sheer inevitability of them.
When they finally pulled apart, Keefe’s forehead rested against hers, his breath slightly uneven. "Well," he said, grinning, "that was definitely worth the wait."
Sophie rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t stop smiling. "You're so dramatic."
Keefe’s fingers tightened around hers. "And yet, you’re still here."
She huffed a laugh, shaking her head. But she didn’t let go.
