It's midnight and everyone has already left except for our families. they are going to be staying over for the weekend.

My mind is so heavy  it's about to explode, I had to shake hands and accept the million hugs that came my way ,the hardest part was having to act like a proud soon to be mother when that isn't the case , I kept sinking deeper into that pit and there was no getting out .

I thought this anniversary would be different from all those other ones but it actually turned out to be the worst out of all of them , throughout this marriage I had to bare compliments that were based on lies but they were nothing compared to this , Ethan knows how badly I dreamt of having kids of my own and when I entered this marriage I had to accept the fact that my dream was nothing more than just that - a dream. and now I have no choice but to act like my dream has finally come true knowing that it's all but a sham.

"Lauren !" Caitlyn's voice echoes in my ears .

"Lauren!!" ,"hey " her hand touches my shoulder snapping me out of whatever dimension I was in .

" Are you alright? " She asks with a clear concerned expression on her face ,we are alone in the kitchen staring at the many pots that the caterers left behind because of the amount of food that's still left . One thing I learnt whilst being in this circle is that rich people don't eat , all they care about is being exalted by the public and their own friends so much so that food is the last thing on their minds. Ethan usually calls Matilda over to take the food for her orphanage.

" Yeah , I'm fine " .

" You know you can't lie to me ? , What's with the pregnancy news ?, I'm exhausted from hearing the ' congratulations on being an Aunt' and I can't imagine what it must be like for you , didn't you say Ethan has changed ? , If he has then why did he lie like that ? .... Unless you guys really..." She looks at me questionably.

" No no , if something like that happened then I would have told you " .

She lets out a breath of relief " goodness, I was almost scared for a second, so then what ? , He fooled you again didn't he ?" .

I shrug ,"looks that way " .

She slams her hand on the table ," I knew it , that bastard!, He was just trying to get you to let your guard down so he can come at you with an even harder knock , he knows how you feel about kids he must've figured that this would be the best way to torment you all the more, Sis tell me honestly why are we still here? Under his roof ? , Don't you think you deserve to be happy with someone like Austin?" .

I sigh " yep I have already decided , I'm leaving this marriage, I just need time to plan my way out without getting dad hurt , you should've seen the look I saw on his face when I grabbed the mic. I honestly don't know how I'm going to do that but I will find a way " I say determined .

She holds my hand.relieved." I never thought I'd hear such words coming from you , I'm actually proud of you, it seems to me that you have finally gotten over Ethan , the head over heels Lauren I know would've just complained about this whole situation but this one is talking about leaving?, I'm happy you came back to your senses",she hugs me, smiling .

" is Austin Kam the one who inspired you to come to this decision?, He's the only new thing in your life so it must be him " she says still holding onto me.

" Yep him and what happened tonight".

She lets go ," what happened? ,I was too busy accepting the Aunt award to speak to you , you were about to expose the truth weren't you ?" .

I nod quietly.

" Details please ?" .

Caitlyn told me from the get go that the open relationship was not a good idea and I still went with it , if I tell her all about what Sarah did and Ethan's response she'll start with the 'I told yous' and I'm not in the mood for them , I'm already going through so much I need a break .
