My spirit returns to my body , I'm surrounded by beeping sounds, someone is next to me holding my hand firmly in theirs , I wish it would be Austin, he always knew how to make things seem okay even when they were not.

I slowly open my eyes to find that it's only Caitlyn, she's silently praying over me .

I yank my hand out of her grasp , startled she opens her eyes to the sight of me pulling my monkey face.

She laughs weakly," this is not the time for jokes ".

" Where am I ?" I ask .

" You visited  this hospital countless of times when we were young,you should know it better than me " .

I smile ," yeah I forgot I used to be a sick child ".

" Even the wind was enough to get you sick " .

" Tell me about it ".

" How are you feeling?, Thank God you are alright, you had me worried for a second , haven't you come across that joke that says " no matter what you are going through in life- eat first "  she says through a half smile.

" When did you get here ?, Did Bettina let you see dad ?" .

" I haven't been here for long , she called me after the ambulance dragged you away , I came straight to the hospital".

" So you didn't see him ?".

" No but Bettina says he'll be okay and judging by the way she spoke to me I don't think she'll let me see him as well ... did you know that you are pregnant?" .

My eyebrows crease," is that a trick question?".

" No , apparently it's very important for pregnant woman to eat something ,the doctor said you haven't had anything all day ".

" Food is the least of my worries" .

" And the baby?, The least of your worries?" She asks in a soft tone obviously trying her hardest not to scold me .

I remain quiet , my reality seeps back in taking over my whole body .

" Mom's coffee shop ".

She clicks her tongue," I don't know how much time I thought I had running it under Ethan's name , I'm not too bummed about it , it was bound to happen sooner or later ".

" You are. Bettina said you were crying your eyes out when you called dad , how could you call him when you know about his condition" I snap at her.

" I don't know , I panicked, I thought the best way to keep it was to buy it as quickly as I could and dad is the only person I know who has that kind of money , I had no idea your obsessive husband had already attacked him , I hope you are not blaming me for dad's condition".

" No " , I relent," it's all Ethan's fault" .

" Whatever, try not to think too much about it and rest , I haven't seen anything on TV as well so I'm certain that your plan has failed, it was foolish of you to think you could wrestle with Ethan on your own, you should've just left quietly ".

" With the betrayal and hurt he has put me through? I acted in a fit of rage and that was wrong of me now look at what my actions have done ?, you lost mom's coffee shop and I'm certain he's behind the hacking " I sigh deeply," I am to blame ".

" No , it's not you it's him , the doctor said you should avoid stress of any kind, talking about Ethan will make you roused up , at least now we know what we are up against ".

" We ?".

" he's obviously coming for all of us it's important that we band together and rise against him ,you clearly can't handle him on your own , I'll speak to Austin,I'm sure he can help us , I can't let your husband play Priyanka's tricks on us , its like deja vu all over again ".
